P2P uses Steamworks (Steam's library) on PC, that part isn't really attached to the engine. Multiplayer has been working really well for me, even in full lobbies. Are there are big known issues with multiplayer?

Crossplay wouldn't just be Steam. You have to keep in mind that consoles also use the peer to peer connection. Xbox specifically is terrible with peer-to-peer

Yup absolutely, and I've had worse experiences on Xbox crossplay as well (on other games). I was mostly curious if there were big multiplayer issues I maybe hadn't seen yet.

You can browse the support channel and see copious amounts of people complaining about Xbox multiplayer not working

Peer to peer itself opens up the potential for bugs that aren't easy to solve since there's no "safe/balance" point like live service games where things are equalized. It's why disconnections and such are so common.

And why peer to peer games are no where near as popular as they were 10 years ago lol
