the best part is both tiger salamanders and garters are becoming even more poisonous
because theyre in an endless evolutionary arms race
where the salamander becomes more poisonous
Not to mention that 10 out of 10 bears will have tapeworms and all kinds of parasites that will ruin your life if consumed.
Wonder how languages that don’t differentiate the two convey that
to be fair, it is as long as you arent an irresponsible idiot who tries to cook predator meat rare or medium
theyre uses in stews for a reason theyre supposed to be fully cooked through to well to kill everything
All bears contain tapewors and parasites, 10 out of 10 times though.
Like, ive not seen a single bear NOT contain these.
It's not like "rarity' as with venison and CWD
bears in areas with landfills and by people do specifically, its a much worse issue in much of Europe compared to the US
in the US you dont really find tapeworms in truly wild bears that arent by cities/towns
unless theres a nearby illegal dump site
I'm pretty sure the semantics really only matters in conversation, in an actual 'we need to eat, can we eat this one' situation it would probably be less of an issue. I personally loathe the whole "venom isn't poison" rhetoric of the west because it isn't true, anyhow.
Interesting, one would think considering how urbanized and capitalistic America is, that it would not be the case.
I still wouldn't eat bear meat though, but i'm the guy who wouldn't eat wild boars either.
So, i'm the odd one either way.
Boars for trophies only.
it helps that the lower 48 alone is sightly large by land area than all of europe west of the Dneiper River
Donate rest.
yellow.
The Rocky Mountains and western deserts aren’t exactly very hospitable for cities
also this, most of our wildlands where hunting is done is in areas where the human population is smaller
most bear hunting is out west
Believe it or not, despite how industrialist the US is, they're one of the greenest countries on the planet, per capita.
Which isn't saying much, people are gross.
and the most populous state of the mountain west and southwest i think is new mexico with like
8.5 million people
followed by AZ and Co each with like 7 and 5 million people
and then utah, the dakotas, wyoming, montana, and idaho plus nevada all have significantly less
We're a country of less than one million total and all our bears have tapeworms for some reason, even the ones in the highest mountains where even wolves are scared to take a sh*t somehow.
But our territory is also very small, so that could be it.
it likely has to do with waste processing laws
if illegal dumping of random trash and sewage waste isnt really restricted at all
or isnt punished when done
then that does cause that
we had similar tapeworm issues in US bears before the clean water act set standards for sewage dumping/treatment
Yeah having a small territory makes it harder to deal with waste, but come on, we're only 700k total pop.
was in the late 1960s iirc
But balkan people are gross when it comes about ecology.
What do you expect from people who drive with a phone in one hand, smoke a cig in another, and shift with a leg all at the same time.
purple.
That and bears can travel far quick, I could see how a small condensed country would allow bears to run into people and their trash far more easily.
Luckily one of our national parks are very diverse and vast, probably one of the best ones in this region honestly. The animals there are uncontaminated
Should I prioritize penetration over expansion or vice-versa?
Balkanic hate will not be tolarated
But obviously, can't hunt on national wildlife parks.
pen, does more damage
Gotchu tyty
hes not wrong, he's also from the balkans so lol
well I'm from Romania and it's pretty clean in my city
Confirmative bias, you guys have gypsies (joke of course) 🙂
i lowkey dont know if you can say that
Why not? That's their official name (the roma people-gypsy)
Not an insult where i'm from lol.
Like, that's in their ID lol.
in some places it's considered an ethnic slur but i understand you didn't mean it that way, just letting you know
most people in here i assume are from the US or UK where it is often seen as a slur
Yeah it's like a half-okay half-terrible thing to say depending on where you're at and who you are talking to
And if you use the "safe" term where the other is bad it's the reverse oftentimes 😅
sorta like that british term for cigarette
means different things at different places
in the USA we have a term referring to that word that means getting ripped off or cheated, it’s definitely got derogatory connotations
you can also just say romani to avoid further confusion
Anyways, I might want to buy a new hunting rifle, but unsure what I could do, maybe a .308 win
we have banned people for using it given that in english speaking parts of Europe as well as the US, Canada, and Mexico the old name has become a slur
so now it is Romani/Roma
im not gonna whack you for that cause its not abundantly obvious and there's obviously no intended malicious use of it in your case but just dont use it in the future; only saw Roma/Romani going forward in this server
@azure crag Would you want to check out a store in our country (website) and check if there's something you like in there?
I genuinely don't know much past the usual calibers and almost exclusively 7.62 as thats what we used when I was younger lol. Just as an advice I mean.
But I do remember you said you aren't really versed in rifles IRL, so I digress..
@nimble sequoia how versed are you in guns irl except 7.62 ones
🤔
for hunting i mean
i have lots of lore and a reasonable amount of shooting experience
i may have answers to you questions so feel free to ask
I don't know how IRL calibers work for hunting except 7.62 (ethicality and behaviour against animals) but ive done sports shooting only (shooting range on a paper target)
So I was thinking of getting a hunting rifle that could be versatile but not sure what those calibers would be (lets say for as many game as possible but except birds or waterfowl)
I could link you the website if you'd care to check and tell me what would fit that.
I assume something like .243 reasonably would cover a lot of animals IRL, but not sure. There's a few of those in store.
I do already have 9mms and had 7.62s although not for hunting, so that's most i know.
with the bullet weights available i've know .243 winchester to cover everything from coyotes (sometimes foxes) up through moose and bear
its a nice flat shooting cartridge with a range of loadings for different uses that is actually quite powerful IRL
Care to check the site and tell me what would you pick as the most versatile option in your preference?
sure, you got a link for the site?
im mostly familiar with american ammo brands but i can stretch my experience a bit with european options
A few.
But they are in our language so you might need to right click > translate to english in your browser
(1) https://www.duplet.me/me/oprema/
(2) https://ceskazbrojovka.me
(3) https://arsenalshop.me
There's probably some I am missing too, but this should be enough really.
Price isn't an issue, just what would be the most versatile (although if i wanted to cover waterfowl and birds I assume i'd need the 12gas or something similar too)
But then again, you could use shotguns and then do buck or other ammo, so no clue if that's more versatile, but lacks range (from my experience in sports shooting)
If you have issues navigating to the weaponry headers let me know.
im just waiting for my slow ass internet to actually translate the pages
Lol, it shouldn't take long even with ADSL internet, maybe it's just that our websites are that slow, loads fast for me though I didn't translate.
no its because local internet traffic is high for me
This one particularly seems to be chambered in 243 and 308 winchester
all the angsty children are on winter break rn
But I never tested those calibers, much less in hunting except 7.62 and 9mm
so theyre all using the goddamn internet space on thousands of gigabytes of streaming data
i saw that one it's a solid looking rifle; both cartridges are quite versatile but .243 has more room for smaller game animals
Well I gave u like 3 links, all of them have like 100+ rifles total at least, so lots of options to choose from.
Whatever you think would seem reasonable for versatility.
Id have to practice with it eitherway. Honestly if it was just up to me i'd get a 7.62 and call it a day. But I guess that's a bit unethical for smaller game.
honestly, any of these bolt actions in .243 or 6.5x55
for the most versatility
what about the win30-xx ones?
or 7mms
theyre more powerful but more likely to like, completely annihilate a smaller animal
really these are all good guns and great cartridges with fantastic options
its down to what you think youll be hunting
what is the smallest thing youd think youd shoot with a rifle?
A fox.
Rabbits and similar would probably require way smaller calibers.
yeah, .22s or .17 cal pellet rifles/pistols
But i'm definitely not buying multiple guns just to cover more honestly, just to switch from sports shooting to hunting a bit
hmmmmm
honestly, if you wanna have a happy medium that can kinda just, do whatever the hell you want it to but have enough power to wallop something on the larger side
.308's your best go
I can recommend any of the Sellier & Bellot ammo thats available that you can find, especially softpoints that are 150 to 180 grains
Well check if there's anything specifically decent from the links, and screenshot me or give me a link to the weaponry if you want
Just talking about calibers alone wouldn't suit it I guess. Different brands and ergos too.
Lots of Berettas, benellis, and CZs
Oooh sure
Nice, here's the links:
@azure crag
I know CZ rifles tend to be good, although my expertise with european rifle companies is limited
Right click > translate
Yeah we dont have many USA brands here for some reason, so u'd have to just choose whatever is available on the links, and see if there's anything you'd snatch for urself
Then i'll try and research from there
We have Bergaras too
Steyr also.
this CZ 600 is nice but it's only in 223
I can tell you right now if you want to maximize versatility, a shotgun is the way to go. Shells are much easier to change than any AR platform, and you'll be able to tackle a wide variety of game. Get one with rails for a simple scope and you're golden. Unlike in the game, a shotgun is terrifying work no matter what you're targeting, as long as you remember which shell you loaded.
I can't tell you much about rifle calibers but I can tell you that much for certain.
Yeah though that CZ store has only CZ, have u checked other non CZ stores from links?
am searching around
Well there are 12gauges, quite a lot on these links
However, Ive not shot 12gas irl, only 7.62 and 9mms and similar for sport (comp shooting)
There are slugs, buckshots, birdshots, so that's versatile, but I reckon the range isn't that good either way.
12ga is reliable and ammo is readily available. I've got a 12ga KS7 and it's never thirsty.
Not true. Again unlike games, real life shotguns have terrifying power even at range. With a choke and a full length barrel you can put a grapefruit sized hole in a target with buckshot at 50m.
Yes, but getting to the game within 50m is tricky still, atleast I believe so.
Looking for somebody to play with I'm new
We always shot wild boars with 7.62 from quite some range.
slugs will go like 75m
but after that its drop city
https://www.duplet.me/me/detalji/314/#arc_title
This Browning A-Bolt is in several calibers that are nice and would work great for boar hunting; personally I would pick this one up
Slugs can be accurate at long range but you need a Slug Gun specifically. It's a shotgun with a rifled barrel designed specifically for marksman antics with slugs.
would personally pick .243 Win given your want of versatility + power
Nice, thanks.
But wouldn't i need to choose into one caliber only, or its a interchangeable barrel?
Yo can somebody help me on my tier where I'm at I just need all of the Outpost
as far as I can see one caliber only, but I'd choose .243 Winchester
Oh and I need to do the tent glitch
and then go buy some 90gr and 100gr Sellier & Bellot softpoints
nice
But idk how good it is
Browning A-Bolts are quite beloved here in the states
What map?
theyre usually sold in .30-06 and .243
what tent glitch?
He wants to stack tents to not pay for them.
if you mean duplicating them/getting more than 16 down on the map that's an exploit
I think he means placing tents to travel to and unlock outposts.
Not for having 16+ only
hmmmmm
OH that's a thing?
Yeah nah I'm not participating in that hokey.
Sadly ammo is limited here so I dont think i can get specific grains or brands
But I will try to find quality ones for sure.
Since we don't import that much given we are a small country, and if so, it'd be mostly european stuff.
Anything that's not Turkish.
No offense if you're turkish.
Truer words have never been spoken, kekw.
Yo can somebody just help me on TIA Aurora
Bro scroll up
So, u checked?
Sellier & Bellot is in Czechia they should be able to either ship to you or have it stocked in local stores around you wherever they may be
https://www.sellier-bellot.cz/en/products/rifle-ammunition/rifle-ammunition-sp/detail/175/
So far Honse gave me https://www.duplet.me/me/detalji/314/#arc_title this Browning
here's one of their .243 listings
I'm just curious if i do happen to get across a larger game like big buck, .243 irl can realiably double lung and not have animal flee too much right?
I'm still set on the slug gun recommendation. Get a shotgun with a rifled barrel (slug gun) and you can use slugs at 200m.
What DLCs should I buy as a new player
yes, i've actually seen it drop 800lb elk dead on the spot at 300 meters
with good ammo it hits like hammer despite having a smaller bullet diameter
Bloodhound is the only DLC I really recommend as a must have for PS5, since we get ATVs at default. Everything else is mostly up to taste or kind of useless until you figure out what you're doing.
Fair enough, thanks, whajt about what Negative said? To opt for a 12ga or similar and just rotate ammo accordingly
The shotty would also allow me to do waterfowl and birds, though im certain i wont be doing that in a while either way
I was thinking of the m1 grand getting most of the maps in getting like a lot of the bullet things cuz like I can spend like $100
uh guys, i found a level 4 stubble quail. im not sure what happened made dime by 80 😭
depends on the range you're hunting at, but honestly for overall best versatility having a good rifle plus a shotgun lets you cover all the things you want to hunt
i'd say buy a rifle with intent of big/medium game now and consider a shotgun later when you want to do duck/goose/rabbit/dove
yeah theyre broken
The M1 is cute but not really a rifle I'd recommend, personally. Some folks love it though. When it comes to gun choices that's all up to preference. When it comes to other stuff, like Feeders, Tripods, and the E-Caller (Ambusher) DLCs, they're all pretty widely considered worthwhile.
so its not really a real dime?
Makes sense, I see that there are some .270 too
That feels like it can be ethical for a fox but better for mid+ game
no its buggy and wonky
.270 is also a fantastic cartridge
ah okay
its actually .30-06 necked down to a .27 caliber lmao
The issue is i dont know how .30-06 is either even though I know its a popular hunting caliber
Since i never hunted with any caliber except 9mm and 7.62 (mostly sports shooting still)
And then what's the best way to find all my Outpost onto Aurora
the m1 is cute and i i love it but i agree that more functional "feature" packs are better to get first
so no behaviour shown on actual animals.
12ga slug guns can field sabo rounds that send 300-500 grain rounds downfield, accurately, at 1500+FPS. Modern shotgun tech is wild.
big case, heavy bullets, can hit like a truck or a train depending on what loads you use
Im new here, hello!
The 30-06 is the southern American redneck's God Round. Shoots flat, shoots far, never fails. Kicks like a mule.
how about a balkan redneck?
Whatever falls off the truck
The issue is most shotties I see on these 3 links don't even have a rail for scope.
i think hes referring to a duplication glitch on console that involves the beaver fell a tree on your tent message. theres certain spots on maps that you can place any structure at in another players lobby that gives this message and dupes the structure every time you place it there
So not sure how smart it is to use slugs scopeless.
pretty sure its un patch able
i paid for all my structures like a real savage and then found out about it lol apparently its a “big” thing on console
can anyone vc real quick got questions about my boar grind
console bros gotta take what exploits they can get
Money is too easy to come by to entertain that kinda crap
exactly
but people are lazy, its the easy way out lol
The other site has sellier & bellot but for 7mm mostly
i got like 15 grinds setup so money is no worry around here 😂
i wish i could send cotw-bucks to people cause i have more than i can spend
It's good ammo, i use their .303 ammunition in my Lee Enfield
The only thing im curious is why Negative suggested a shotty for versatility if most shottys dont even have a rail to mount a scope lol
he did say he can't say much for rifle calibers so my guess is he has mostly or all experience with shotguns
oh because they have the ability to swap out loads for any hunting situation
that and many of them are drilled and tapped
so you have to mount a rail on the reciever
oh but he did say that thing about 30-06
Yeah i mean i gave him 3 links, if he can find any shoty he thinks is good, id try and test both the rifle Honse gave and Negative shotty gave.
and then the scope on the rail
And see what I like more.
i know he is a southern boy
Is that the standard for shottys? to be predrilled but don't come with a rail?
Very different to the 9mm handguns im used to in sports.
for most yeah
all the semi autos ive ever held are like that
Yeah, shotguns traditionally are shot iron-sights. It's considered pretty fancy to scope 'em.
the pump actions occasionally
Makes sense.
Well, let's see what Negative suggests from shottys from these 3 links.
Appreciate it lads.
I tried checking the links but on my phone there is no translate option, even on the desktop version.
My personal shotguns are Mossbergs and Kel-Tecs. Any semi-auto or pump will do the job, but if you want to hunt with slugs at long range, you need a rifled barrel, aka a Slug Gun. Slug guns specifically use Sabot rounds.
Mossberg is a reliable name and I doubt they produce anything that's not gold. I even have a 9mm mossberg handgun. 😆
Ah, well if you care to, i can help you navigate to the weaponry tab, it's one click away, lol.
As for Mossberg, none in my area.
I assume it's not european brand
So that's maybe why.
mossberg is american yea
Remember, we're a country that is 3rd or 4th in the world per capita in gun ownership but we still don't have American brands for some reason.
Sadly that's what I'm familiar with. I can't help you with other shotgun brands except Kel-Tec, but their gear is typically more tactical/home defense than practical hunting.
🦅
Well if you know Benelli, Beretta, Steyr..Bergara
There are some on the sites I mentioned, so..
With few exceptions, we prefer european firearms anyhow. Don't tell the other rednecks I said that though.
Yeah but not for shotguns. Shotguns are Mossbergs or your grandpa's Remington down here.
Benellis are for rich bird doggers.
I'm not insisting you need a shotgun BTW, if you want a gun for each occasion that's just as good, as long as you have the space and your wife doesn't nag you about it.
Well no wife here so peaceful life for now 🙂
But yeah not keep on buying multiple guns really. I already had a few, and getting rid too.
Enough of sports shooting so time to try ethical hunting.
I guess it'll be some .243 in the end.
I've never heard anyone speak ill of .243.
So i guess i'd have to avoid some of these with .243 lol.
good lord
These wild boars grow this big coz of all the uranium after war bombing, probably. (/s)
I'm gonna blow your mind here, but a .243 can still drop one of those beefy boys.
Tha mi fon uisge, cuidich mi, mas e do thoil e.
Anyone tried stacking great ones of the same species before?
It can be done.
i know people have but im not sure it has much of an effect
fyi we cant post dead animals outside of #🥩︴irl-hunting due to Discord's terms of service
Oh sorry, I will delete then
I thought only gore isnt allowed.
What effect does it do to the species?
The effect is having a bunch of G1s to hunt all at once for a video. That's about the only reason to do it.
None at all.
yeah what he said
it would be if it were up to us but it's Discord's policy overall
Some of my animals aren't spawning/going to need zones anymore
Ah i reckon because u set up tje other channel to be nsfw and 18+?
Wouldnt doing the same to gen solve it too
correct; we had to go by Discord's policies
I find them on my rest zones now 😂
im sure they're respawned somewhere in a different zone
Go somewhere else on the map and murder.
A bit of genocide always does the trick.
oh and btw I'm confirmed still on the lest for that guided pronghorn hunt this year
They didn't spawn somewhere, they just decided to drink near their rest zones
Damn.
I found 2 herds doing that somehow
ive even seen .243 drop elk close to twice the weight of those larger pigs
when you drop it right into the boiler room and puncture both lungs it has a tendency of demolishing what youre aiming at
W
when you goin?
I'm murdering small game then tried to move time. Another herd decided it was done with the zone(didn't even shoot anything from there on the last rotation they showed up).
this fall
gonna do the primary draw in April
good luck to you
pronghorn are lowkey the dopest ever
you'll have to report back how they taste
Don't forget to bring your Vasquez Cyclone. 45 Air Rifle! Perfect for Pronghorn.
😭
i shall
pronghorn back to class 4🤞
yes
hes right
Well, if they do move to class 4 the Cyclone can still take 'em. Never enough class 1-3 though. Gimme squirrels and opossums.
And a .38 air rifle to shoot em. 😆
lowkeyy
i'd get more use out of a 1-3 air rifle than 2-4
Even just 1-2, as long as it's more reliable for class 2 than the .22h or .22mag at 300m.
mink would be fun with that, even though i absolutely dread using anything but the shotgun on them
Where are the mink?
I'm dialed in on the Marten. Time to up the difficulty.
around the watery areas on torr nan. ive seen them mostly around the big lochs/rivers in the southern area but i've seen a couple up north as well
apparently they swim around when they feed, that's probably your best bet on getting a long shot on them because they're otherwise hiding in very dense foliage
oh and they feed at night. good luck 🤣
ironsights 200+
So I line these shots up by spotting them within 100m or so with the binoculars, placing a way point, and then moving 300-400m out to snipe them, because class 1 animals can't be tagged with the binoculars at 300-400m. They're too small to register. 😆
A lot of the shots I make I can't actually see the animal because of foliage.
this is why i used to take the 16x scope with sight spotting
yeah im not 100% sure how that works on a moving target
youve got your work cut out for you
that being said i would love to see some crazy ass shots on mink in the water
Moving targets typically get the "keep it under 200m" treatment.
I'm not good enough (yet) to make 400m shots on class 1 animals in motion. Except that Pheasant headshot. But it was a pheasant. They're not exactly fast.
the longest shots i take on class 1 are about 65m so i wouldn't beat yourself up about it
Water on lower half of the map or thereabouts
they make some funny sounds
growlingstomachsoundeffect.mp4
u need to get ur stomach checked out zach
nah im built different
mine dont sound like that
you when youre hungry https://youtube.com/shorts/nbSqX3vxCm8?si=SEe0PraoyCrh29hb
A mink I trapped that had been killing chickens, he was relocated
Yooo
why is it so loud lmao
i dont know it lowkey scared me
how does so much noise come from such a small animal
Small animals are always louder than massive animals
gotta defend themselves somehow
mf birds be like
Is voice chat a thing chatgpt said yes but im kinda starting to learn not to listen to it after it told me best gun for lions was a 22lr
no voice chat is not a thing
i would be inclined to agree with you about disregarding it entirely
Ah woulda been cool for multi coulda even had it scare animals and stuff
If your too loud
never use ai for this game lmao
Good tip
it's wrong about literally everything lmao
there's an app, CotW Companion, and a wiki
Is it on pc or can i get it on my phone aswell
only phone i think
The app is called COTW companion
mine is called cotw companion
Oh
are you android or ios?
I see it now
Ios
Unfortunately I didn't find any other diamonds but I've had a couple of close ones
Thats sick tysm both of you
was just wondering if maybe you couldnt see it cause you were on android or somethin but you figured it out
How many diamonds does one usually find in a day
.02
Yea it was just weirdly low on the search
less than 1
Oh so they're not as common as I thought
Yeh same, I've been playing for do long and I only started pulling golds like a year ago
I got da strats fr
I did find a Fabled but I lost track of it
I’m back
i'd probably get more if i just hopped from lake to lake but thats boring
Omg hi we missed you
You don't like hunting at lakes?
sometimes, usually not though
it's good for visibility but i don't use rifles as much anymore so it's actually harder for me to get a good shot across the water lmao
i prefer a clearing
Oh, what do you usually go with?
Yeah same
bows, shotguns lately
i really love the longbow
shotgun is because i've been shooting a lot of birds but since i don't have a rifle with me i've been using the slugs for bears and goats too
Yeah I did start using the bow last time but I guess I left it in my storage so I went on a rifle rampage
Just bought the scotland map. What animals can I expect and class?
yo why cant i join any vc's
- To unlock the ability to post pictures, react, join a voice chat, and use the forums you've gotta talk A LITTLE BIT.
- To unlock the ability to embed, screenshare, change your nickname, and use gifs you've gotta talk A LOT.
- To unlock the ability to use external emoji and stickers, you've gotta talk SO MUCH.
The highest class is only 6. Birds mostly and very small animals
lots of class 1s, grouse, woodcock, mustelids. four types of deer, boar, goats, fox and badgers.
do you guys think the layton lake lodge or the spring creek manor is better
spring creek
What the Mallard is a mustelid?
animal group that badgers, weasels, mink, marten, wolverine are grouped into
So I'm thinking 1, 2, 4, 5, and maybe 6?
?
BNy the way, I'm real into the VA on the map. God, I love the accent.
oh for the classes?
Yes please.
mink and marten are class 1, badgers are class 2.
you can see them all on the wiki though
Anyone on PS5 want to do a western themed hunt figured it be fun?
So just massacre all males without causing a dead zone best way for g1
Those are what I shot down first there either level 2 or low threes
Check the codex and it’ll tell u everything
I just hit the castle as my first fast travel. I saw the washing machine and I was, "Oh my god! People are living here right now." And the lit candles? Is it wierd I actually feel obligated to close every door I open?
Is all the artwork original by the game studio?
Anyone else love hunting reindeer for no reason and think it should be the next g1 lol
I’ve asked before, but anyone know the actual difference between 20/16/12/10 gauges, specifically regarding birdshot performance?
Do they have different chokes/spread or something? Why would I ever opt for a 20g over a 12 or 10
No clue. I'm still using the revolver with .410.
Oh for real? I know that one has a very tight spread comparatively. What kinda performance have you gotten from it with .410?
It's been a while since I've logged in, but you do want to be pretty close with the birdshot. I haven't really messed with the buckshot shells since they released.
But I do know the community will tell you to stick with the .22 LR or even the .22 magnum.
I don’t think it can even chamber buckshot, it’s just birdshot I’m pretty sure
Can I have a diamond or great one
Man, I don't even wanna hunt anymore. I just want to pick up one of these books and just hang out by some of these candles. The dev team did an excellent job.
This scottish castle feels like a home.
No
Rule #9.
IRL it has no problem chambering buckshot and slugs and I’m kinda confused why it’s not allowed to when we get them free with the DLC
10 gauge is the biggest, 20 is the smallest.
It's my understanding that rifled barrels have issues with buckshot. Whether that's true or not, I don't know. Although I am kind of disappointed that it's 2-3.
Cotw sizes are broken tho so it don’t matter
I think he's askin gperformance wise.
Isn't it also the amount of pellets inside the shell?
IRL yeah, but I don't think the devs think that far ahead. or it's a game engine issue.
IRL the Taurus Judge has a rifled barrel, albeit really shallow
It actually performs far better with buckshot than birdshot, but it’s actually got just terrible accuracy with all .410 shotshells as well as .45 Colt and .454 Casull, which is all the ammo it can chamber. It might have better accuracy with .410 slugs than .45/.454 but it’s hard to say
It’s a really bad gun.
Ahh mk, I have noticed slight pattern difference on the hirsh shooting range and some carry a bit farther but nothing major.
Little difference but for some reason 10ga is worse than everything else
It struggles at ranges that others don't
I have a personal issue with 7.62x39 being used as a hunting rifle. Now, I've never gone hunting, but I never fifgured that kind of round would be used.
Been broken like that since salzwiesen
worse?
I guess that .410 is probably worse too, right, it certainly seems to be
Forgot about .410. .410 is worse yeah
Is there a way to report it?
I've reported it and many others have too
My favorite right now is the 12 gauge. I down like 3-6 geese at a time at 50-75 yards out. (On the ground )
Iirc they said they fixed it but the problem is still there
In terms of slug usefulness I am on the fence as to whether or not 12ga is better than 10ga (assuming 10ga doesn’t inhered the damage falloff issue the birdshot has)
20ga also seems weaker but it's also 20ga so it actually might just be weaker on purpose. Not as bad as 10ga though
I'd love to see a .22 magnum revolver.
16 ga slug is actually atrocious
10ga slugs are pretty decent on class 6-8 but struggles on 9 in my experience
12ga is okay on 4-5, it works at the least
I only ever use shotguns for class 1 icl
12ga is my baby for birdshot tho
16 is a bastard gun unfortunately. Any thoughts on its performance?
I like the Drilling. I use 16 buckshot mostly, though the 9.7 is a good deer round.
It's good for birdshot but that's it
It’s a very unrealistic portrayal of buckshot tbh
12 gauge 00 buck is a classic hog gun caliber, it’s a point and shoot and works well up to 50 yards
I guess I can see why it would be suboptimal for trophy hunting but it’s still the most powerful loading many shotguns have
I swear birdshot is better than buckshot sometimes
Hey so I’m getting back into CoTW and got a question. This new great one what’s the best way to do it
I shot a raccoon dog point blank at 5m with 10ga birdshot and it didn't even get to a lung
you use buckshot?
Yeah. The Drilling is a heavy rifle, so I just take it and all its compatible ammo. I use mostly buckshot though for the 2-4.
how close do you have to be for it to work?
Meh. Call it 50m or around there. PObviously, closer the better.
Do you ever get trophies??
I'm not a trophy kind of guy. Maybe someone else can hlp you with that.
i have only terrible experiences with buckshot, 20g on a whitetail no vital. i dont remember which gague though, probably 12
yeah i was wondering about that lmao
im more curious wether you pass all 4 checks using buckshot.
Buckshot in general just sucks. If your going for trophies, use a rifle or if it's a bird, use birdshot or .22, either the LR or Magnum.
I meant do you ever pass the harvest check
I don’t really see a benefit of the magnum over the .22 hornet
alright i figured
I honestly don't remember. It's been a while. After I get this cabin, I'll try a Hershey run and let you know.
Honestly considering the weight of both the .22-250 and the .22 pistol I’m not sure taking the magnum or the hornet makes sense.
It’s 2.5 pounds for a 1-2 vs 3 pounds for a very capable 1-4
Do I even wanna grind the magpie goose for albino for my albino croc well not albino seem like pieball is the whitest one since albino is not a thing I think for it
Anyone know how bad that struggle is
I only use the shotgun to kill flying birds or multiple birds with one shot, other than that I use the .22 especially for farther shots
The .22-250 is very capable of blasting birds out of the air, it’s an absurdly fast cartridge, but it doesn’t pass harvest check.
.22 hornet passes harvest check but I don’t own mississippi and haven’t gotten a chance to try it.
IRL, it would be the fastest cartridge behind the .22-250
yeah I feel Mississippi isn't worth it but idk I'm good with the maps I have
.22mag is a good option too
why 🥺
I feel like it can’t possibly be as fast as the hornet and I would assume it has a terribly slow reload, comparatively
Why I say Mississippi isn't worth it?
You get the black and darker colored foxes though. It's good for trophies.
It's good for making pot shots on flying geese hundreds of meters away but that's it really
.22 hornet or magnum?
I just use the .22lr instead, especially since it's consistent with its bullet drop and the mil dots
Mag
are you talking about gray fox?
yea 🥺
Yeah. Man, I need to play more.
Missi goated
The thing that really annoys me is the terrible performance of .22 hornet vs .22 magnum
looking at the animal list none really stand out
I prefer.22mag
you dunno ball
ok
quail and gray fox carry it icl
that and gators and eastern wilds
IRL, .22 hornet is a VASTLY more powerful cartridge than .22 mag.
Not only 2-4 times as powerful at the muzzle, AND at 200 yards.
But the game treats it as equal or worse to .22 mag which is just absurd
Tons of guns are like that
I want 7.62X54R to have something other than soft point.
.45-70 is known for taking big game irl, but in cotw it can't even get double lung on moose at 25m
Well they really should do a balance re-evaluation imo, particularly with the very small calibers like .223
Definitely
.223 has been broken as long as buckshot has.
They treat .338 and .300 as almost the same
.22 hornet, .223, .30-30, all extremely popular hunting calibers that are very underperforming
The .338 expansion ammo is significantly better than .300, but that’s about it.
Given both rifles are 5 weight it is kinda a shame
.338 soft points were my baby when i first started
.300 is 4 weight
7mm I unironically used for years
I was referring to both .338s
Is polymer always better than soft point
As my only weapon I mean
Not always
Like 7mm soft points perform better on water buffalo sub 150m than .300 polymer tips
Absolutely not, it really depends on the shot angle and the caliber. For some calibers it’s explicitly better because they don’t have the pen to double lung, or vs small targets they’ll massively overpen so you want a bullet to make use of it
ok
I like getting shots Like this for the funnies tho
Not my shot but eyeshots are very possible
I see that's why it don't hit skull
yup
Wait on a leucistic
yea lol
I forgot leucistic wigeon were even a thing
Do you have any thoughts on .375 soft points? The stats would suggest they’re awful
i have two leu females
I'll have to try them out but i'd imagine they're pretty good
I’ve heard from another guy that they are in fact awful so IDK
Right in the neck eh
yes also I changed my profile right as you replied
Yes I did notice that
🦐
Hello shrimp boy
hello
Born-again shrimp
Who was asking about the .410 buckshot passing harvest check?
how do I get the cool looking .300 variant with the engraving?
It's at an angle, but this might give you an idea about the penetration of .410 on a Roe at least.
yeah absolutely not lmfao
I mean, if it was a straighter shot, maybe. But I think it was more for foxes and smaller critters.
im not rocking with 'maybe' i'd rather bow them myself
if im gonna be that close anyway
thanks for testing it so i don't have to
17m is just wack
is the 509m of tracking before or after you shot it 😭
It was after. Yeah, the angle of the shot did not help whatsoever. I'm trying again at a need zone.
The fact that the other .410 has six shot of birdshot and also loads .45 colt which is easily the third best handgun round makes this shotgun completely awful
the judge cant load buckshot can it?
You'll find the community really doesn't use buckshot either. It's just too busted. And the fact it's a .410 doesn't help. I was wanting it so long, but now it's ew.
is it just me or are the dogs bugged 24/7
Naw it can't.
No, but I don’t see a reason it would ever need to, especially considering how .410 buckshot is worthless
slugs bro
This is literally its only purpose
no i agree, i was curious if it could penetrate to a vital on the same shot with it having a more clustered spread, i don't know if that makes much of a difference
And frankly the judge should be able to chamber them, there’s no reason it can’t
I may be able to answer that soon. Hopefully.
not if it cant chamber buckshot
Jesus Christ. I got a much better angle and shot off, but this .410 buckshot is a slow bleeder.
no vital again im guessing
I doubt it. I'm tracking it. I'll post a pic when I get it.
i am very curious as to why buckshot is your ammo of choice
you do not seem to be enjoying yourself
I actually haven't messed with it since release for the .410.
so this is out of necessity i guess lol
Oh my god, it' snot even close. They should say class 1-2.
I don’t know if the drilling is better or worse than the 7mm
My guess is that it’s significantly better and the numbers simply lie
I mean, it's better to find out now rather than later. You had a question and I wanted an answer as well so it worked out for us.
.410 buckshot is significantly stronger IRL than in game and even it won’t reliably kill a small deer at 20 yards
Here's the second one.
Truth be told I think it’s for wild dogs or something like that if you’re too weak to shoulder a regular shotgun
708m 😭
That's the pattern I'm seeing. No pun intended. Bah-duh bum!
No disrespect but this was a pretty poor shot angle and would be pushing it even IRL
Naw, you're right.
Especially at 35 meters, lol
It’s actually kinda strange, because on paper .410 buck isn’t bad
But it just doesn’t get remotely the same results as 12 gauge
Can I have a diamond or great one
Well like we've been saying, buckshot's been broke since the start of the game pretty much. Sad fact is that's about average pen on any given gauge i think.
Lazer, you've been warned about asking. Stop.
.410 buck will do weird things like completely fail to penetrate deer at 20 yards when it absolutely has the energy to do so, and I wonder if it’s because of the absence of an effective shot cup or something because the pellets are stacked in a line
Rule 9 says no trading
Nothing against what I’m saying
rule 7 says heed the mods
Nah mate I was referring to real life, haha
Heard a story of a guy teaching his kid, shot a small doe with .410 buck at roughly 20 yards and it ran off. Shot another doe later with a .410 slug and dropped it—same doe. The .410 buck didn’t go deeper than a half inch, wounds weren’t even bleeding poor thing
Saw the pics so I believe it
So they can make up random rules🤔
I'm not a mod. I just know you were asked to stop. You'll have to ask for clarification if you need it.
no, begging falls under rule 9, and continuing to ask despite being asked to stop falls under rule 7
I do wish the .410 pistol could load slugs
But honestly from what I’ve heard about it IRL, maybe that’s realistic that it can’t. Allegedly if you shoot slugs with it, the primers will invariably back out or blow out, which makes turning the cylinder impossible
Look at rule 9 a little closer and to make your point I was asking not begging
youre "asking" for free trophies which nobody wants to give you and persisting after youve been told to stop
youre not gonna pull off a loophole here
I don’t “have” to stop but whatever
that makes sense, .45 is a decent enough category as is
The .357 has some pretty decent stats, actually. I was quick to overlook it because it’s ugly and silly looking
Better pen ammo than .45, but far worse expansion ammo
Except that 2-6 range is pretty nice.
I would assume it has a much flatter trajectory but haven’t tried it
And .357 hits like a brick anyways.
With .45 you get 1-5 (because it loads .410) and the penetration ammo is identical to the .44 magnum pen ammo, might have more damage falloff idk
with the judge being light as hell its almost zero drawback anyway, just bring a larger gun
With .357 you save half a pound at the cost of no .410
was using the focoso earlier today and i like it a lot
Love smoking badgers with the focoso
brought it for wolves while i was hunting snow geese
I wish we had more rifles like the Mosin.
Oh damn .357 has WAY cheaper ammo than .45, fully 1/2 the cost
-# kinda like real life
didn't run into too many but a few unfortunate mountain goats walked into my setup begging for it
What’s the bullet drop like?
didn't get a chance for a long enough shot to know
maybe i'll take it to the range
once i did aim high and spine one, so maybe not bad?
i overcompensated
I will say, the .45 has the benefit of a really nice incremental zero with the mildot setup—75,150,225,300—at the cost of a slow projectile
Now that I think about it, how come .45 has better stats all around than .357, but is only 2-5 instead of 2-6
.45 long is just more expensive, isn't it? Isn't it a specialty cartridge?
Ehhh
Idk if you can call what was once the most popular handgun cartridge in the world ‘specialty’ but it’s certainly rare these days
Once? I thought it was pretty much one of the only ones made? lol.
And also the virant
I'm not good at remembering stuff in this game
except dime for black grouse being 120
Well it goes like this. Back in the day when .45 colt was popular, there were tons of proprietary black powder cartridges and calibers in circulation, both handguns and rifles, and many of them made for the purpose of patent evasion.
It kinda died down for a while and only a couple were left standing, .45 colt being no doubt chief among them, and then cordite, the first modern smokeless powder, supplanted nitro powder/guncotton and you see a lot of experimentation and a bunch of weird cartridges pop up again as people are experimenting, some of which have stood the test of time.
Good morning,
Would soon go on stalking, then on sit-up hunting, if anyone wants to come along, please add me.
I have built up a great territory with kirrungen and more.
If Germans are here, feel free to contact us via DM
Yo
Is the te awaroa good ?
is multiplayer bugged i cant play with my friend
Yes, make an apex account and have them do the same. It’s more reliable.
Check gg.deals but yeah, fun map. Very good gun
.45 acp my beloved
.45 ACP is actually closer to the .45 Schofield rather than .45 Colt, but they’re definitely related cartridges
Long as it stops them from coming back as a lich 🙏
Vector with subsonic ammo needs to be added
Havent played the game since i got the g1 fox 1 year ago. Is there anything new?
There's a decent amount of new stuff yeah
What Are the g1 now?
Can't say id use it for hunting ngl
Red deer
Fallow deer
Whitetail deer
Moose
Black bear
Red fox
Grey wolf
Ring necked pheasant
Wild boar
Grey wolf and boar
Nice
Is the wolf hard?
I already have moose, fallow and red fox. So compared with them
Compared to the others? Not really
Yukon decent for wolf grind?
no care for muleys or tahr </3
nah, 9 legendary for red deer
and dime moose could be level 4 or 5
OH I KNEW I FORGOT 2
Absolutely
dime moose dont exist
3 trolls
no dime
im convinced they genuinely dont exist
😭
he ran
my biggest fear of getting a dime red is that god awful one
no major issue if he wasn't a rare fur or anything
u know the one
I just got a max weight diamond plains bison!! :D
Does anyone have a map where you can see all the badger buildings?
Do I need to buy tripods for grinding?
i just shot a litle bird from 380 meters away whith the 22
what is that
Haggis track
Not really
like for running dogs
Tripods help you with hunting pressure, it takes 15 animals to make a deadzone instead of 4
Put them 150-160m (165-175 yards) away so they are not getting spooked and you gonna be fine
no not really
but it's good to keep the dead zones down
👍
A pickup truck would be fire tbh, to put equipment and your dogs in the back
i wish they would bring truck to the game running dogs and the buck race the best
I didn't catch those, got the game during the winter sale
You doing a mission or are these just in the wild?
I think them being class 0 means mission
How do I unlock voice chat, I wanna play some COTW with somebody but I have them locked for some reason
it the same with me too
- To unlock the ability to post pictures, react, join a voice chat, and use the forums you've gotta talk A LITTLE BIT.
- To unlock the ability to embed, screenshare, change your nickname, and use gifs you've gotta talk A LOT.
- To unlock the ability to use external emoji and stickers, you've gotta talk SO MUCH.
text some more
obvs not spam, be we need engagement before allowing users into the vcs as previously ppl haven't behaved
yeah yeah no problem
the roles are automatically assigned , not by mods too just fyi

Lots of people have em , for both public and private servers
This server has a custom tag too
how do u get 1
you can change it in your profile settings !
yooo
Yeah mission
Wild haggis
whats the chance of a 7 very hard piebald red deer
low
Man that sucks. There was just a sale. Could’ve bought like a sold 6 packs with that
nah i got like 5 packs and its in AUD i got it while the sale was on
Ahhh makes sense
yep, got a dog, silver ridge peaks, few guns packs and yeah
I think there a few must have packs. Tents, tripods, scopes and cross hairs, modern rifle pack(if you wanna hunt big game immediately), rapid hunt pack, and bloodhound pack
Bloodhound is just if you suck at finding your kills
it can also warn you of dangerous animals
bloodhound was 2 bucks so i just thought what the hell I got lwk lonley in the map, I got the pack with the arenza .300
i think i got the same bundle, but i did get 2 extra the electronic caller pack and the one with the cross bow they are both so worth it
oh yeah i got the night vision one as well
ive dropped at least 30 bintang on emerald peaks already with the arenza
I LOVE having the electronic caller. It makes hunting way more species easier. You don’t need to have in game money or in game levels to determine your callers
exactly
It’s just HEAVY
I thought it was 2 pounds then one day i realized my inventory weight did NOT add up and its just as much as some of my guns
I think it’s like 4 or 5
3.5
And when you can’t afford a backpack it adds up
its 4 i think
Just is most times
I’d play with you but I got school soon
i just dont like sitting alone for hours
I did see on psn that the base game was just on sale for $5 a month ago and now its on sale for $14.99
i got it for 5 or 6 aud
i played hours and hours on my ps4 but no matter what i did none of my data carried over to ps5
even contacted ps pros, they couldnt do shi
damn nice
Fairly sure all you have to do is transfer your save data and use the same psn account
The game isn’t cross compatible on any platform. Also the game was on sale for like $1.59 on steam during December
Ps4/5 is cross compatible as ps5 you're just playing the ps4 version anyways
Ahh ok didn’t know that
in everyones opinion what is the best rifle any class
I asked the same question and it really varies depending on if you want yardage, class versatility, or power
I think the malmer 7mm
i was considering buying another pack for the malmer 7mm but if i save up in game currency i can get it anyways
not really a rifle but the crossbow can hunt anything and in my experience it just drops everything
im happy with the arenza though and a .223
If I had to pick good starter rifles it would be the zarzas
is hunting pressure a big deal because i know if you shoot 4 animal in one spot it will deleat zones but how hard is it to remove pressure
i main emerald coast so the .223 and arenza are doing great ngl
it just does it overtime i think, maybe a day irl or more
bows and stuff use less hunting pressure if i worded that right
I’ll have to try it. What classes are they? Bc I’m about to start a fox grind in emerald
emerald coast is actually fantastic for foxes
You can also create hunting pressure in other spots and it’ll remove it in some spots
how much do i have to make to remove it
mainly 4-6's, but for bintang and crocs like 7-9
I’m using the starter 243. And Vergarda rn
excluding birds and stuff
I use the zarza 22 for birds
try out the .223, i got it for 6000 and so far very good, extremely accurate and great for the map, definitely recomend
Any. If you create let’s say 3 high pressure spots around one lake and jump to another lake creating more high pressure it’ll lower the previous pressure faster and to like high to mid
Sheeesh idk if I can bring myself to drop 6k. I’m only level 10 with about 10-20k at a time and I need it for tents. The fox grind after research requires many much tent
theres a good spot for foxes near a house, i can show the location if you like
if you got a big gun, go south east on a quad and ride around till you find bintang, a good shot gives u 1k and they travel in huge packs
If you have a picture that would be great! I can’t hop in game rn. I’m on the bus.
easiest money ive ever made, i made at least 30k today along
sure, its 2:30 am for me anyways so i'll send it tomorrow
Oooo. I heard sand something along a river are good cash
insane cash, actually free ive bought 124 rounds of ammo for my arenza cause i keep on running out when chasing the bintang
Ooooo👀
costed 10 lol but worth
My only annoyance with the Fox grind being on emerald instead of Scotland is the fact I wanna play Scotland and not discover a whole different map
Oh and also crocs
I have the reflexes of a stunned goldfish
easier to shoot than you'd think
lol
The Fox grind I researched says there’s two major lakes to pick and about 40-50 Fox drink zones. Set up a tent for every drink zone around the two lakes which totals to around 10 tents
.223 is literally perfect for that
And since you shoot females and males you need hunting structures too otherwise you blow out zones
i didnt even hit one in an organ, literally the tail and still dropped him
Yep, Fox splat is comedical
They’re my favorite animal irl and their model in game is just stunning
They look scary
Gulp. Just this muscular dog/donkey looking creature after you
Sometimes I feel bad. Imagine you’re just going about your day drinking and you’re suddenly unable to breathe bc you’ve been shot in the lung by a threat you can’t combat. But hey we gotta eat too
I mean that’s true
im gonna go to bed now
Ok sleep well
ty
Been looking for people to hunt with I’m on ps5 if anyone wanna play
#🦌︴find-a-game is the place for that!

Guys whats the best map for mule deer?
african map
askiy
imma go after that 4th boar today. need a little boar slaying to spice up my week
askiy ridge
crashing out over mounts again. thank you @frosty herald for the feedback post over a year ago now EW can you PLEASE work on fixing mount sizes in the next update 😭
They did fix a few of them iirc
Also hiii
i have tried putting some goats up and im genuinely just like screaming over how confusing some of the mounts are 😭
also hello!!! how are you doing its been like 20 years
Been working on some stuff and getting distracted by some of my winter sale acquisitions
I can't remember... is there a filter for size?
If not, that would be handy
ermm theres class i suppose?
but when tahr are a class 4 and fit onto the one primarily for class 1 animals i guess it doesnt do much 😭
Yeah I was thinking like mount sizes cause they do classify them that way for placement. Like I know the multi mounts have their little note on it so you can tell whats medium, large, extra large and so on
Would be cool to filter what you have without going to every single plaque in a lodge lol
yeahhh or a little indicator on the animal itself which says like M or smth
yee
hhhhhhhh some day i will have my ibex wall in spring creek
some day
i dont even have a dime of becite ibex but i WILL
forgot to sya but this sounds fancy and scary
i need to buy more maps
no one here is stopping u so dw about that!
yes mama
uni work, fallout show soon, and cotw ofc 😼😼😼
I’m in class rn twin
dont remind me of class i dont want to write my dissertation
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for an Ash or Smolder today
ash or smolder? 🤨🤨
Chasing down my fourth g1 boar
Ciao, qualcuno sa come avere la lingua italiana?
i just did a rotation on srp for my bear grind and didnt spot a single bear whats going on?
OMG YAY
i havent been about much but im so glad to know that LOL
i was waiting
how long has the 4th one grind been going?
hibernation, they do that in the winter months!
ur trolling?
yeah sorry i have no clue
Just COTW being COTW 👍
" The usual " if you will
im just confused because im doing the 4 way method and the drink zones dont move
Go kill other stuff somewhere else for 15-20min. Sometimes respawns don't trigger until you kill a certain number of animals.
interesting, ill try
ima herd manage a lil so its no problem
Just to inform u there were some mountain lions close to the lakes do bears spook by them?
I'm only like 150 in currently. Took a break over the weekend to do some stuff n things
Smolder?
As far as I know, they don't. But I can't say for sure.
I thought bears did get spooked by mountain lions. Huh, might have to do some searching around on this
yep
really??!
looks like it
school
The woodcocks look wierd as hell. lol
awesome!ive shot like 2 cinnamon bears before i realized it was a rare finnaly i can taxi one
@potent crag i didnt shoot it will it come back to same zone?
they are adorable
yep it sure will
we have those here in norway i think. theyre very cute
@potent crag how much money have in the game

Bayonet charging deer is a fun past time
im peeking 100k right now
I WOU/LD TOPOOOO
theyre one of my fave animals ever
mb i was replying to this
i hate yaks
They had fun making the Scotland map. "Two fat ladies! Wait, oh, just a wee roe deer."
they always ruin the goddamn snow leopard scent trail igot
every
SINGLE
time
"oh youre searching this specific species? WRONG im gonna be AGGRESSIVE"
havent shot one yet tbh
never been near them
doing missions i havent played sundar much
im trying to HM them so theyre INSANELY Annoying
i got annoyed at them 😭
like i want to get a SR snow leopard but these DAMN YAKS
i wish u luck
will be needed
when i spot a snow leopard ill be like YAY and not shoot it most likely
cant shoot them 😭
i shot a female cause i was fed up on MP only for her to turn out to be Leu, it was a gut shot cause of the horrible angle 😭
@potent crag ITS 7:20 am and my bear isnt here😑
😭
okay u kmow what ima get myself a yak and also be on the lookout
if you just walk youre prolly gonna hear a warning call before they spook
im assuming dogs doing point snow leopards?
M class, yeah
wanna cheat my way to one 😭
WAIT THEY DO?
😭
oh thats the best part tho
the tibetan foxes
the foxes are EVERYWHERE
warning of yak or snowy?
snowy
youre prolly gonna find like 15 foxes before a leopard
at this point i figured out which 1 it is based on how fast the trail is picked up 😭
endangered vulnerable species murder speedrun
some good news for u all there
they are no longer considered endangered apparently!
WOOo
Hey everyone, setting up HM for the first time and I have a question. On a lot of my moose drink zones on medved, there is multiple need zones per drink zone icon, ie 2 with 1 moose and 1 with 3 moose, do I treat them all as one group or by their individual need zones?
not for long
