Animals don't spawn, they're all on the map. I guess despawn is a thing, but it's not like they fully disappear from the map. Missions are good, some maps have easy storylines that involve very little shooting or stalk drink zones

If you follow the tracks you’ll eventually find em and/or their need zones. You can backtrack em too

They’re easier to hunt during need zone times as they’re in one area and won’t be moving

They’re harder to keep up with while sneaking otherwise

Check the wind, are you wearing a backpack (I think they're fixed now but I still don't wear one)? I like to go prone to go where I'm going, that combined with the "half-stick trick" and clever use of brushes and cover and I can generally get within 30m of whatever animal I'm targeting

It is. You’re going slower than the animal while crouched. You’ll get the hang of it eventually though, with practice. Took me a while to figure it out for specific animals. Sometimes you can get away with running a tiny bit then going back to crouch/walk

Probably exactly what you're thinking, maybe. Using a controller, just slightly hold down the left stick instead of pushing it full bore, you'll walk/run/crawl at half the speed and also half the noise/visibility. So using crawl/prone with that and you're a ghost lol.

Bloodhound - tracking blood
Pointer - points/flushes a range of classes, including specific species
Retriever - retrieves all class 1 animals like bunnies, ducks, Turkey, etc

If the snow map tickles your fancy I’d say snag it

Landmarks is complete-able, you just gotta blast through the main missions and not explore anywhere, then you're free to do that one. Cinnamon bears I don't think has ever been fixed
