Actually I have already the standby controller (maybe more than one, I’ll keep you informed on Monday). Concerning the AMPCD/DDI controllers, I also have them already and I am sure I don’t have any extra pcb

Except If I make mistake, You need 3 AMPCD/DDI controller for the whole pit, so it is possible to add them to the order and wait if someone else is interested. I also add the BL, I’ll take one also, I update the top message

Hey Thib-O. I am starting from Zero with my Open Hornet Build and need every PCB for the whole Cockpit. For the Beginning the whole UIP/LIP-Set (without the DDI´s and UFC, I want to use WinWing for the Beginning) would be great. But I have problems to sort out which PCB´s in which number I need. Summarized I am interested in a group buy but I do need to find out what exactly I need.

Quick update, I checked that everybody will need 3 Photswitch for the pit (for VVI, Airspeed, Altimeter), so I book for everyone 3 of them. By the way, with Aniron we almost reach the MOQ of 5 Pcb for all ABSIS, Bravo 👍

For the UIP, Yes. For LIP, 2 is enough, and for ABSIS only 1. The potential problem in the futur will be when we will reach more than 5 Pcbs. We can only order by multiple of 5 (5,10,15, etc.).
I am thinking of blocking reservations by PCBs when a quantity of 5 (or a multiple of 5) is reached. If anyone else comes after, he will be on the waiting list or would have to assume the purchase of the remaining PCBs.

There is another way, but not sensible in a lot of cases.
At the "PCB Assembly" you can choose "Standard" instead of "Economic". Then the number of assembled PCBs doesn't have to be an increment of 5.

It only makes sense if the components are very expensive.

Sucks if there's not more EU builders..... You can add me for OH2A2A1A1 - 32 - JETT STATION SELECT if it helps at all.... The one i got second hand was broken. One of the BL leds are shot.
Just a suggestion. For the boards i'm part of, i'd be willing for us to just round up to the nearest 5, and split the added cost between us. Thib-O can keep the extra boards, and sell them later for his own benefit. After all, he's the one who's putting this together.

I have 3 suggestion :
1 - We wait more time
2 - Each of us choose and take charge of extra Pcb to reach 5 and will receive them, then he will be able to sell them after
3 - Cancel the PCBs we do not reach 5 for the moment

Ok, so you do not need DDI and AMPCD, AMPCD/DDI controllers. If you final goal is the complete Pit, 25 Absis ALE/ 5 ABSIS HID BUS MASTER/ 5 Standby airspeed/ VVI is fine. Then 1 pcb per reference on the above list.

It does seem like while the ECAD rework was going on, the mounting holes specified were a tad too large. Anything in the wild is still usable (just will need some washers) but reducing the mounting holes to M3 clearance holes for the Rev 4

PCBs needed to control panels / backlighting / power supply / DDI, AMPCD and so on.

You need +20 ALE (we take 25 each as the price per pcb is relatively low), 3 DDI/AMPCD controler, 3 HID BUS master (we take 5 each), one Backlit controller, one PSU breakout and one Pit Management for the whole Cockpit

Ok, keep in mind that PCBs are SMD assembled, but you will have to supply and solder through hole components by yourself

All, With @cerulean crescent we are almost good to order (Ok for ABSIS, almost for UIP and LIP). If you agree all, let's wait until new year and see if someone else wants to get in. If not, I'd like to propose you to take extra PCBs for the LIP and place an order for ABSIS/LIP and keep this Groupbuy active for the UIP

The Abisis stuff is the most important to me, but if i'm the only one holding you back on the LIP, i'm ok with takling the full set, even if i have a few of them. For the UIP I have it all, so i really don't want to buy those....

I've never shipped anything from a private party in France to the US. Not sure if the imposed taxes would make it not worth it. But yeah, I'd interested in all the PCBs for the UIP. All for the LIP except (OH2A7A1-11, OHC0007-100, OH2A7A1-210, OHC0007-14), and various ABSIS boards. I can get the full list if shipping seems feasible

Keep in mind we EU citizens pay a higher amount for PCBs: Import tax and currency exchange fees are added on top for us. So ordering via EU is not the best option for US buyers.

Double check the files and update files for HID bus master (which has been updated few days ago)
Calculate the price per person according to your basket and send it to you with my paypal account for the payment. As I said, every person will be charged about 40% of the merchandise value ordered for taxes, customs and shipping from China. I think it's fair.
For shipping from France it's up to you. I can organize the shipment by myself or you do it by yourself (by DHL prepaid for exemple). In the first case thank you to give me your full address to be able to estimate your shipping costs.
For US Hub please give me the address where I'll have to send the package.

Hi 👋 Quick update about the process. I received the payment of alsmost all of you, thank you very much ! I am just waiting for the last payment of @cerulean crescent to place the order. As soon as the order will be placed I will keep you informed about its status. Following @hexed portal discussion on the other group buy, be aware that probably some extra costs will be applied because of an extra treatment that will be proposed by JLCPCB to protect some components which are moisture sensitive. The amount should be around 25-30€ for a full set, I will know the price after I will place the order.

I believe the issue is Capitalism at work. They have had too many complaints/claims on these components, causing them to impliment a new step. They are passing the cost to consumers.

Bad new from JLCPCB. Support informed me by mail that one SMT assembly did not pass well and 2 led on one DDI board have been damaged. They suggested me 2 options which are for my opinion, incredible (or in french if someone understand "Du foutage de gueule"), here is the message :

Jeeezes.... I can accept that accidents happen, but that's not the way to handle it for sure. What do they expect you to do with a unpopulated board? They should have said we'll give you the incomplete for free if you want it and make a new one free of charge. If parts availability actually is an issue, they should send the rest when complete and the last one when they got the parts to do it. Free of extra shipping of course. It's like Hey we broke two tires on the car you bought! You can have it anyway without wheels, and we'll give you a coupon on a BigMac, or you can order new tires for us.... Maybe someone should make them aware of the potential for busyness in this project, and maybe we should look for options?

Quick update about the progress of this group buy. Ssgcline/5k33tz/forefire have been delivered. I am still waiting the US group buy package for the L/console PCBs to complete the package of Aniron/Corgy/Icebear. The tracking say that the package is in Poland since 01/02. So it should not be too long

Update : the package have been blocked by Polish customs, they has sent documents to fill so I am working with 5k33tz to fill and send the documents back to the customs. Hope the package will be delivered by the end of this week 👍

Hello guys,
Finally, Polish customs have just sent to me the total amount of tax and duty costs which is 157€, + shipping costs from 5k33tz to me which was 97,72€. So you will have to pay 63.68€ per person (yep, it's quite expensive...). I'm just keep you informed so do not pay me now. Once your package will be ready I will tell you the final price (depending on the extra weight generated by the L/console Pcbs) I hope it won't change anymore.

I'm going to pay the customs today to speed up the delivery and finally, ship your Pcbs as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding and your patience.
