You need to find a tiger without it noticing you while it's drinking. Or as stated above spook it and then travel around the lake to find its group track to discover the zone.
Discovering the zone itself doesn't really matter mind you.
As tigers bounce to different lakes within their home range after you kill one.

They’re unspottable tho and have much more simplistic models so it’s pretty easy to tell the difference but they are annoying regardless
