Hello, i have recently been enjoying COTW on pc and ps5, now i have a question, is it possible when spotting an animal to disable that outline? I like spotting animals to get information about distance and weight size etc, but for me realism is a important part of hunting for me. And when i spot an animal it gets highlighted, when the animal is in thick busshes and i spot it and switch quickly enough to my rifle i can shoot the animal (because i see the outlines), any way to disable only this outline? ofcourse i want to keep tracks hightligted

Revontuli if your into small game cus birds are basically everywhere (don’t shoot quails, pheasants or ptarmigans off the ground cus they need to be in the air to have a score)

The crocodiles are a really great way to get cash if you got the weapon dlc that includes the malmer 7mm

Hey guys, It's been a while since the wife and I played COTW, but the new Sundarpatan reserve peaked our interest and so today we both purchased it and have been playing for the past hour or so, but I don't know if this is a bug with it or something else but we both keep loosing our tools/weapons! It doesn't matter what we've just been doing whether it was looking at the map, riding the quad bike, or building a hide, as soon as we go back to 1st person we can't get our tools/weapons up? They show up as being selected in the bottom right hand corner and we can scroll through them using the mouse wheel, but we don't have them in our hands and can't use them! And it take us messing about with our inventories in order to get them back! Any help or ideas as to why this is happening would be greatly appreaciated, thanks Jim.

Multiplayer is not a server based thing, it's all peer-to-peer connections, so ultimately if you are having issues it could be that it is a desync issue between you and the endpoint user

Even if you both have great internet, any fluctuation could be the culprit - so if you or they have a dip - that could be the end of it.
For a long time I struggled to stay in a map with my husband when we were just dating (He lived in EU and I lived in NA)

the lever action dlc rifle is one of the most versatile guns in the game right now and it is insanely strong. other than that it really is all personal preference ngl. a gun that i think is bad you may love ya know? just experiment and find when you feel comfortable with

7mm regent magnum if you want a base game weapon (costs 36000) or Malmer 7mm magnum from the hunter power pack. Both are class 4-9, which means you can use it on any medium to large game.

Now ofcourse a .300 will serve you better for class 7-9, but if you want 1 rifle it will do almost everything

It’s a little known thing that you can use too. H = holster current item. Sometimes in multiplayer, peeps do that to get a better pic of another person with their name in view

For class 4 and below, most peeps prefer a class 4-8 rifle for class 4. For class 1, you need a .22LR or .22H, or a shotgun loaded with birdshot.

For class 2-3, my personal go-to is the .243

Do not underestimate the utility of the .243

playing on and off since 2019.. i know while back they made animals smarter - ie they dont wander back to the same need zone after being spooked - how long does that "spooked"effect last?. If i go rest till next day and come back, will animals be back to need zone?
