any solo/pair animal will always move zones upon harvest
there are some areas where they will 90% of the time respawn there again

you can swap out solo females the same way bear swapping works. wait till all respawns have completed, kill the female you want to swap dont pick it up, then go somewhere else and kill a male, dont pick it up, leave the game. rejoin. wait 10 minutes

the only 1 I'll probably use is the 500 for when I go croc hunting, the 22h is better then 17hmr and i personally dont like how the 25 06's ammo is separated into 2 groups when I can use other weapons that cover those species lvls without having to constantly switch/buy multiple ammo for 1 gun

for me when im not grinding I use the .22lr for lvl 1s, the Quist 7.62X39 for lvls 2-3, .308 or 7mm for lvls 4-6 and the .375 for lvls 7-9. my idea is to have as much over-kill as possible while still passing the harvest check and each of those have the highest dmg output for those lvls

I considered getting the AK semi autos to help grind great ones but I'm not sure they'll perform much better than the garand I already have. I could also get the .375, not for taking trophies, but to instantly drop any deer it touches
The garand has a lot of weird recoil that makes clean follow-ups challenging

This game has more than one bugged dlc. Almost half of maps has some issues or bugs which are will never solved. Some older dlc guns has no purpose, like mosin, or has visual bugs like 10 fps reaload animation on drilling.
And it all exist many-many years.

Issues with missions?
Most maps have issues with missions, yes.
But, for example, hirschfelden bushes don't work at all as hiding spots. Basically walking/stalking gameplay is just ruined in this map completely because you can't hide.
Animals still has very poor pathfinding, especially in hard landscapes/terrains maps like medved-taiga, and they stuck often between trees or hills.

NEM still has a couple broken missions, I've been reporting them for the last few years with no changes yet. One of them can be completed if you don't explore your map and just beeline the main story, but the other is completely borked.

Dunno how many people are working on game, but with their monetization system I think they are just can't do much bug fixes, cuz making new maps apparently takes too much time. And without new dlcs game just is not profitable enough. But it's just my thoughts, idk how in reality it actually is.

The problem is that the game itself are pretty niche. For long time support it's pretty hard to make constant source of money.
Of course, in my opinion, it would be better if they just focused more on making game better than bigger, and make dlsc more meaningful, with new mechanics, like feeders.
But it is what it is.
For now, both the biggest animal hunting games are deep in the bugs which ruining overall experience, and we can't do a lot about it. If only people could together agree not to buy any more dlcs.

If your a PC user your missions are a file as far as I understand you can delete it too reset them across all maps.

I love the DLCs in the game, but there should be a checkbox in the settings so that DLC weapons aren't automatically set to βFREE,β giving players like me the option to choose. It breaks my immersion, personally, and it should also be indicated at the end of each weapon's description which DLC it comes fromβwith so many weapons, I'm starting to get confused.

Iβve been hunting Cuatro mainly trying to get the grand slam I think is what the multi mount trophy is called with all diamonds. Hunting the ibexβs has been rather enjoyable and this is my first really grind in game so Iβm using this to kind of learn the set ups for grinds on a smaller scale

Honestly Iβve been collecting all the animals keeping my highest scoring of each fur/plumage of each species. Makes my trophy lodges look a little more full and if I find diamonds of those species Iβll replace them with my diamonds. I find it kind of cool to have serval fur colorations all next to each other I am also probably one of the only few people to collect females as well and all there colors but maybe when I get way more trophies like rares and great ones maybe Iβll have to re-evaluate that

I don't really do follow up shots, I Just shoot one, even if I'm using the arzyna .300 for non trophy animals I rarely take more than 1, it mostly depends on the animal tho

I love the muzzle loaders, I bough vurhonga and NEM yesterday, went on vurhonga with the caplock and inline muzzle loader + a 22 and the .470, I found some springbok, got into 100m, boom double lung insta kill

i thought about gettign the .375 for grinding great ones.. not a fast followup shot, but would rip a fallow in half so I don't have to chase it

the malmer is one of my favorite rifles mostly because of the class range 4-9

the specs are similar to the drilling rifle, and I used that a couple times on them, they drop quick

Any 4-8 or 4-9 rifle will drop a fallow (maybe not the .270 but there's a chance)

the malmer i think is a little more accurate and it does hold a total of 3 rounds so you can do follow ups if needed

havent used the 500 so idk but when i hunt them thats what i use
oh sorry with the 470 i use the ammo that has the 100 penetration
so maybe see if the 500 has a better penetrating round and try that see if you have some better luck

Yeah in real life the .500 is more powerful on paper
In the game the .470 still has the best penetration. The lack of a telescopic sight makes the .500 a more favorable option, especially being a 4 round magazine straight-pull action rather than a double barrel
