If u want a fun alternative but not as much profit hunting geese are pretty good.
$600 to $800 the sheer number are pretty good. Plus if u can hunt ducks with them you’ll knock out two birds with one stone.
Ammo is also cheaper.
Kill 2 geese per flock that’s minimum $1200 and max $1600 plus anymore u get.

Herd management tactics are done around the result of the game's natural balancing mechanic to keep you from having all level 1s and all max levels on your map essentially. It keeps your population around a general average so nothing goes too far to one side.
