The server is officially shut down.

I am dishearted that a known griefer was allowed back onto my server, by my own trusted admin, witout my consent. I may have gotten this whole thing mistaken, that it may not have been who i think it was that did the stealing.

Yet stealing happened by the one who caused this grief (griefer).

The facts are this:

  • After our recent griefer attack, measures were put in place that required people to give their steam id in order to get into the server. That means all 13 members on our server were registered onto the allowed-entry list, and the others on the server will not be able to get in, as they didn't give me their steam ids.
  • 5 Days ago Lilheim was made.
  • 4 days ago a new member was invited with a known track record of being banned on other peoples servers.
  • 2 days later things start going missing in peoples bases.
  • An investigation was made and clues pointed to a certain individual....unless i am mistaken and someone else i had trusted on the server was the true thief,,,,this certain individual certainly griefed on my server.
  • the individual was promptly kicked off the server, then without my knowing, he was allowed back in.
  • If i did accuse the wrong person, then the real thief ought to come out and confess, as is the right thing. But no one stepped up.
  • You guys only care about your own damn play time and not the well being of the server. You condone thievery, which is griefing, and as is the rules on THE OUTPOST signboard, it says...no griefing. You are all complicent in griefing, by allowing the griefer to come back into the fold. Even if i accused the wrong person, where was the real griefer then?

If you don't stand for something, you fall for everything. I thought you were the family i was looking for, but i was wrong.

Jin.. i think that shutting down the server was a terrible thing to do. We all really loved playing there, and now i don't know where my friends are.
I dont know why you think we are complicit in the griefing. You shut down the world when he wasn't even online so that the rest of us couldn't enjoy our time together which only punished the wrong people. And i thought you were getting something that would tell you who it was, so i don't know why this was necessary :(

I have not deleted the server, i had just shut it down.

I know who did the stealing, and all the facts are apparent. I know its had nothing to do with Joat, Grim or Lily.

Valheim net adventure was a gift to my owner friend in his 60s who runs an internet gaming cafe in my city. He asked me why i deleted the server, and i told him of my troubles with hosting servers on Valheim.

All i wished for is to have some decent people to play with, but in all three tries running a server, i ended up getting griefed on hardcore (on my first server CHILL REALM VIKINGS, i had a group of people who was invited by another person, who then did a lot of things behind my back on that beautiful beautiful server, i ended up kicking about 5 people off that group).

The second server was my first first no map no portal run through, called BATTLE-BREAD VIKINGS. It was a small band of 5 players from the first group. We agreed that we wanted to try a no map, no portal run through, but it turns out they were all just in it for themselves. We made a pact that we would play together, do things together, start together, look out for one another....at the end....because of my working hours, they ended up doing things and leaving me behind.

So i thought, let me try one last time to do a third server, no map, no portals. Mr Bungles had been with me since the first server started. But i would never had thought, in the time when we had our a known thief who had been banned on 2 other servers for stealing, would be invited onto VALHEIM NET ADVENTURE without my agreement.

The damage was then done, and Mr Bungles had re-allowed the thief to come back in. After the recent 5 man griefer attack, and my experience in trying to run a server just to get decent players to play with, and being back stabbed again....how do you think i feel?

I know i'm responsible for the server, but i just get the feeling that people don't care at all for anything other than their play time.

why am i paying money, for a server i rarely get to play on, waking up every day with only 2 hrs free time before i must work, only to deal with complaints, griefing, and other attacks. I come home tired than hell, only have maybe 2 hrs free time to play...i don't get to play at all.

A lot of the old members have been spamming the crap outta me...saying i'm the bad guy.

How am i the bad guy, when i have been trying my best to deter the thief from doing his thing, i had offered my solutions, but nobody cared enough to read the discord....all you did was play when the thieving happend, i had hoped that we all band together to sort this out together....but no....

Valheim is a beautiful community and we need more people who care.

I am willing to reopen the server, because i know you guys love the project as much as i do. But if so, we must work together properly. To not just treat it as a server you log on to to play with your friends, but to treat it as a project of passion

if this can be achieved, i am willing to pay for the hosting, and allow good people like yourselves to play, knowing you will do the playstyle justice. I will even be at ease to let you three run the server how you see fit, it's your blank canvas

but i you do not understand my position, my limited time and energy....i don't have to do any of this...nor fork out money....but i do it because of hope that i may find some decent people to play with....then you might as well paint me as the bad guy and keep steppin.

But if you do understand my position, then reach out to me, and we can come to a good conclusion. If you guys promise that you will be the custodian of VALHEIM NET ADVENTURE, that you will look after it as your own passion project, then i am willing to entrust it to you.

If not, i will find other custodians.

I'm just curious about if you had mods to secure the server or not?
without mods or admins 24/7 it's impossible to maintain safety.

the admin we had (as i am not saavy with these things) recommended me to not have server side mods, as it will deter those from entering the server....

you may pm me for tech help free of charge.
If you have to have crossplay, it will be difficult.
xbox-only server would be easier
and pc-only server would be the easiest to secure.

I have had to let a good admin who i considered a brotha go. His name is Mr Bungles, of the hubheim project. He is one of the best technicians of Valheim. But what he did was not honourable.

What the entire server did and the dicussion they had behind my back was not honourable.

If that's true that's bad. I personally don't know him never had contact with him or his project.
I run a server for u couple of friends and we're done now I'm taking break and figuring out some mods and configs.

Here i declare. I am still looking for custodians of this my project of love. I am on the verge of deleting the entire thing and locking this venture off to the ages. But if someone can convince me that there are players who actually actively care....and are mature enough to take this project as their own labour of love, then...i am very willing to keep it alive

Brave kyrios gaming is open for you. And any 25+ age members that you are willing to bring. All members will get a interviewed to see if the fit into the community. What you are trying to create. We have. With that said. If you wanna do your own thing. Dont explode or close a server when things get tough. Everyday is a tough day for a community owner. You don't get anything back for it. But your members are putting effort in your server aswell. With that click of a button. You take away something that the create. Because of this you leave a mark. You are in the wrong for that. If you need help setting up your server. I got you. I will tell you all the tools, tricks, and introducé you to the people. 👊skol

Kyrios, i remained in honour by leaving the world files for them to download.

On the starting area, on the sign board that we set up, it clearly says, no griefing. It was agreed by all. Yet nobody upheld the code when the trouble came. I'm the bad guy?

I am an older gamer now and i do not take kindly to being taken advantage of. I do not condone negative behaviour, nor do i respect passive behaviour in the face of something wrong.
