If you look at Dom guides for all the lion drinking. There's no way you can see everything before respawns start. Go through the spots reset time and shutdown game and restart grinding. It is the only way now.

Yes stay forever. It depends on hunting style if it's worth it. You will find most are no good when the wind is blowing south. If you start early before 7am the wind stays mostly west. So you can use them no problem.

If you had it marked then you could follow its footprints, if you have the skill that shows the weight of an animal use it to check all the footprints until you see one that had the potential for max weight and follow them hoping you get lucky

My suggestion would be to go over into YouTube and look up ronmctube. He's one of the partners content creators and has done a LOT of red deer grinding

And by a lot I mean he has gotten his hm in the past to be life, every the kills is a dime

But basically watch his red deer vids.

There's gotta be a ton of tips in there that you could make use of
