G1s are a bit different than a diamond grind because any male of a species capable of being a G1 can respawn as a G1 after you shoot it.

It's as simple as finding need zones for the species you want, setting up tents and blinds/Tripods to hunt the males, and rotating through the zones to keep from building up too much pressure.

Fallow Deer on Hirsch are a popular and easy one to set up, as are Whitetail if you're on Layton.

I can't help you find your zones because I'm on PS, but focus first on drink zones, they're the easiest to set up.

The trick to bird hunting with a .22 is to look at where the bird is facing before it flushes. You want it to be facing as close to directly towards you or away from you as possible. This will cause them to either fly right at you or directly away from you, and both situations result in much easier shot placement, because you don't need to lead like you would for lateral shots. You can nail a bird at 150m mid air much more easily this way, than you could a bird at 50m flying laterally.

Typically if i'm doing a grind with someone I set expectations before that situation happens, to prevent hurt feelings. One good potential compromise is "you get the diamonds and rare furs and I get the G1".

Though I rarely do MP in the first place and only set up grinds for species I don't care for, I'm too selfish with my small game to share. 😆

Bo I'm not kidding, the .243 is a solid little rifle. I really like it. And genuinely, it's the only gunpowder rifle I know of that won't alarm animals you shoot beyond 300-350m, so if you can take those long shots with it you can clean house.
