I think some wires got crossed here. You can taxi any animal in game and put them into your Layton lodge without any additional DLCs. The thing to note about Layton is that there are only 2-3 spots where you can put non-base game animals. So if you have a lion for example, the majority of the open spots in your lodge cannot be used for it. Steam also does not have an in game mic as far as I'm aware. Console does.

It does. If you are zeroed for 20m and the animal is say 60 away, the green dot is gonna be way lower. If you are zeroed for 60 the green do is gonna overlay with the red one

Leveling up your dog just means taking them out with you and having them perform tasks. Every successful task completion gives XP for them.

I firmly believe we will see roe deer great ones here before the summer map release, then Cali will give Blacktail Roosies & Coyote remodels allowing any of those too be picked for the next great one.

I’m starting my g1 mule deer grind on askey and I have 8 main zones with 2 shooters in in each what do I do if I have too many shooters on my map do I just shoot them until they are lower level bucks

okay so i got a problem with 2 of my grinds, both seem to be the same problem, my muley grind on askiy and my wolf grind on Yukon both barely respawn animals i killed, like on Yukon i got 2-3 wolf packs with only females or females + low level males i didn't kill, on askiy with the muleys i barely find big males in any of my zones, and only level 1-2's and maybeeee a level 3 or 4

anybody else has something similar?

i have no idea why they don't spawn, i checked zones on both grinds over and over again and didn't find any new spawns that weren't there before

If you had the map from before the update (Dec 9th), the scoring for them was adjusted so existing populations are not correct - the reason they are bugged/not legit diamonds. When you kill and harvest one, the respawn pulls the correct information and will be fine. New game functions the same way where it wipes the populations and resets them - ie pulls the info correctly when setting initials.

Fallow are an easier species to manage during herd management, but that has nothing to do with how long the g1 will take to spawn.

fallow is the species i’ve had my longest & shortest grind on, it’s completely random
