yeah, no portals definitely makes the game harder. In my experience, however, portals also rob you of so much content that the game has to offer. Being able to simply portal back to base when you lose your rested buff, or when it is night time and you're caught in a dangerous place, for example. Not to mention all the travel and need for accurate navigation that occurs when you take portals away.
It's not for everyone, especially not the faint of heart - but for those up for the challenge, it really does provide the most immersive experience possible

I completely understand, but I hate to travel on the ocean when I don't have a fang bow or above in hardcore mode because I attract serps honestly.

I'm a troll/raid magnet there isn't a day that goes by that I don't battle something that will always kill me.
You'd literally lose more bronze/iron to me building a boat than anything else. But I hope someone accepts your offer.

The short speech; I don't really care how you two play the game, so long as you don't make it suck for the others. Can you tell me more please. How many are actually active on this server? Is it individual types and you only get together to do the bosses or are y'all together with everything?

We kill bossss together, and we have a shared base. However everyone is free to make their own base..like me myself i got mine in the mountains.. someone made it in the plains. Honestly its up to you

I have a dedicated server, not sure what you mean about mods, but the server is set up as combat (easy), Death penalty (hard- lose everything but what you have equipped, Resource gathering (3X), Raid's are set (more often), Portals(items added), Player based raids for groups/ solo endeavor's. Just hit me up if your interested, its new server I'm currently at 2nd boss, will not leave info at random for do not want a lot of people on server, but would like few people to play with, Server is us west/central.
