Plus it's an old game with a somewhat outdated engine, pretty much the whole reason they stopped the Halloween events was because they'd have to patch 20GB or so for the event and after the event so people who just wanted to play still had to download a ton of data twice in a month

Considering the age of the game, and the size of the team, and their budget, I'd say it's highly unlikely we'd get an engine change. At best, we'd have to wait until either a remake/remaster, a new version for consoles or a brand new theHunter 2 or something
