There's two dlc maps you can buy, saseska safari is the better of the two though. Both are larger than the Layton one and you can place anything anywhere, as long as the mount is the right size for it.

The level of the animal is usually a pretty solid indication, although not always 100% accurate.
Whitetail max at level 3, so most level 3s will be diamonds.
And Great Ones are their own special level, 10 - Fabled

tier 2 in ambushing is good to get leveled up. You gain some useful information getting tools and it makes it easier if you are going for trophies (which I don't recommend doing if you are newer to the game)

They are particularly sought after by the community because of their rarity.

thats why when people open maps there is a chance they can lose their great ones, or rares that they know of currently on the map - to other players in MP sessions

if you opened it in single player right this moment, and went to the area you spotted it, you in theory should be able to see it roaming around

It's why when people have really ground out a GO and know its on the map, that opening to MP can let someone else find it and kill it before you do

Ah yeah, no. It's also why a common complaint of people hosting MP maps, you will see them say things about people destroying their need zones.

Hunting pressure carries over, so if you open your map up rn in SP, you'll see pressure from where people had hunted yesterday

The 7mm is a pretty versatile weapon for medium-sized and larger animals

In my grind for a great one red deer, I was hunting in random places of the map to ease off the hunting pressure from my main red deer zones after I got 3 diamonds at 7 lakes. I downed a random whitetail deer and then I had to go eat so I closed the game and came back to pick it up afterwards, but it despawned, and this got me thinking, do the animals spawn change every game session?
I am worried bc time to time, once a week or so my game sometime crashes, and I wanna know if this could happen when I find a great one, for it to despawn.

Pick what animal you want to focus on, and make it their drink time. Look at a hotspots map for that animal’s drink zones. Try and find a part of the map that you can cover multiple lakes in a single drinking time. Start at one end of that stretch, and then hunt into the wind. Sprint until you are 250 yards from the new lake, then stop. Also stop anytime you hear a warning call. This will allow you to cover more ground, see more animals, and prevent spooking your target species while still seeing other animals

Do this route on emerald coast during fallow drinking time and you will encounter a lot of game resting on the hills above the river

I recommend watching a guide, but I would say that step #1 would be to find all drink zones for that species on the map, #2 target the zones with the most animals from most to least, #3 Shoot only the males, #4 shoot high level animals first, #5 be wary of removing the zones and know if you shouldn't worry about removing zones, #6 repeat.

Tents will help, I haven't started a real grind yet because I don't have tents, but I've watched some guides and got some advice from people who have been doing grinds for a long time.

when you buy the weapon packs, they're free, but you pay for ammo and may need a higher rifle score for the polymer tip bullets

as for the weapons that come with reserves, you do need the required weapon score to buy them and their ammo, and they are not free

Bloodhound gets fantastic as soon as you shoot several animals at the same spot. Tracking one blood trail tends to be no problem, but when you e.g. sat on your tripod for some time and shot a whole bunch of animals around a lake, imho it's virtually impossible to collect all of them without the dog

I always recommend getting the 4x8x scope first, it's called the Hyperion.
After that the 7mm rifle is good as a first new gun since it covers a wide range of classes
