The way I treat 2s (at least in regards to my boar since that's my only grind right now) I leave them alone unless my shooter count drops to the point I have issues getting respawns in time

When that happens, I pick a cutoff point for their highest possible trophy score and kill everything above that point.

For culling larger game I typically just brain with the .22lr, but you can kill with the .45 air as well. I've accidentally killed many a mule deer by forgetting it was a class 5 lol.

Air Rifle is a weird caliber. Round Nose for class 2, HP for class 4.

Round Nose is better for Class 2 because it actually rips right through them, through and through. It's not ideal for class 4s because it doesn't have the penetration at range, so HP makes up for it.

Round Nose .45 Air on a fox might as well be .7mm polymers.

After looking at the stats though I think the 308s less recoil, 1 extra bullet and higher accuracy and it being a semi makes up for the 1 loss in penetration assuming the wiki stats are current. So yeah for sure seems fantastic still.

You CAN drop fox instantly with HP on good broadsides, because you can obliterate all of the organs on one side of their body with good shot placement, but Round Nose is much more consistent.

I swap on the fly though. I like utilizing the different ammunition types to minmax my hunt.

You can technically Alarm without making them flee, if you're very careful about spooking. You can also safely shoot animals with silent weapons at long range, while they are alert or attentive, without spooking. But it takes some timing because stages of alertness aren't static, but dynamic. In other words, a duck could be barely Alert or so Alert it's on the verge of Alarmed.

You can technically heart shot from broadside with no risk too, you get the lungs either way.

Front shots are at least in real life not considered clean shots.

Because of the risk of wounding, same with spine and neck shots.

Go to the shooting range, slow down ur video, find the fps, convert to m/s

It doesn't have to be advanced. You just have to find a breakpoint of which m/s doesn't have to lead even at 300m and calculate off that.

I do leading shots quite often in my boar grind if there are too many a zone. After 3, I often have to take a leading shot at the 4th as it runs
