Hello everyone!

I am gauging interest in a European Group buy for the ABSIS Bus Master Version 5.0.0. It is the latest bus master board that reverts to using the Arduino Mega as the RS485 master.

The pit uses 4 bus master boards. I will order from JLCPCB as usual with all SMD components equipped. Procurement and soldering of through-hole components is up to you. Also the Arduino Mega is not included. For now I am collecting interest only. I will ask you again before ordering, if you are still in. Unless you specify otherwise I calculate sets of four PCBs per person. I will list interest in the initial post.

We tried two times al ready, but all the potato-farmers and herring-fishers voted against it thinking it's better to be outside the union without any influence, and just be forced to abide by all the regulations regardess.... (I am sure i will get a lot of heat for that statement). But hey, we got one of the weakest currencies in the western world right now, so I guess it's good for the ones selling Norwegian stuff on the international market!

Hi @red musk : Oh man, it has been a while but yes I definitely want to proceed with this. The past two weekends I was close to getting a quote and initiate confirming interest and collecting money. But I have been too busy. Younger son turned 18. Big party on Saturday. Once that's done I will start things.

Hello everyone,

I found the time to get a quote from JLCPCB. We are currently a total of 14 interested buyers. A full set of HID Bus Masters comprises 4 boards. So we need 64 pieces. The nearest order quantity is 75. Based on 75 pieces the per unit price including shipping to my location is 3,61 €. Keep in mind I will be able to tell everyone their share of the customs only at a later stage. I would expect something around 50 ct - 1 € per item for that. And of course you will have to add the cost of shipping to your place.

If these prices are acceptable and you are still “in“ please Paypal me 3,61 € times your desired quantity to [email protected]. Please use friends and family. Since I am not eager to end up with 11 spares which I paid feel free to indicate if you want more than 4 boards. So far only aniron indicated he wants one or two extra. Please do not Paypal the money for extras right away but indicate so before sending money. That way I can keep track and let people know when all spares are spoken for.

The price is for the ABSIS Bus Master PCB with the SMD components (3 resistors, 3 capacitors, 3 MAX487 chips. Through-hole components and Arduino Mega are NOT included.

Nothing reliable yet. I gave them into production on December 17. The PCBs could be done by tomorrow. But I guess that does not include soldering the SMD components. Then there is shipping and German customs. But I am pretty confident they can be here early next year. I will keep you posted.

No, sorry. I already placed the order on December 17 and all PCBs are spoken for. I have not heard from @tacit wigeon , though. If he hasn't reacted by the time the PCBs arrived at my place, maybe I can offer you to take over his slot. But he might just be on vacation during the holiday.
@unborn merlin : Are there any rules on how long I should wait for the reply / payment from someone that has shown interest? It has only been one week so for sure I will wait till past the XMAS and New Year holidays.

OK everyone. There is obviously some party preparation going on so I will see how far I can get. I will part out the bus master PCBs, add the surplus PCBs from my other offer for some of you, determine package size and weight and cost. I will then ask you to pay your share of the import fee (It looks like we have been lucky and it will only be something like 25 ct per PCB) the cost of the surplas PCBs (if applicable) and the shipping and off they go.

Wonderful. My package is apparently lost in limbo. Got a mail to tell me that I can pick it up. The post office doesn't have it. The tracking didn't update for days.
