That trick can be used to save a trophy, if you shoot it and its a bad shot but go back to the main menu before it dies, its health will reset and youll get another chance

Gotcha! But yea it just resets the health if it didn't die, so if you go back to its need zone it'll still be there. If it dies then the body will despawn when you go back to the main menu and something else will spawn in its place eventually

• If those changes to the white-tailed deer don’t appear in the game next Tuesday, along with the DLC, that means the summer map is set in North America.
• If this is true, the map will be set in the southern United States, since if there were moose on the map, they wouldn’t be adding new antlers now—they’d do that on the summer map.

Conclusion: if we don’t see the change to the white-tailed deer, the summer map will be set in California, Carolina, etc.

We used to do population resets pretty often in updates for species that got certain kinds of changes. This means basically all the animals of that species would get erased from the map and redistributed (so different size, gender, furs, etc.). We still do it sometimes, but we try to avoid it when possible since sometimes people have an animal they are "saving for later" on their map.

you can ! just don't forget to swap out if you spot a trophy. and you'll also be grinding in the dark most likely, you may not see a rare fur and botch it by accident

If I need quick money for like ammo restocks n whatnot, I'll drop things. But if im casual hunting, I'll use the right weapon. I keep all classes on me at all times. Never know what you'll come across when walking around

I usually bow hunt 85% of the time so my pressure stays low. But if I see a group, I always shoot the biggest. But if I’m roaming and hunting, I shoot everything.

i also use weapons that are slightly more powerful but still in their class range

for classes 2-3 i use a 2-6 rifle
for classes 4-6 i use a 4-8 rifle
for classes 7-9.. i use a 7-9 rifle

so they all all in range just often has a bit of extra power behind it which is grand
