Not comparable at all. It can't make front shots beyond 150m reliably, and it can't reliably break class 4 bones outside of 75m or so. It demands good shot placement. It's actual damage output is solid though, with Hollow-Points it's about twice as powerful as the .243's polymer rounds

Yeah so there's a sort of gradient for spooking, one may stay Alert longer than others, and if that one spooks, the others often leave with it.

Both great. The Defender is just a lightweight Virant. Take it to the range, learn it's drops and it can reach 350m targets just like the Virant or Zarza.

30-06 is good but I don't have enough experience with it yet to recommend it. I like it's knockdown though. It may hold up better at long range than the .7mm.

I'm thinking for Salzweisen park having both virant + the pistol in 22 lr is very good

coz salzweisen is just small game, so a shotgun and 2x .22lr

But then again, any shot you can take with a pistol, you'd take better with virant

To track an animal to their herd

So I have an idea, maybe find nocturnal animals to setup (idk if there's any)

that have need zones at night or rest or whatever

Then shoot any of that species with tracer arrow, then easily track a bright red light through night to their herd

since they ultimately get to their zones and herds afaik.

That's something i wanted to try for quite a while.

But idk if it works like that.

Like especially useful if you know there are many more zones u havent found but can't find otherwise

Tracers are mostly what I use. They are fantastic for wind adjustment. You can send one out and clearly see how it is affected by wind and elevation.

Sadly your idea won't work because the bolts are so powerful, nothing will survive a shot long enough, even as a bad flesh shot. Even if you use low weight bolts they will penetrate and kill high class animals. I nicked a bear's whisker and it died.

We know some things. The host is whos map it is - so that's the map that gets the need zones and hunting pressure and its their population you are hunting. Things like outposts and POIs are personal progression based so if you have unlocked them, you will always have them. I don't know exactly how the host transfer works outside of if the new host doesn't have the map, it'll close the server after X time (I think 15 minutes?)

Not hard to make but it’s a hell of a lot to pay to shoot an animal, over here we don’t really have public land for hunting but you can try and get permission to shoot someone’s land and then you don’t need tags to shoot deer
