Red deer are pretty easy things to grind for Cuatro Colinas or Te Awaroa might be your best best for maps to grind on for red deer

You need to set up on drink zones that have your best red deer keep shooting them or use herd management(too much to explain) to spawn a g1

Each animal kill add +1 hunting preasure
Each animal killed elsewhere removes 0.1 hunting preasure from all preasure zones in reserve.
So you kill 1 animal, your hunting preasure becomes 1.0 = low.
You kill second one it removes 0.1 from previous and add 1.0, so in total you will get 1.9 = medium preasure zone.
After killing third one it will increase to 2.8 = high preasure zone.
If you reach 3.0 it becomes dead zone and delete all animal need zones nearby.

Bows and hunting structures drastically decrease hunting preasure. And actually can stack.

So it's possible to kill 3 animals with riffle and one with bow and you will be still under 3.0 preasure, so no zone deletion.

one good way to get rid of hunting pressure is to set up 2 duck blinds and hunt those 2 every once and a while, place a few decoys and a tent and your good, you dont really need the other stuff.

sometimes you gotta shoot em again… Its happened a few times while im rabbit hunting, sometimes it takes at least like 1-2 shots before it FULLY dies, and sometimes you have to mag dump 40 rounds of 22 lr, I lost 40 rounds worth of 22lr for 1,000 bucks.
This could vary on the animal, bt personally this only happens to me on small game animals/rabbits.

Yukon has pretty interesting story line and can randomly change weather (autumn - winter - autumn).
Sandarpatan has very interesting animal variation, but lack a story line at all.
Most players consider Sandarpatan as hardest map in the game: lots of huge hills and mountains and pretty deep forests.
Definitely a good choice if you seek challenge.

Both maps are one of the best in the game.

Me and my friend just bought the game and im curious if their is any map dlcs that are good for like duo hunting

For beginners Silver Ridge Peaks are nice.
You start on Open fields with lots of field of view. Easier to understand animal spook mechanic.

The pistol is very good if you ever need to be really restricted on how much you can carry it's a class 4-9 class rifle round (45-70) that has a weight of like 1 and uses rifle scopes it's basically a rifle in a single shot pistol form

The shotgun in kinda good it's outclassed by the 12ga pump and 16ga promotional shotgun applications but the slugs for it can take class 9

I don't know if this is permanent, but I was running the 3 tiger lake method, always have had male respawns as it's a male tiger territory in my map; I fast travelled, my dog growled before I could fully load in and the tiger was nowhere to be seen, no tracks, no drink zone indicators, nothing. I did a time reset and left the game to make sure the respawn got pushed, and I just now shot a female in the zone. It could be a stray female randomly drinking here, but I have no clue. Anyone else had this? I'll edit this in a little if my male comes back.

Edits: Another female at the 3 lake zone, hoping this is a glitch and my tigers flipped around zones as some people have had this issue. Only time will tell :/ AAAND another female at a different lake in the 3-lake method zones, a male in the adjacent territory, wish me luck with this LOL.

Bloodhound was the first dlc i ever bought and as a new player it saved me so much time esp when my soft points barely grazed an animal’s lung and i had to track foreverrr

The lab and retriever are useful, but saving time with the bloodhound helps a lot

the pointer would actually help alot more than you think. since its search range is large and lower level players dont get noise reduction perks or sight reduction perks till quite a bit in and even then they need to learn to use it the pointer telling them somethings near so they can practice could be a good boon.
