Yeah she does. I don't know what the issue was/is. When I originally posted the question I was getting 50, 100, 150m zeroing. Now I'm getting 25, 50, 75m zeroing, the same as she is. So I'm thinking the 'bug' might have been on my part and it's sorted it's self out at some point over the weekend!

It depends on how you want to play the game, if you want to play with callers more, then go for the 2nd tree. If you like to chase animals, then go for the 1st tree.

Lions don’t drink in large herds so you don’t have to worry about hunting pressure unless you go on a massacre. Find their drink zones, which a lot will be put in the open, some will be within the tall brush next to the water. Since you don’t have tripods, try to get to higher ground so you can see them better

I just purchased addons and these things helped me progress so much faster. What a bummer. My only complaint right now is that the mouse cursor is invisible so it makes it harder to waypoint, and select things such as saving harvests, etc

yes, the animals on your map stay, also if you kill a animal and do not harvest it you will not see that animal respawn until you restart the game. but that does not mean itll be the same rank as last time

Zeroing is like adjusting your scope irl.
Marksman will adjust it to be higher or lower depending on the distance of the shot.

The same can be said about the game. That's pretty much what is happening. Instead of physically aiming higher at 300m you can just put your crosshairs on the target and it shoots strait. Without zeroing you would have to aim higher.

You'd don't have to unlock it.... but it is highly recommended as it will make shipping 100% easier. But if you're more into a more difficult challenge then I guess stick without it.

When you get 'close' to the animal, the dog can often go into Critical Position which spooks the animal immediately. I'm not sure what counts as 'close' but probably less than 60 metres. I got fed up of making it lie down all the time so I don't use him anymore. Much better gameplay without the dog, imho. If I ever lose a blood trail, I'll just go retrieve him.

You're going to want to unlock the ability soft feet later on. An ability that makes you heard less.

For now focus on walking, places I would run are uphill where you would be likely to scare an animal on the other side. Focus on walking on open areas.

haven't noticed any crazy wind problems either at ranges of 50 to 270meters, bullets when right where I aimed with the 30-06

The way I see it is like this...
If an animal grunts at me I stop what I'm doing. If I'm running I walk.
If I am walking and it does it I crouch.
If I'm crouching and it does it I go prone.

Also a skill that's very useful is soft feet.

Animals will hear you less.

good lord soft feet is a godsend. and to give my own evidence, I've seen a doe warning call and run off and the buck still came right up to my caller to be shot

hmm, well I've had zero problems hitting my targets and one shotting everything, I've aimed for heart shots multiple times in the past few days and landed heart shots. I'll test at the range but my play evidence suggests I'm not having an issue

yeah, I just bought the .300 camping magnum and a lung shot on a moose only nets me 50% bonus, they still run even with that cannon lol

anything past 100meters doesn't penetrate very far with polymer tip rounds, I think I hit both lungs once at like 50m on a moose and it still freaking ran

Chep if you wanna hunt bigger game with that .270, go for black bears, it can penetrate their lungs and down em within a reasonable time, got my first black bear kill with that

Maybe this is a strange question, but my husband and I have never tried a great one grind before but we really love the fallow deer great one and want to try grinding finally. We figured we’d do one at a time and grind for his first on multiplayer. Does that screw anything up since he is not solely killing in his zones? I guess I’m trying to ask if a great one spawns from kills on a map or from personal kills someone makes. Hopefully y’all get what I’m trying to say, sorry!

You can do it in mp but it makes it so much more of a pain because after every run you have to restart the server

You also have to deal with any connection issues crashing

A rotation of one killing and one picking up would be a pretty fast method

So basically to answer your question yes it will work
