yes and no. it all depends on what your ATR is. if it is low then the game will tend to spawn higher lvl animals but you will have allot of low lvl animals if the ATR (Average Trophy Rating) is low

for whitetail? then yes you would want to leave the lvl 1s alone. doing this is basically how ppl heard manage for G1s. you dont technically need to cause you can get a G1 from shooting everything but if you want more diamonds you'll need to lower the ATR

on my grind, I think my mistake is I am trying to get too many zones covered by one tripod and I end up 200-250m from the targets, and I don't think I have a good rifle to put down fallow quickly without risking a bad shot and having them run

i might have to move my tripods closer, like 150m, and maybe not try to cover multiple zones with one if I cannot get that close to both. It might also be better to target zones separately from an angle that won't spook both groups simultaneously
