Actually - my logging system is set up to alert if you are inputting an animal of the same species, sex, and fur type that is higher in score and/or weight than what you already have taxied

There's a trophy lodge sheet where all your taxied harvests go (as long as you check them off) and it references against them

So you know if you should or shouldn't taxi at a quick glance on input

I think you got lucky with your first G1 so it kinda skewed your opinion to the fact that they must be easy to obtain since a relative newcomer (you lol) were able to get one so quick. The Scotland map is full of great easter eggs that the devs added either knowingly or by mistake. For example, the bagpipes in one of the houses bleed if you shoot them and stay damaged for quite a while. The whole map is so wonderfully done, you have to hand it to them!

I'm still trying to figure out exactly how the feeders work. Maybe you know? I will set a feeder in an area, reset the day, and usually get 1 herd in. Then, magically, after 4 or 5 rotations, there are suddenly dozens of deer on them. Is it like a caller, where there's a set % chance that a roaming herd, within it's radius, will move feed zones to it?

I've got one feeder with over 10 shooter bucks on it now.

It's a radius effect - I think 400m? Any animal that travels within that range when it has the right type of feed in it for them will "smell" it and come check it out during their next feed. Then its a chance rotation every following feed time on if they come to the feeder or go to their normal feed zone with the feeder being the higher chance.

Initial set up it can take a couple days to get all potential herds to discover it, but then its just part of their rotation

Okay, so you can make animals swap places by killing them without harvesting them. It's a simple process but requires a little bit of luck.

What you'll do, is scout the 4 lakes at the northwest and locate all of the bears there. do not shoot them. Once you do, locate the females, and keep track of where they are.

Then, simply go to another lake outside of the 4 primary lakes you're hunting, and find a male bear. If you want to HM, find a level 6 or better bear. If you only care about G1, any male will do.

Once you locate it, shoot the male, but do not harvest it. Then travel to one of your females, shoot her, and do not harvest it. do not shoot any other bears during this time.

Reset the map, and those two bears will respawn, with a 50/50 chance that they swap places.

You can actually do this with members of herds too; I've got some all-female and all-male whitetail herds doing this.
