Geese and harlequin ducks are very easy to grind. Caribou are all over the place same with moose. Bison are easy you can just run after them. Wolves come to you mostly so those are easy. If you want to get the whole pack, dont shoot the highest scoring ones until after you get the rest

You're missing the entire solution. It's not something they can do anything about without completely ripping the game apart. I would honestly hate this game to turn live service which is the easiest solution. We have to work with what we've got. Stupid people are going to do stupid people things. You cannot trust strangers on the internet. Even with heavy anticheat in games people still cheat. It's not a fix all

If you think it’s fine for the ability to host public servers to be thrown out by making no efforts at all to even see if a solution to hacking is possible, then that’s frankly stupid and fully condones the hacking of lobbies and the running of peoples saves.
Not everyone is on the Reddit or the discord, many pick up the game for the first time and may host a game with a friend setting it to public, a guy can come in and wipe the server clean in a few minutes.
They won’t have had any idea about this problem before hand, why should action only be retrospectively applied and not proactively before?
Can the devs not put warnings up at least when people start served about the risks?
Oh and when people have car crashes usually someone is punished or blamed not allowed to drive off and cause accidents again and again
