1. The spook radius of rifle shots has been increased and you are likely to 'full spook' herds more easily (they won't come back).
2. Issues with the zone itself, for example hunting pressure, or you killed all the bucks belonging to that zone, etc.
3. Spawns/respawns for the zone being weird. In which case quit to main menu, close and reopen game.

Have a loadout that allows you to kill any class you come across.
If you use a bow, you'll use more time stalking to get close, but less time finding animals because you don't spook them as much.

Not preposterous at all, it's a good shout but I still place my bets on the .22 pistol. With a good duck setup I could level pistols quicker than the revolver with that.

I am playing on ps4 pro. It does not tell me how many hours I have played so I‘m not sure how much I lost. Worth quite a few levels and rare fur trophies.
I never experienced anything like that with any other game, which why I never made an external backup. but thanks for the tip. If feel like playing again I will do that.
I have also filed a request for manual saves on PlayStation, that way the game could operate on its own auto-save-files and I would have something to fall back to.

Every weapon is rated for a different range of animals

A rifle that’s great for one animal may be too powerful for another, or not powerful enough for yet another

So the key is to choose a selection of weapons that cover all animals

I think you can actually take that pic anywhere in that area and it will count .... but search all over that area till you find a fallow feed or rest zone. Normally animals have a pattern they will rotate from feed to drink to rest through out the day .... See if you can track them to see if you can find where they are going to drink.

If you want to hunt quail your best friend is tracks. Find some, then walk to where they lead

Never run until you’re sure you’re within a comfortable distance (25-50m), they’ll spook far outside of shotgun range

After you’ve gone around the map and found a sufficient amount of zones. Just keep revisiting each zone and follow the same steps you did before, walk into firing distance, flush them, repeat

It’s the single best map for red deer

Each lake has a pretty high concentration of red deer, and you can comfortably set up on each area that they drink and pretty much cover every zone they have in a single run

You could play the other maps through multiplayer since as long as someone in the lobby owns the dlc you can hunt on it. Alternatively if you alr own the Goose hunting dlc you could do that to get some cash. If all else fails you could start a great one grind.

The Bearclaw Lite CB-60 is a premium color variation of the Razorback Lite CB-60, i.e. a reskin.
The Bearclaw was released early in the games life cycle as DLC, and it has very slightly tweaked values for hipfire spread and stability, but nothing noticeable.

I suggest that when you get the opportunity you restart the game, jump over to another reserve.
Then try to de-equip the ammo from the inventory menu.
Then try to re equip from the radial menu. And if none of that works, get back to us with pictures/video. If nothing else it can be filed as a bug report.

I would say yes, unless you are really good at range estimation and holdover for the muzzleloader.
With that being said, If you have the hudzik, you probably also have the M1 Garand in 30-06 so I think if I was you I would save the money for the .338, which is essentially the 7mm's bigger brother. And then buy the 7mm down the line because it is a beautiful killing machine.

Search around for feedzones in the Hirschfelden region. They tend to be in the fields. When you find one, just drop a ground blind, change the time, and call them over.

It is across all species. Currently it does not affect your end score or medal.
I think it might affect the money or xp gain, I'm not sure 🤔

No, You can't get it, if an animals shot on your map in multi then it respawns as a different spawn

So for example if someone shot a red deer level 8 on your map, he won't be there on sp, He will have respawned

A lot of people focus on drink zones because you know where the lakes are and they have an open field of view. (As long as the animal has drink times).

If its a zone with only one animal then that 'herd' will be deleted.
But if you wipe a zone and there are remaining members of the herd, they can still go to that herd's other need zones. Let's say you wiped a drink zone, a new drink zone will be generated for the herd (outside the current hunting pressure).
PS. you should not be trying to grind for a GO yet. It is a good way to get burnt out and loose interest in the game.

actually I'm not, just mentioned because it would make more sence to explay the question, the problem is that I often don't pay attention to the hunting pressure and end up deleting it

No, there is always a set amount of animals that is supposed to be on your map, regardless of how many need-zones there are.
When you kill an animal, let's say a level 4 male Moose, it will queue another male moose to spawn somewhere else on the map.
This 'respawn' (term used by this community) is not immediate and you might have to wait some ingame days and/or quit to main menu, etc. but it will happen eventually.

I believe the new moose is guaranteed to be of the same gender, but it may be another level. It will be a new animal and the game generates a random number for its trophy score, which is what in the end determines if you get a silver/gold/diamond medal.

There is a belief among some community members that the new spawn will most likely be an animal with roughly the same difficulty level. So if you kill a level 4, it will cause a new 3, 4, or 5 to spawn. As far as I know this has not been confirmed, as the developers refuse to divulge the inner workings of the respawn/population system.

And let's say you kill that level 4, and a new level 3 spawns on your map. The new animal wil either join an existing herd with established need zones, Or it will generate its own group of need zones.

Animals take anywhere between 30 minutes to 2 and a half hours to get to their zone (ingame time)

If the need zone icon is gone, you've probably killed all the red deer that visited the area. If not, you might have stacked up hunting pressure (pink highlight on map) which is why the remaining will be avoiding it. In that case, you can hunt elsewhere for some time (get actual harvests) and it will slowly take away hunting pressure from your spot.

Also, if it is hunting pressure, you can use the blinds if you have DLC for it - as it will reduce about half the hunting pressure that is created otherwise.

Awhile ago I asked how to start a new game with all clean stats, but the stats in the Codex were persistent. After 1,200 hours in the game, I wanted a fresh start as if I never played before. If anyone wants to do the same, you have to delete your Apex account. After you delete it, you will have a 24 hour window to wait until you can create a new account, or you can restore your account if you changed your mind. This clears the Codex and you now get a fresh start as if you never played before. Just wanted to pass this on to anyone who also might want a fresh start. Happy hunting
