I play on PS5, it might be a console thing.

Mine will find blood trails, but it seems like water, hillsides/rocky areas, and thick vegetation does him in. I can pass him while he's stopped and 'waiting on owner.." and he doesn't start moving again until I'm well past his position.

Sometimes he can dart back ahead of me, but most of the time I have the blood trail highlighted and just ignore him.

And if you fast travel to a tent that's not far enough away for the dog to auto travel with you... you're waiting for them to heel.

And it is very slow to get them to heel coming out of water and then start tracking.

They do! I use mine on PS5 without issues. It’s sucks it doesn’t work for some but they aren’t broken for everyone. I main a German pointer with the bloodhound as it’s secondary, it works amazingly
