you stack as many males as you can on the four lakes until all of the females are gone usually. then when there are all males at those lakes, its good to start shooting them. if you want to herd manage, make sure you leave lvl 9s at those lakes to shoot down exterior zones. but you can start shooting the lake's males there when theres little to no females

hop into blind, shoot male pheasant

repeat, going back to main menu as needed when animals dont spawn in

As a player that mostly focus on quests, for me most valuable DLC was adding night vision, crossbows and shotguns.
Crossbow allow you to complete almost all quest required Bow, and DLC shotguns grant you access to slug ammo bypassing weapon mastery requirements.
Also useful Pointer dog DLC as it realy help to find small carnivores like Foxes, Coyotes, Lynx and Pumas.

Game has 3 different dogs af for now (3 different DLC):
-Bloodhound;
-Retriever;
-Pointer.
Each has it's own, unique ability and perks.
Bloodhound can feel blood trails in about 100 metres radius and pursuit wounded animal until it's dead (found carcass gives you additional experience) or if bleeding stopped - allow you to continue to track wounded animal. Also allow to highlight wounded animals, it can be useful to track fleeing underwater crocodiles.

Pointer allow you to find and spot some random nearby animal (excluded big predators like bears, lions, wolves). You can limit randomness by setting an animal size (small lvl1 in about 100m radius, medium lvl2-6 in, about 300 metres radius, or large lvl 7-9 animals in about 400 metres radius).
Also it allow you to track specific animal spotted in last 3 seconds by your binoculars (it will be highlighted every 30 seconds for about 5 seconds). Useful in deep grass or forests.
With proper perks it can track specific animal family if you find tracks or poop nearby (for example all pumas on the map after finding footprints).

Have never tested but pretty sure it won't. AFAIK there is no servers in game, so basically you client receive information only while you are in a multiplayer session.

If you give lots of commands your Focus will deplete fast enough.

Grinding is killing a lot of the sane animal, specifically males to get better ones

Setting up for a grind is placing tents at each need zone for that particular animal so you can fast travel back and forth.

Great one is the end result of grinding, meaning a very impressive buck or other animal you’re hunting

No a great one is a very specific animal variant. They are only available on 8 species and have different fur types antlers max weight and difficulties. They are often the end goal of a grind because they are so rare but are more than just a high rating buck.

To become a diamond raccoon dog should have at least 9.29 rating. Try to observe lots of lvl 8 racoon dogs and you will find an answer.

As far as I know every bird that has a caller will eventually respond on call and land on top of your head, immediately spook and fly away.

Very lucky players was able to spawn G1 under 1k kills,
lucky one over 2k kills
average is approximately 5k kills
sometimes it not spawn over 10k kills
So yeah, its pretty random.

Theres 8 of them spread across the northern himal and pahad, they take some time to find and they dont have drink zones. run open hillside(light brown areas on your map) checking for zones, tracks, and vocalizations
