Silver ridge is a good map with heaps of animals and emerald coast will be able to get you heaps of money if you run the beach on the right side and killing all the crocs

Silver ridge is a better starting map tho so yeah

Emerald coast maybe if you decide to buy the modern weapons pack and use the zarza .308 or Yukon and level up to get the .300 and you will make a lot of money

And if you try to get one out of the sky, you have to lead your shot a little infront it

Hey folks!!! Got a question here. I got back on COTW the other night after a few months off. All my progress was saved and looking good. I closed out the game and got back on the next day. Everything was lost. The only option was “new game” on the main menu.

Since then I’ve discovered that every time I start the new game, play a bit, exit the game, and re open, everything is lost and it resets every time. Any suggestions or tips? Thanks!

First one I bought was the modern rifles pack, Has some great rifles including .308s and .22s 308 is good for bear, moose and other medium to large game and the .22 is good for small game like duck and turkey. Very good pack and would definitely recommend. Although if you are looking for a good general dlc then absolutely get the Savanna map. I’ll admit I’m quite biased as I’m from South Africa, and often travel to reserves like these. However it’s a very good map for beginners with hares, springbok, Gemsbok, Buffalo and Lion. It pays well.

I also recommend buying a hunting dog, bloodhound specifically, once you figure them out it’s a great tool to have

Yes, it just might not have the same penetration as it would from a closer distance. Setting your zero to 75, 150, or 300 will allow your rifle to hit right in the middle of the crosshair at that distance 🙂

animals have schedules. they eat at a certain time, drink at a certain time, sleep at a certain time. so just be wary of your surroundings. also, aim just behind the shoulder for a lung shot.

As long as you didn't leave the map it's body should be there. Go from where you shot (the hunting pressure circle on your map) and try tracking from there

I reported ages ago when the map released, they asked for video and such. Haven't heard back since. I stopped playing until recently. It's the actual indicator on the bottom right. Get 1 bit of red when in the ankle tall grass.

Not sure if its just a visual thing on the indicator, or if it is actually generating more noise.

Berenstain Bear, I have a tip for new players

#1 get the ATV dlc if you are on PC, console has it default

#2 drive around and get all the lookout towers, and as you get them get the outposts that show up that you havent been to

#3 as you do this, be on the lookout for rest zones and need zones, they arent footprints but like grassy area tracks

#4 once you get all of those, do main missions, if you get to one that is hard, go to the next map on your list and do the same thing

granted, this is to level up fast and learn different aspects of the game, if you just wanna focus one reserve cause it has animals you like the best, thats fine

I run zarzas myself, but for difficulty 8 you gotta be accurate, and obviously difficulty 9 you need a different weapon

there are 3 weapon caliber guns for zarza, .22lr, .223, and .308

so you can effectively harvest 1-8 class animals if you have all three equipped

22 is class 1, 223 is 2-4 I believe, and 308 is 4-8 I believe

you can kill them with any weapon, but you will only get a diamond medal on them if you use a class 9-rated weapon + ammo
(7mm regent/empress magnum are class 4-9 for the record)

the 7mm can be a bit innaccurate though at longer ranges, Hirschfelden has a gun range you can check how close you are to a perfect shot from various distances

it was actually a hard google, you dont want to hit there, you want the lungs up front, just careful not to hit bone

like most quadropeds, a bit behind the front shoulder will do it, and with a 7mm mag, you should double lung on a good shot.

also a tip, if you look where you shot them and there is a lot of blood saying you hit vitals, that animal is dead. you wont have to track it for long, but if it says no vitals hit, you need to sneak and find it again if you really want it, if its not a prime specimen, let it be and let it survive

you can also tell if its dead by the map, if there is the purple circle where you shot it, it is dead somewhere

Hey does anyone have any tips for whitetail on Revontuli? I have multiple red deer, black bear, and fallow great ones, but it is super hard for me to get set up on whitetail. I have run my map several times and only have 52 zones. I just started shooting at various zones, but not getting consistent respawns. I am sure I have checked everywhere.

U can place down a ground blind or tripod and that will allow u to kill 15 in a zone before it disappears I believe
