Varies from map to map, just keep culling the males, you’ll see results eventually, by sticking to a few groups you’ll develop those zones much faster

Hello fellow gamers, Just played COTW for a few hours on gamepass and I'm hooked. That being said the version that I am playing does not have any dlc available, if I were to purchase the game (which I will be doing) what bundle (master, seasoned hunter, greenhorn) would be recommended (also if there are other DLC worth purchasing lmk). I want to make sure I'm playing the most enjoyable version of the game from the start (this is mainly brought on by the idea of hunting with a dog lmao). TYVM for your insights

I've been looking through the pins and don't see anything. Does anyone know where I can find good information for Heard Management? So far the consensus I've gotten is to kill the high level animals in the pact ... but leave the low level ones?

In one video, he is hunting the 2-3s for the deer and leaving the 1s. I thought you'd want them all to be upgraded, right? Another article I read you only kill the highest level males...

Does anyone have a link or something where they learned? Or something a little better?

Stack 3s in the main zones by shooting all males except 3s
Once you have probably 10-13 3s stacked move to the exteriors and shoot them down to roughly 80% level 1s (or 70-85 weight estimate males if you don’t want to go crazy)
Once that’s done go back to the main zones, kill the 3s, and then repeatedly kill any level males that spawn there

I don't get the exterior thing at all... except again being told to leave the level 1s. Why any male? 😬 I guess I'll ask again, where did you learn or do you have a link for it?

Stacking 3s is just not killing them
Because that’s just how you’re supposed to do it
Exteriors are zones you put low levels in and don’t grind after HM is done
You kill any males at the main zones (zone you grind once HM is done) so that you always have males to shoot on the grind

go to in-game menu-> system-> interface and check your clues settings. Pay special attention to hide all animal clues (should be off) and spotting outline (should be on)

there is a hotkey U that toggles the hide all clues setting, it's possible you hit this at some point unintentionally

If you spot a turkey in the game it will show you what class it is, and then if you look at the ammo in the game it will tell you what classes that ammo is for. I think there are all kinds of guns and ammo for turkey, take your pick.

22 with truncated cone is perfect for class 1. The other ammo also works, but is weaker on geese and turkeys. As said there must be a mixup somewhere along the line and a screenshot would help us help you, because that setup can't go wrong.

When you warp to that tent the animals visiting the need zone won't render in. This can be a problem or a benefit depending how you use it. I use 250m as my minimum, I've seen some other people say 230m is okay. Revontuli is usually considered the best whitetail grind map, but any map with whitetail on it can work if you like it.

Hi I just bought cotw for my grandpa and it has a lot of problems. I bought him the bundle that came with a few weapon packs and a bloodhound but none of them will load. I bought and named the bloodhound but it doesn’t show up on the map. Also, the shop is completely empty and if I try to buy a new rifle all that shows up is the Ranger .243. Different guy, but the .308 is great too. One of the hardest hitting rounds for class 4-8 and the Zarza semi automatic has relatively mild recoil. Ol' Reliable we call it.
