Not ignored. Bugs are taken care of in priority and complexity. Some are harder than others and when they are "fixed" create a bunch of other problematic bugs. This means it takes ages to fully fix some things that seem simple. In a game this old with this much content and built on an old engine... I imagine the bugs are horrendous sometimes when they attempt to fix things

It's a magical balance of both. New content is needed to keep players interested and continue supporting development but fixes and QoL stuff is equally important to keep the game strong. Finding that balance is a task all on its own haha. If you do read on the 8.4 update notes you'll see an absolute ton of old bugs that were resolved and fixed all at once. While there are definitely still plenty to clean up, imo it shows a really good plan moving forward when it comes to tackling the stragglers that have been causing trouble all these years.
