Distance has no impact. Shot placement has a huge impact. If you do not hit a vital it will drop the animals trophy rating down by a full rating. If you want a diamond, shoot those vitals!

So basically, if you’re gonna set up a grind, you need 16 tents and basically you set it to the drink time of whatever you’re trying to hunt and then you go to all the lakes on the map that you’re trying to grind for an animal you’re gonna do it once you said a drink time you’re going to likescout out and once you’ve seen an animal drinking it’ll pop up on your map and then you set a tent 200 m away so that way it doesn’t speak when you spawn

I have a max level mule deer on my map, but i can't find his zones. I last spotted him in the red circle while hunting pumas, and i went to their drink time and searched all of the lakes in blue and didn't find him at any of them. Is it possible for him to be at a really far away water source?

I guess yeah, it just makes it hard to combo with other weapons since it doesn't really feel powerful enough for classes 4+, I tend to use the .22-250 for classes 2-3, and I wish I could replace it with this, it just doesn't fit well for being so heavy, especially without pack mule

if I'm being completely honest sometimes I'll just use 22 250 on stuff like whitetail if I don't wanna carry a 4-8 like with NEM so then I can just carry a 2-4 and a 7-9 and have tons of backpack space

as long as you're within 200 meters it'll down within about 100 with a single lung as long as you have a broadside or quartering shot

slot of the time you usually have a very well established sorta dune line along the beach where it blends from the bush to the sandy area/dunes to the actual beachand there's alot of dune grass or "xerophyte" flora

this is just a very limited example but EC just doesn't have that and just skips from being in the bush to just a tiny strip of sand on the beach

the lungs are 99% of the time jus the foward most 1/3 of the animals body when broadside so it doesnt really vary

generally it just follows directly up from where the leg stands and is behind where the shoulder/joint is in the leg which you can visualise when watching the animal and heres an image without all the markings from before

this goes for essentially all quadrupedal species in the game

kangaroos are like the "difficult" ones but literally their entire upper body is just lung

also all the organ diagrams are on the wiki pages for the animals or you can just refer to real life ones

I had a question about the way spawning works. basically am just grinding crocodiles for money and when I first started I killed all the 2 3 4 and after that ia now , I’ve just been killing level five and up and I’ve probably farmed it for a 6 hours and now I am now walking down the coast and spotting three or maybe four that are above four and just wanted to know if that’s totally normal or if I should change something up

Then I suggest just to kill any males on the coast

(if money is main goal - any croc is well worth the 300mag to dink it, they all pay very well - and you can pick up any wayward banteng that wander too close)

if Rares/Dimes/SR are your goal - focus mid to high level males

So just to make sure I understand if I want rares/diamonds it’s in my best interest to shoot say 5+ because when animals spawn back in on average, they’re the same or higher level leading to a better chance at rares and dimes ?

Any animal killed can go +/- 1 level when it respawns

leaving L1-4 alive sorta forces the game to "balance" the levels by spawning L5+

So yes, in essence, you can herd manage them so that you get higher levels for better chances for diamond/rare/super rare (a diamond that is rare)

For other rifles there isn't an exact distance per dot

And you rarely actually use them for other rifles

You just aim slightly higher than normal

is it still even possible? I want to reset reserve missions only (keep all my gun xp/lvl/loadouts unchanged)
