#Interest check - Valheim Server

Hi there fellow Vikings!

I've been feeling the itch to play Valheim again, I've played before but only up to Mistlands and it was a few years ago.

To make the world feel more alive, I was curious to see if there's anyone else around that feels like starting fresh, from the start with a new character? What I had in mind:

• Would be a dedicated 24/7 server, that I've pre paid for 3 months, meaning at the very least anyone joining will have that time period to play the game guaranteed.
• Vanilla Valheim, aside from the reset dungeon and mining cave mods. This to allow players to access certain early game progression materials easier despite sharing the world.
• Grouping/playing actively with others is optional. If you are a lone wolf, you are welcome aswell. The idea of the server is to make the gameplay feel more alive with other players around, without any other commitments.
• That said, you are mature and civil towards others. No intentional griefing, stealing etc. That'll be a ban. It's a game to unwind from the stress of everyday life. Treat it as such!
• Max number of accepted players will be 10, making sure you'd be guaranteed a slot whenever you want to play.
• Server will be Europe based, in Frankfurt.

Count me interested, i also played before till mistlands and wanna check out the new stuff. Been playing alone a lot but it's getting boring lonely 🥺

I would be very interested in this, my partner and I are looking to get back into Valheim after not playing for a few months. We had reached a point where we were ready to step into Ashlands but didnt make it there before the server fizzled out.
We are both UK based, older and will probably play most evenings/weekends.
We enjoy a really slow play style as we like to build and explore a lot, will there be any kind of lock to progress, player based raids, or are people free to steam ahead if they wish?
Also do you plan to allow any QoL mods at all?

@brisk breach I hadnt planned any other mods no, I wanted to keep it as close to the vanilla experience this run. The two I mentioned was more out of necessity I felt, if others happend to explore into the same area and some would farm out all iron first as an example. Is there any in particular thats a must for you?

@hoary pawn Depends on how many is commited to starting, if Ethereal with partner feels like a more vanilla experience would be okey for them, I could have the server in place tomorrow for instance. I dont tend to drag it out if there's others intrested as Im wanting to play myself! 😅

I deffo still like the game to feel as vanilla as possible, but i do feel like the Plant Easily mod is pretty hard to live without, it just allows crops to be placed in grids, and not one by one. I do also like Plant Everything, mainly for building aesthetics!

I’m also wondering if I could make a suggestion to add the armor slots mod. Valheim has a massive inventory problem, and this mod makes the game much more enjoyable.

Also agree with the comment above me! These mods feel rly vanilla and its hard to go back

@brisk breach and @raven pebble Mm, those are okay with me aswell! Some mods are adding new weapons, buildings etc and that might be fun if one has played alot of Valheim but since it been a few years now since I played I didnt want to confuse myself to much from vanilla 😅

Yeah i completely feel that, I really dont like it when servers have so many mods it doesnt even feel like the same game anymore!

all good i also want it vanilla without new items it was only these particle mods that add QoL that feels better to play with! Tell me when you plan to start the server @digital merlin

As I've had a few that dm'd me aswell, the server would be full if those that expressed interest prior still is intrested. If some of them declines, or doesnt answer I'll get back to you!

There's 8 of us that started out on the server! We're just in the beginings so far, between Eikthyr (1st boss) and the Elder (2nd boss)!

Have two more slots if anyone is intrested?
Server is mainly vanilla, with some basic qol mods that doesnt change the core gameplay.
