75% comes down to skill

Different tactics help, like if you're shooting animals that are drinking always shoot one that's not active in the drinking animation first while a other one is so you can get the other as it's bringing it head up

Always release your breath as you shoot it lowers recoil

And use max sensitivity and get really skilled with the movement

I don't know but the only thing I can say is to visit the archery range in parque fernando to do some testing and get confident with it.

Top dot is the zeroing range (by default 40m, but is you have zeroing perk, it is what you have it set). Centre dot is +20m to top and bottom dot is +40m to top. Depends also on the bolts, on heavier bolts it might be +15m. Use the PF shooting range to be sure.

No they will always be in the same until you kill them that's why killing anything and everything is best because it promotes respawns

How do I get started as an utter noob

I find myself finding animals and losing about half of them through the tracks. Most shots aren't vital hits even though I am aiming for them. I have watched some vids and am mostly just trying to figure out how to get my money going

Additionally, for whatever reason there's a bug and the sights on my guns aren't even shooting towards the center left/right so sorting that out made a big difference in how successful I am. depends on which great one for specific details, but find all/most drinking zones (do not kill anything during this process) and then figure out what you want to make your shooting zones (spots with big herds or a lot of herds) and then figure out exterior zones (small herds with no males, small males, etc.) and set up tents and tripods at said zones while youre finding them(250m away from zone with tent and roughly 175m for tripods or whatever other stand you use)

as long as you check the boxes its fine. the trophy level correlates to the level so in this instance the boar would (normally) be diamond, so in this instance it seems you just got a really bad level 4

The rifle on it is a heavy hitter. Only suitable for larger animals (not including the common whitetail deer, fallow deer, blacktail deer, etc)

I like the drilling rifle for the bigger game

having that extra zoom early on vs red deer is a huge bonus

you could use a 308 semi but that doesnt add much

unless you get good enough to shoot 3/4 out of a herd in one go

and ofc. the double barrel shotgun on the drilling rifle is just nice to have in a pinch

I tend to bring all 3 ammos for the shotty, bird buck and slug

If you need more than 1 shot at once ( follow ups or multiple targets ) the 308 should be fine

make sure to check class on animals before bringing ammo

Hunting fallow deer is quite easy with the antler rattlers

especially on Hirsch near the windpark

if you get to know that part of the map and know how to navigate the open fields under the windmills

itll be super easy. just sneak in, antler rattler, wait for em

once I have killed one or more and the herd has disappeared, I like to just FT to a new outpost and continue there

Layton I advice you to just go walk around. Most maps its the same thing anyway. Go look for water and there will be animals

at 10:00 they start drinking there

so 10:30 they will be moving around the water
