Posting for the OH stick and Throttle PCB interest. If we get 5 interested the cost would be 63.44 each + shipping from me to you. EU is not ruled out if we get enough interest but i will only do direct shipping. Side note some parts are low in stock and may require a preorder. I will separate the throttle and stick for those only interested in one or the other. Multiples of 5 only limiting factor. JLPCB may require baking for some or all of the PCB's and will be at slightly higher cost if that occurs.

Got you
Count me in, EU
Counted In
I’m in for Canada @oak field interested?
Got you @spare viper
Count me in (Switzerland)
shouldnt it be 4 hall sensors? 2 for throttle and 2 for stick?
I’m interested.
I’m interested
count me in as well, I'd like some spares for testing things out
So one of them i believe is this ...Roll sensor OH3A3-123 which i can find no more info on and is not listed in the OHE electronics folder. so I couldnt include it. If its just a 4th hall sensor i could add that if i can get confirmation.
@dry hull , @normal canopy, @oak field , And @crimson eagle Got you all.
#7 in the picture
Yes, its in that assembly. and if the -123 assy doesn't have a view in the drawing, if you could bug that as an issue in the repo so we can track that. 😄
Definitely need 4 hall sensors...2 throttle and 2 stick.
Will add the 4th and update pricing when we get closer to closing this out, right now I'm gonna let this run a couple of weeks and see if we can get to 20. Plus it'll let some recover from all the group buys running concurrently for a bit. And Yes I will submit it on github
Sounds great! No rush on my end, just don't want to miss the opportunity. Thanks for the effort!
@frigid cliff all I need is the stick PCB but if that creates an issue I understand.
we will let it run for a couple weeks and it may in fact work out splitting it, i we have some left over i can list them for sale on marketplace after the fact.
4th hall sensor added and prices have been updated for 5 participants even though we are already over that, so my guess is itll be cheaper still.
I’m interested in just the stick
I assume the throttle will be included if and when an LC group buy starts 🥳
Full set here, USA
nice got you both down 1 full set and 1 tenetative stick only
I’ll do a set for throttle pcbs. Illinois
got ya
Interested in throttle PCBs. Sweden.
Since this buy is open, and I recognize several names from all the other buys lately, let me ask; Among the L/R LIP UIP buys the last months, the only PCB i think we have not covered is the ABSIS002A1 PCB, ABSIS MEGA. It goes with the com panel as far as I can see... Any chance to add that one to this buy if enough want it? It will make my pit complete pcb wise i think, and it might be the case for others as well.
Count me in full set (EU)
@regal haven let's ask the group if they are all interested, I personally do not have a problem adding them.
What do you all want to do?
Thib_o54 got ya, Amiron got ya
I'd be interested in the Mega.
we only need 2 more for it technically with the 3 of us
I’m interested for the mega too 👍
Count me in for a Mega too, thanks
I’m slightly confused, are not the mega included in the ABSIS ALE buy going on right now?
I think that one is for the ale and relay boards only.
Any chance for the McMaster hardware packages to be part of this group buy as well, for us EU folks who have problems getting hold of it?
A lot of things can be substituted but I think for the throttle and stick at least it would be wise to stick to the designed-for hardware dimensions.
I would pay for that too @wooden ore, that sounds like a really good idea
I can look into the Mcmaster parts, Yall want those for both the stick and throttle? This screenshot is for the throttle order and its not all inclusive, as its reliant on some parts also included in the ejection seat order next to it. breaking those orders down by pit vs packs of 50 or 100 will take me a minute to figure out but it could be done.
Just my opinion,
A Mcmaster-carr order would be very difficult to pull off and combine with the PCB order. it would be asking allot of DenziLee.
if DenziLee decided to do it he really should say what will be ordered and no changes.
The stick in-particular is a very complex order with 76 parts to order,
The stick however is the only part specified in metric. so screws , washers, nuts do not need to be part of it as those can easily be obtained locally.
I would strongly recommend any mcmaster group buys be standalone group buys and well defined with no customization per purchaser for the reasons Sandra listed.
I agree the McMC is a siginicant different order, and sould be done separately. Sorry for popping open the can of worms here DenziLee with my suggestion for the mega. I hope we can do it since thats more like one more line on the jlpcb order and it seems like fore folks want it, but i fully understand if you want to keep this as is.
@everyone The Mega is in as we have 5 people interested. If you want it as well just let me know. As you can see by the saved orders above I'm fixing to order the throttle anyway...so i don't feel like its that much more of an ask. I do understand the complexities involved and it would have to be this is the order no changes. So just for clarity, i would start it in a new post. Those wanting theirs to be shipped together with their PCB's to save money would need to state that as the mcmaster order will take some additional time to repackage and double check before shipping and could possibly delay the orders when bundled with PCB's. Not to be added here but just a side note 1.)how many people are in fact wanting Mcmaster 2) Throttle and Stick? or just throttle. As Sandra stated screws washers and nuts for the stick are metric and could be sourced locally so that would just be for everything else.
I'd be interested pending price.
I’m also interested in both the PCBs (including Absis Mega) and McMasterCarr kit
Interested in the Mega too
I'm interested in McMaster parts (for throttle only, not stick) if there are enough of us that the price/shipping cost is reasonable.
@leaden mica
Same, interested in MacMaster Parts for the Throttle 👍
Seriously… $466 for screws amd stuff for the throttle? Or do i read it wrong
not sure where 466 came from but yeh, you have to remember McMaster care does not sell 1 or 2 of screws and such, you buy bags/boxes of 50 or 100 thats why group buys for McMaster are good but also hard to organize and the one running it has to plan and price so they don't get stuck of a 100-200 worth of stuff they can't use.
The idea is, I believe, that the bags/boxes are parceled out and we split the cost. It would be quite prohibitive to ship pounds of unneeded hardware across the Atlantic.
Im currently working on spreadsheets for the group mcmaster group buys and will post that hopefully by Wednesda. I can say that 5 people in a group drops the prices on both at least by $400 from buying them individually but i will let the raw data back that staement when it posts.
Im in for a Group buy then 🙂
Count me in if, pending price
Mee to pending prices. I see for the stick, there's lots of metric stuff that's available locally, but if it does not cost an arm and a leg it would be convenient to get it all in one go.
Will the McMc be a separate group buy, or included in this one?
I'm in the US, and didn't buy all the metric hardware from McMaster for the stick...only when it was cheaper or just couldn't find a decent set. Granted our local hardware stores only tend to carry metric as more expensive individually packaged fasteners. So went the Amazon route leaning more to multipacks that included enough in the various sizes. I'm sure outside the US it's so much easier to find metric in bulk.
Seperate, I would list it now to clean up this thread and redirect it but...im doing some important groundwork first so that we minimalize confusion and everyone KNOWS what they are buying instead of guessing and YES @regal haven it appears to be cheaper for the hardware as a group for the stick as well. I think we will see about interest for the stick at this juncture first as the aluminum Stick parts are probably better suited to @dry hull and her machinist guy. Waiting for that to take place would probably be prudent for those interested in stick hardware and by timing it correctly we would create a more fluent expierience for everyone. All that being said i have a vested interest in offering the stick parts at this moment due to my mistake early Saturday morning. While i was saving the stick order I apparently ordered/paid for enough for 5 sets and it will be shipping Tuesday. Even at that. i still may think waiting for reasons stated above might be better.
@frigid cliff please count me in for a full set (EU)
Added
@frigid cliff can you change me to full set plus the Mega?
EU/Norway
@frigid cliff please add me as well for the full set including the mega
US
You can also add me (Switzerland)
Sweet added
@cold jacinth Thats a full set plus the Mega?
Does That Include the Mega?
No. I already have that from another group buy.
is this eletronics only?
Just to make sure, I'm down for the pcb's including the mega for both hands.
For the McMC discussion, I'd take the stick and throttle stuff if cost end up around what's been indicated.
@everyone Ok The Throttle hardware goup buy is on its own channel and is now open please shift all those inquiries over there. I decided to forego the stick hardware at this time to allow for the stick aluminum parts group buy to happen first. I will clean up this thread and update the quantities for this group by this evening and will let this thread run through the weekend and close out early next week if that's agreeable with everyone. Please check your info and tell me if i have you right after 6pm this evening. Please and thank yall very much.
Yes this thread is for the Stick/Throttle and Mega PCBs only
For reference when you lean it up, I'm in for the pcbs including the mega.
Yes with the Mega
Updated please check for accuracy.
Please include me for the full set with mega
Mega for me too
Just a small precision. I’m in Switzerland (CH) and not in SH (?) 😄
My bad
Can you please add me? Throttle only plus the Mega. Located in Germany.
@everyone closing this out this evening . Please check this excel sheet and ensure i have your order correct. This order will require a preorder on the power leds for the Throttle controller board at this time, will check again before i order them tomorrow.
@frigid cliff 2 things on my order if you do not mind, add in the Mega for me and make mine for 2 sets please
Yes Maam
Thanks @frigid cliff For shipping, can you combine @oak field and I? It’ll save us shipping and we’re close enough to just grab it from each other.
Im sure that will not be a problem, will wait on shipping details until they arrive here for reshipping, consider grouping with your throttle hardware, it may save you some money.
Checked, looks good for me!
Updated
So we are locked at particpant level. we will have 1 extra Hall sensor and 1 extra mega. If anyone would like either of those let me know .
👍 looks good for me
Looks good for me. I will get the extra mega and Hall sensor
Awesome
updated again this time with extended pricing less taxes and shipping here.
Looks right for me.
Paid JLCPCB For the preorder will wait for those to come in before placing the order
It’s all correct for me too.
And for the shipping can you combine with ForFire to my address, so we share the shipping costs.
Thanks in advance
the pre-order will arrive at JLCPCB on the 28th of March. When i get confirmation of arrival I will add the boards with the missing parts and get totals with shipping to everyone so you can send it to me.
👍
Pre-Order is in Early! Next Step ill add boards with the missing parts and give Totals
you still taking order?
so, yeah got the parts in that were out of stock and i preordered, now JLCPCB is saying they are out of this! So aggrevating.
Right Now Though technically not ordered, the order is balanced, we would need yourself and 4 others interested to keep it balanced due to JLPCB's quantity in multiples of 5 policy. Ill keep you on standby if your interested or happen to get 4 others interested before JLCPCB can get all of our parts in.
@frigid cliff I thought the 5 number was the minimum order and not a multiple. Meaning you could order 6 as an example...I haven't done much ordering however so I am likely wrong 😉
Can’t order 6, It’s generally multiples of 5 up until a certain number (30ish) where it jumps in bigger steps.
If you look at the spreadsheet above you'll see that right now on the 2 lines of numbers needed and the JLCPCB orders are about even all the way across. we add only 1 more....we end up with the group paying for 4 boards too many on most items .
Understood...thanks for the clarification
@dry hull dp you have any recomendations for this shortage?
try this one
C5875739
Got it! Thanks @dry hull for your help.
@everyone the order is ready to be placed now! Totals Were 889.46 for merch and 99.96 for shipping, 989.42 total. I'll break it down by person here directly.

3 of the boards are made and off to assembly. Still waiting on confirmation on the hall sensor boards and mega have been made. Will keep you all updated as I get info.
Hi, question about the comms switch and tdc breakout boards. Are they populated with the 4 way switch and analog stick from jlpcb? Can't find those specific parts on the drawings.
they're through hole so part numbers are on the BOM. Like other through hole parts you can buy those from other places like digikey or mouser.
Hey, little late here but any more see available or slots? Very interested (WA, US)
Unfortunately not this go around.
Shipment shows arrival Monday the 15th.
Tax day. Woohooo
one bright spot in an abismal day
for those involved with this group buy, just an FYI. The throttle control board is suspect in this issue on github. #oh-electrical message to keep fully abreast at what is going on with them i would suggest yall monitor the results and comments here.
@everyone They're Here!
I will sort out the box and get everything ready. Then we will go from there.
Wooohoooo

wasn't there an issue opened on the throttle PCB for the for the solenoid circuit not working (moot those since the solenoid are not working mechically either)
GitHub
Discord Username Arribe Bug Summary When external power is applied to the Throttle Controller PCB, the solenoids are powered on. Expected Results The solenoids should be able to turn off when the s...
that's the 2 issues open for the throttle as a FYI
@dry hull : So if I read this correctly it makes no sense to order the throttle controller as it is right now from JLCPCB? In that case I would remove it from my group buy and concentrate on the remaining left console PCBs only. How about the hall sensor PCBs? They are the same for throttle and stick. I remember reading about issues with one of the thrust levers of the throttle but I coud be wrong here. If there are, could they be related to the hall sensors or is the reason somewhere else and the hall sensors are a "safe bet" to produce?
the solenoid are the only thing impacted everything else is working. I'm calling out so you know in advance the soleniod do not work sd intended. you can install them for now they just will not retract so you'll need to use the finger lifts a little more than you would otherwise
there's no issue with the HAL board, that is a software issue
The board operated the solenoids the solenoids were the issue
Damn. I already ordered two of them.
So you think the board is fine? Because the comments on the bug report something like "replace MOSFET xxxx with yyyy".
Thibo got the solenoids to operate
The day he opened the box
Then they heat up and quit
Well, if the issue is that due to an error on the board they are always on but they are not made for a 100% duty cycle, we still need to fix the board. If the fix is to move from solenoids to servos as suggested by the feature request above that also necessiates a change to the throttle controller, doesn't it?
I don't know how I'm going to redesign that part of the throttle just yet for sure. So everything from different solenoid to different detent mechanism is on the table. Not a near future fix.
Ignore the solenoid issue please. It’s a nice feature but does not stop the throttle from working. If your building the throttle you want it working as a throttle and it does work as one
That redesign effort will likely come in conjunction with autothrottle.
I understand. My point is that I am organizing a group buy. And I won't do the throttle controller for myself, because I already got one from a previous group buy. Had I known back then, that it might be redesigned in the future, I wouldn't have bought the PCBs in the first place. I am not blaming anyone! I should have checked issues in the github before and should have done my research.
But now I am providing these boards to others. So I would like them to know what the current status is. If they then decide they want it, that's completely fine with me.
BTW I sent him a stick conttoller....not a Throttle control board
I got my throttle rockin and rollin, minus the solenoids. So I can confirm the issues above don't impact getting it into a useable state. I remember Thib-O and I tried many different spring load combinations last year, so I just removed that functionality for now
The solenoids are just not strong enough. Tried to find an other solenoid during a long time, without success. The feature for the stops will not work with solenoids. 👍
Yep. Found same thing. Both pulling force for the travel needed and holding power where issue
That leave servo or pneumatics and pneumatics are out
Is it this one: DSTL-0840-05?
If yes I just bought two for $30 each from digikey a couple of days ago. I really should do more research before buying stuff.
Correct. We found a spring that would work with the amount of pull for the solenoid, but it didn’t offer enough resistance when operating the throttle, as you could easily push/pull through them. Which defeated the purpose
