Mongel, if you want anything classes 6-9 or 5-9, best bet is the 10ga slug, .454, or 45.70 for penetration but the best for range is the 7mm or if you want high power but no class 9 go for the .308 or even the 30-06

Particularly across multiple channels too , you’ll earn yourself a mute swiftly

Other than the Grelck Drilling rifle, which is a class 5-9, you're pretty much stuck with 4-9s.

Of the 4-9s, the .454 handgun round is pretty devastating at short range.

The .577/450 is also powerful, but the Gandhare is a single shot rifle and demands accuracy. Incredibly powerful though.

The last perk can cut a ton of tracking off long ones where shots aren't great. Also helps when you down multiple in tall grass or reeds and can't see the bodies for shii

If you have all the skills you need unlocked at level 60 as well tracking is significantly easier , early game you’re pretty blind

Shotties tap out at 75m and are really only reliable at 50m or so. If you want to visually see how you're missing, try the Tracer perk to turn your shots into Tracer rounds, and you can actually see the shots in action and get a feel for their speed.

I tend to hunt at extreme range, which means I hunt multiple directions at once. Sometimes I shoot animals that are all 300-400m from me, and 800m from each other. By the time I get to some of them I can't find the blood trail, but Cletus always does.

yeah, IRL would be the second fastest/flatting shooting rifle by a good margin, second only to the .22-250 by a couple hundred FPS.

This is the result I get with the .22-250; 7/8 ring on 300m target with 150m zero, aiming for bullseye. IRL, .22 Hornet should provide very similar results

the only thing is, .22 H IRL loses stability and drops hard/tumbles at 200m but it's completely flat up until that point

I didn't think they possibly would have modeled that though

that's actually really, really cool then, I guess the devs just replicated actual .22 hornet ballistics where it's flat and then falls out of the sky/tumbles

regardless you never shoot geese closer than 100-150 so it still may be a really good goose gun, provided it's actually really fast to 200m and then slows down heavily

I just never in a million years expected they'd fully, properly model the trajectory of the .22 hornet lol so the 300m, 150m zero results confused me a ton

what ive seemed to note if i shoot a deer thats 200m away with 300m zeroin i have to aim more below where i want to shoot cause it seems like the bullet goes up

If zeroing to 300m its shot more up. But seroing from 75-150m and u shoot from 50-200m its still hit in red on shooting range. And in my case i shoot about 45m away with zeroing 75m and its dont hit at all
