I hate to be awkward, but I didn't receive it because I had you blocked for some reason. At some point or another, we must have had a bad interaction.
Shrug I saw our chat history, looked normal enough. Was a number of years ago. Was me helping you get logged into a server.
Either way thought I'd offer. No worries. Good luck!
I can do configs but bepinex logs are always hit or miss for me
Yeah I'm sometimes able to tell the name of the mod causing error/incompatibility, but I can't always tell what that mod is "doing" in the line.
I typically just poke the people in the odin plus discord since they are usually quite helpful
I just got a discord server set up where I can talk shop with people who are interested. Would you like to join?
tbh Im more interested in what mods the server will have, I've been itching for a good magic experience as of late
I'm currently working on curating a good modlist of stuff that I love. Early game, bronze-age magic will certainly be a thing. ❤️ Also will include some kind of creature mod to have faeries and stuff.
oh? that sounds like ready to die, fun times!
if I may make some suggestions, I am quite fond of magic plugin and also valheim legends
epicloot
I have a slightly different approach. Instead of using mods to add magic stuff, I can edit the vanilla items for example I made a fire-axe balanced for the swamps - so I can kill abominations faster, and level-2 fire arrows that unlock after killing Bonemass. I wanted to have in the mountains the staff of frost and maybe another one. All of that and lot more can be done with WackysDB. @tranquil cobalt Warp makes great mods too and has more experience than I do. I'm just a mod user 🙂
That is a matter of taste my friend, and I do not have that taste. lmao, it's fun if you don't mind breaking your brain over configs to try and balance it, but it's not my thing. Thank you for the suggestion, though!
I see warp reply. I upvote. Simple as that. I encourage you to contact him. He's a professional w/a streak of perfectionism.
Already nabbed! I greatly appreciate input from modding veterans, and a mod author? Yeah I've been fortunate with this post.
He's the only mod author/server admin combo I've ever seen do both at the highest levels.
Still looking for more people that are interested in getting a server up and running! In need of trustworthy, mature people that can help me with configs, troubleshooting, and general moderation.
Where would you host the server? How many players do you expect?
Do you have an extra pc that you can use as a server?
I'm going to be using a host site for simplicity, I have one in mind, but I'll check reviews a bit more. As for player count, I don't really care tbh. I'm not looking to be huge and insanely popular; I'm not in competition with anyone here. I just want a nice place to unwind and relax - I want that for others, too. I live in the mountains anyway, so it wouldn't exactly be reliable if I used my own pc, and I'm not rich enough to have a beefy spare lmao
ok so what some of us do is rent a VPS server instead of a game server. It's cheaper and also no limitations. What game-hosting does is: install valheim server, and hook it up with the web-interface and provide customer support. That's it. I personally never needed a web interface on my server, it's easier for me to copy-paste a couple of commands than to move the mouse and click buttons. the simpler the better.
For a valheim server you'd need 2core cpu, 6-8GB ram for vanilla and more if modded, ssd 100GB. You may use a 10y old pc it would work if it has these specs. Valheim server only serves as a relay between the players, it doesn't do anything heavy, except if you have a lot of mods it would use more RAM memory.
I'm sorry, I don't know what a VPS server is, please enlighten me lol
virtual private server. vps is an empty server with preinstalled operating system, usually linux. a virtual machine
it shares hardware resources with other VMs. It's usually good for up to a certain number of players. There's also a dedicated-hardware server where you have all of the hardware available to you but they're more expensive something ~50$ and more.
First mod code has been set up for testing. This is the raw, cultivated picks that I love. We are working through bugs if they come up, and once bugs are dealt with, then comes config management.
I would be interested in joining up if you have room. I am new to mods but know my way around a server
Sure thing! I'll send you an invite in DM, we're just doing the first round of testing for the modpack for right now, and talking some mod replacements
Awesome sounds fun

This looks like a potentially cool server. I've put up a modded Valheim server a couple times but I wouldn't say I'm good at it. I'm just a crazy disabled guy that fixes computers. I also never really made it through ashlands.
I see that you Beta-tested OG WoW, and that makes you a treasure in the gaming community, imo. Thank you for the feedback ❤️ If you're good with maintenance and potentially coding, or if you just wanna see the process, do let me know!
They were using Warcraft 3 Graphics as placeholders at first, that may have just been an alpha test I saw footage of though, been so long that it all blurs together. I never really learned to code but I'm ocd enough to help with maintenance.

PSA: Google cloud files are typically not dangerous, and are COMMONLY USED for free discord-users like myself, to share modlists. Just a heads up. I do not appreciate being accused of potentially providing an unsafe link for people. I'm not stupid. I don't do that crap. Rant over ❤️
Switched over to Gale mod manager, and it allows for larger file size codes and files, and formats it in a discord-friendly size. File size is no longer an issue.
Good morning bump 🌻
Bump!
I'm looking for lightly modded server, play usually around this time
We spoke already, but I'm replying here for others to see; thank you again for your interest! But yeah, it's a hefty modpack currently sitting at 94 mods lmao Of course, I will be splitting the modpack for players once I get a server set up, to help lighten the load on people. However, it still wouldn't be considered "lightly modded".
Bump 💯
