Hey guys, I’m hoping someone has tips on swapping a male and female predator zone? I’m on sundarpatan trying to swap male and female tigers and I’ve only managed to do it once out of 10 attempts. I start on a new session, Down the female and male I wish to swap but don’t pick them up, exit to main menu then load back the map and wait 15 mins IRL before resetting time and checking again. I know it’s a 50/50 chance but it seems I’m missing something or it’s been patched out of the game.

though in this particular game, i have 1-6 on my dpad, 0 on one of the face buttons that become my dedicated binocular button, and bottom dpad has become map

PS3 Move Navigation controller, but a left Switch Joycon can do pretty much the same thing

mouse have benefits to gaming. controllers with analog sticks have benefits to gaming, keyboards have absolutely none outside of raw number of binds mapped at once

it'll take some used to though, right stick for turning your character in other directions, gyro for fine aiming... not sure if "flick stick" works in TheHunter, but in that setup, the right analog stick controls the direction in the game world that your character faces.. so left on the right stick will immediately turn you 90 degrees to the left

my recommendation.. just set it so gyro aiming activates when you're holding down the aim button, that way it'll work when you're actually taking shots, but not get in the way outside of that moment

you can test this with something rapid-firing like the .22 pistol at the range

the game will prevent you from outright pulling the trigger on your dog, but if you keep spamming the trigger, the high rof of the pistol I mentioned will keep the weapon cycling

and since you’re at the range, you have infinite ammo

so by basically hosing down the dog with bullets, you can get a general idea of the dog’s hitboxes

(the bloodhound’s only hitbox is its torso, the pointer only has a hitbox inside its neck)
