Well yes, but only if they're spawned in. If you scope in on them and their animations look jagged or skippy, they're not actually shootable, but if you can spot them you can shoot them. The problem is trying to figure out their actual distance, as the spotting function doesn't relay proper estimations when they're overhead. But, if the .22lr can do it, the .22h definitely can.

Why can't I find the animals at the need zone? I look at the campaign app and go to the appropriate hours. I crouch and walk from 200 meters away so as not to scare them but I never find them

On a target as large as a goose, no, you just aim at the front of their body and you're pretty much guaranteed to hit them somewhere, and they don't survive a .22 even on a flesh shot at 300m.

So, say you're hunting whitetail. Their drink zone time is 08:00-12:00. The deer may not shown up until 10:00 or even 11:00.

And they may also show up earlier and leave before the need zone time ends, though usually if they do it's only 15-30min early

i normally arrive at a need zone around an hour after the ‘start time’ so say its 0800-1200 i will go there at 0900

so that could help you

The jernberg is a good gun, how does it stack up to its lever gun counterpart,

Medium bleeds usually represent a mortal hit and they died. You'll know for sure if an animal died by checking the map and looking for hunting pressure where you shot the animal. Pressure zones only spawn when you kill a target.

Hirschfeld, as Ghost said, is quite good and free. If you want to really get into Fox hunting though, Salzwiesen Park can't be beat. Lots of open fields where fox frequently eat, and the map is incredibly small compared to other maps in the game, making them much easier to keep track of.

Layton and Hirsch are excellent maps. Layton has fantastic whitetail and blacktail hunting, and Hirsch is one of the best money makers with goose hunting, plus it has great, open fields that make hunting Fox, Fallow Deer, Red Deer and many other species very manageable.

No but for real if you want to hunt foxes, find their need zones and set up 250m away. From there you can sneak up to them and take them out. Bonus points if you find a resting zone; while resting you can get within 40m of them if you take it slow and stay low.

I doubt they're going to change engines, since the game seems to be designed around modular map incorporation. Storage space is increased with each map but other than that it's not putting much strain on the hardware to run.

Xbox excluded, it seems like that platform version specifically is on it's last leg... I have yet to meet an Xbox player with no issues.
