After killing the boss, the chest yielded a robe that's vivid red (picture 1). I put it on and took it off a few times, and it works fine. However, the moment I went into the next zone, I put it back on and now it's sort of a pale off-red (picture 2). There's no way to change it back.
(I've run into this bug with 4 different items now, this is just the first time I was able to grab before and after pictures as it took 3 of them to realize I'm not crazy.)

Default pretty much. It has nothing to do with level / area. My first three encounters with this bug happened in town. I was shopping for red gear and then I noticed two of them changed after closing out and reloading. But wasn't sure until I finally got the red cape I was looking for, and it also went pale. (To clarify, I mean they were vivid red in town, then I closed the game, reloaded, and they became pale red while still in town.)

Curious indeed, Its something I would probably never notice myself since im playing on the steam deck and its a preety small screen size. All I could do is speculate the reason why, post if you manage to spot this again with any other colours/items.

Sure. It's been specifically that color, for all four items, though. I went back through and checked all of the items that were once that color and none of them stay that color 😂
I still need to shop for a couple of other items so when I have gold again I'll shop for another and keep an eye out.

yeah its like the colour id is defined as one but then after a level change/load its not quite the same anymore. Should help the devs narrow down the issue and hopefully in the future we get a new npc who lets us paint gear.
