You need to use the in game camera and also iirc the photo an animal quests all need to be within 75m or so of the animal

so a long distance shot wont work

All of them are good to my knowledge, just look at the ammo types and bring the highest caliber that supports the animal you want. As a general tip, I suggest never moving faster than walking or crouch running depending on whether you're on foliage, start crouch walking around 150 meters around big game, and crawl if they go attentive. Make sure the wind doesn't blow your scent, since a lot of animals probably have a really good sense of smell

Aim just behind the shoulder if you're on their side, aim toward the left (your right) just below the neck and between the shoulders head on, you'll almost always hit the lungs or heart once you get a feel for it

The callers only work inside a given distance, like 200m. Don't spam callers. if you get an animals attention, wait until they lose interest before you call again. Lower level animals are more likely to respond to callers. Usually females react before males.
And obviously, don't try to use callers when animals are nervous.

1. Consistency:
   Consistency and patience are key because getting diamonds is rare.

2. Stealth:
   Being quiet is another key part. Make sure your skills/perks are setup to keep you as quiet as possible. Also if you don’t carry a backpack, your noise is reduced two-fold(I’m pretty sure).

3. Zone Knowledge:
   You should pretty much keep your hunting to drink zones. Set the time for the desired animal. Try to get positions with good vantages over the shores and make sure to keep some scent remover on if the wind is bad. Run through all of your drink zones at the right time and try to kill as many of the desired animal(almost always the males). Every respawn has a chance of being a diamond just don’t kill zones with single animals in it because that will wipe the zone.

Generally my follows range from like insta dead to 25 mins max so you said you shot out of range maybe try being closer to your target while shooting or using the correct weapon/ammo for the animal you are hunting and then obviously really aiming for heart or lungs.

There’s no other way, the maps do look very nice though so it goes a lot faster if you’re talking to friends ect rather than just sitting there driving from point to point

Yeah it looked like you just got scammed from the image but shooting side on does tend to be better also at least for me

what keeps happening to me is they walk up to me with the lure from a front angle and never turn to give me a side shot, then they're so close after the first shot that the second one is almost impossible to hit cause of the relative speed.

basically they approach my position until they spook themselves without ever presenting their side

If you find any hot spots they tell you what time to go there and stuff should spawn there regardless unless you scare them especially like deer drinking zones then herds spawn usually

I use bows all the time - if it wasnt firing while prone I would say you need to spec into the uhhhh skill? that lets you fire while prone. Not sure on Crossbows, never used them tbh

Hello, Ive got 3 questions about some Dlcs. 1 is, in the tents Dlcs it says you can deploy 8 tents in any reserves. Do you get these 8 free or do you have to buy them and the Dlcs just gives you access to it? Im a little confused on that one. My other question is, is the tripod and tree hunting Dlc worth it? And then here comes my last question. What field on the Hirshfelden reserve is the best for duck hunting?

Oh and i forgot to add this question, i got the blood dog Dlc and im very pleased with it. Its just that the dog might alert the animals aswell no?

To answer your fist question: you get 8 free tents that you can place but you can also buy tents for 16 k in the store.

• Tripod Treestand has been WELL worth it to me, it offers you to put stands up where there might not be a paid for stand (or the paid for stand offers bad angles)
• All cornfields are good for geese in Hirsch
• Dogs do have a spook-radius, but they have to be like right up on the other animals. You will notice a 'Critical Position' icon - thats when you guys are about to scare something.. And generally I have had my dog laying out on the ground, and had animals walk right up on it while I was in a tripod hunting

I mean, I use them when I find overlapping zones. Put a tent up like 220m from the zones, and the tripod like another 15m closer

then I can shoot at them, run and collect etc

Or I use them for goose hunting, put myself like 75m from the decoys and post up with the .22LR

This will vary player to player. I really like the feel of the M1, lots of folks enjoy the 7mm.. .243 I think covers class 2-6, but I've just barely begun using it so I cant speak to its efficacy

Hi, I have a problem and would like some help.
whenever I try to equip my bow/crossbow in hand it disappears and crashes all interactions with quick bar items, I just can't use bow/crossbow to hunt, does anyone know how to solve this?
I can even unlock the items by changing the bow/crossbow slot in the quickbar but I can't use them.
Observation: I've already tested pressing the H, removing and replacing the ammo, open and close the camera with P nothing solves it.

Hello, i have another question. Ive been goose hunting recently and its all going well but i can only get about 2 goose down before the group is gone. Anyway to slow them down? Is there a weapon with a silencer?

No silencer and truly its proximity based, you're well within spook range when firing a weapon I'm guessing, so its just gonna be a point of shooting quickly. Shotguns with 5 shells lets you fire fairly quick

you can get p good at .22Lr or .22 pistol multifiring

do both shotgun and .22lr for shooting upclose and also swapping to .22lr for when they're further out

in which case.. Still clicking accept will pay you

Saved Harvests are for trophies you want to hold onto in case you can find a better one, (so like a Silver Medal Albino, but you wanna try to get a Diamond one) or if you dont have the cash to taxidermy it right then and there

You dont have to Save the harvest at all, basically. Just click accept, unless you REALLY wanna hold on to it for some reason

The most important thing to remember: Killing any male can spawn the GO.
