Spring break is here and I wanted to see if anyone could reccomend me a map to buy to play this week off
I already have: Askiy ridge, revontuli, emerald coast, torr, and salz
I like: Small game, some big game, sometimes more aggressive animals, sort of open or super open space, decent animal selection (unique looking), cool animals (idk what that means, i guess like stuff like lions are cooler than some basic deer), animals that are fun to hunt.
things I don't care too much about: models(I don't care hiw good the model looks), great ones (while they are cool, I'm not always grinding, actually most of the time I'm running around blasting zones)

Well it's not exactly the newest map but you said you didn't care about models (they aren't even bad, just not as good as the new ones). I think the hate comes from the fact that it's the only Africa map and there's much open potential that they didn't put into the map. I definitely play and enjoy it tho

Can I vent a little?

I am getting very tired of this game in a few ways.

Every rifle are practically the same and it feels like the games does not want me to use the few unique weapons it offers.
There is no reason not to use the 7mm magnum rifles and a .243 rifle, plus a .22/shotgun for small game.
Furthermore the pump/semi shotguns is superior in every way and there no reason not to use them compared to the 2 barrelled ones.

This extents to the other gauge shotguns as well. Why would I ever use a 20g 2 barrelled shotgun that weights 4 (kilos? pounds?) when I can use a 6 shot 12g pump-gun that weights 3.5?
There is no balance in this system. I would like there to be some reason outside of aesthetics. It feels like the game is punishing me for trying to play in a fun or more interesting play style. It either becomes monotonous or frustrating.

The sad part is that there are some genuinely interesting weapons to play with as well. but they are butched completly.
The Mosin has a super unique 3-7 class cartridge, you could change your entire loadout on this. Yet there is no high penetration ammo for it. Seemingly forgotten about. The .45 air rifle is by far my favorite gun. It changes how you would hunt in almost the same way that hunting with a bow would. Could we have some more of that please, instead of another 4-8 class ~30 cal rifle?

I cant be only one frustrated with this. I love this game, but damn it is difficult to play it after a while.

Cow elk don't bugle and bull elk don't make mewing sounds. Both make a kind of barking sound as a warning signal. Just curious. Along with that, the way bullet penetration works in game is way off as well.

Leave small, shoot big, get bigger spawns, shoot, rinse repeat, exteriors, interiors, shooting down, solos, swapping males & females, etc. I just shoot all medium weight to max weight animals and things work out for me lol

When I did my Fallow "grind" I killed all medium / max weight animals and got a G1 in about 500 kills, so, yeah, kill 'em all!

Nah no way they’re going down that slowly with a 7mm lung shot, unless it got seriously nerfed. I rarely use it anymore but still. The Gemsbok are not nearly as tough as they should be.
