the server is indeed active! and growing too!
On a daily basis- I have seen anywhere from 1 to 7 people on at a time. There are people from all across the world that join on, and we have a Valheim Voice channel that can be joined in on when playing the game to hangout with the other Valheim members

our server is mostly based on TTRPGs with Valheim being a 2ndary focus thus our resources for time are geared more towards TTRPGs with the Valheim server being a fun actviity those in our community can go and take part in. The game pace is slower than average, we have some roleplay with factions, and we also have guidelines on portaling, where to build, and include the members of the Valheim server in discussions for making decisions and what direction to take the game.

If you want a smaller scale experience playing the game along with others of the same mindset to have fun and go slow, then it will be a good spot for ya. its small and cozy

We have a bunch of new people that joined in the last week starting to get their footholding in the world of Valheim! Now is a great time to join while so many new vikings are starting out in the world.

**HOW TO JOIN **

Join the server via the link below
Agree to the server rules
complete the 2nd verification at the top of the server - Sword Smite
Look for the Valheim Forums under the events and games category to start reading the server rules.
Send a message in the general chatting you are in the server for Valheim (VERY IMPORTANT- we are primarily a server for TTRPGs, so please let us know you are there for Valheim)
Paladin is the person that is meeting with people 1:1 to answer questions and get whitelisted into the server. Currently Paladin is only able to whitelist between the hours of 5-10PM CST M-F and on the weekends

Im very proud to say that we have achieved optimal comfy status! 😄 We have the voice channels setup, joining is easy, and we got people hopping in and out of the voice channel and game regularly enough now that you have a high chance of not playing alone!

We are almost to the point of expanding player slots from 10 to 15. Once we hit 35 players (10 more)- we will expand the server availability for amount of players that can be on at one time.

Still plenty room for new members too! We are going to maintain keeping the server small though, so as not to overpopulate. So if you want a small server that isn't over run with hundreds to thousands of players with no room to build- and want to have genuine connections with others while** ~~struggling~~ **having fun in Valheim- we gotchu!

We have looked at our server and reached a consensus of how many players we can have. With that- these are the changes that we have made for whitelisting and how many players we can have in the server.

A SERVER FOR PEOPLE THAT WANT TO PLAY WITH PEOPLE, AND ALSO PLAY IT SLOOOOOOOOOOOOW

There is not a lot of room on the server for players due to limited space and limited resources, and there is an upper limit to how many players can be active in the server at one time. As thus, we have reached a conclusion that we can handle having 20 active players in the server at a time. The server is made for people that want to play together, and play with others in a slow and collaborative way- adventuring together, building cities together, hanging out in voice channel while playing, participating in polls and discussion for what to do next.

We want to play with and invite others that would enjoy a small, cozy, friendly experience playing with others and having fun with the game as it is.

To that end, we have made some new guidelines regarding whitelisting which I will put here so that new members can understand our new approach to whitelisting and player activity.

New Dynamic Whitelisting Player Guidelines

[INACTIVE]
Players that are thus inactive (not playing at least once every two weeks) will be removed from the whitelist, but can be added back so long as another player has not taken their space. Their house and home will not be reserved and anyone can take resources from it and/or move into it.

[PLAYING ALONE]

If a player isn't making conscious or notable efforts to play with others in the community by coming into the voice channel to play with each other, working on community builds, adventuring together, trading, joining a clan, and has not made any steps to work with others, then the player will be removed and added to a blacklist. Additionally, players that join together as a group (such as joining with a friend or two) do not count as playing with others in this case. If going off to another continent to live alone, that is fine, but do try to create a city to connect that continent to the rest of the server. If such efforts are noted to be lacking within 7 days of joining the server, the player(s) will be added to a blacklist.

A lot of us are newer to the game and older- youngest is me at 30, oldest 55. We play slow, are VERY active - between 3-9 players on at a time, and we have a voice channel to hangout and play together.

If you are new to the game and wanting a small world that is interactive, focussed on collaboration, and rocking out to 80s songs while laughing your ass off at someone trying to take a troll down naked- then we are for you!

What we are looking for:

People that are interested in playing with others collaboratively.
Friendly, active, and wanting to play with others and don't mind going slow.
Interested in building cities, roads, bridges, and dont mind portal limitations.

What we are not looking for:
Solo play- never interacting or making an effort to play with the others in-game or even joining the voice channel when playing.

negative or very critical people that give bad vibes

COMMUNITY AND POSITIVITY

We play together. That means we hang out in the voice channels, build with each other, go on adventures together, and help each other out. We are respectful and do our best to create our own fun using Valheim's mechanics and sandbox system

VANILLA - no client mods

We can support up to 20 players online at a time with server side mods only; however, the game itself is entirely Vanilla.

Clans and Clan Events

We are at the start of a new era of our dedicated server- we are adding more people on and separating ourselves into groups of people called Clans. These clans can partake in competitions, roleplay, and adventures to enrich our valheim playing experience!

Dynamic Progression and Limited Server Resource Management

Game progression is self-limiting meaning that in order to progress through the game's various stages, you do need to have defeated bosses yourself to gain access to specific materials. Due to the limiations of certain resources, we have a centralized trading area in which players can trade at; however, you can only trade for certain resources based on which bosses you defeated. We have a trophy case area in which you can hang your heads for all to see to keep track of what you have defeated and what you can trade for. Resources like iron and bees are limited in the world thus we do raid worlds where we go to a brand new world as a group to get resources to bring back to our main world, and we have a market trading center to trade for these items from should you need them.

Who are we looking for vs not looking for

We accept people from brand new to the game to extreme veterans (with thousands of hours). We are ultimately looking for three things.

Playing with others. You would be surprised how many people we have seen through our doors that do not want this genuinely. For new players, if you want to experience the game a bit before playing with others, then we recommend you do a solo world. For veteran players, if you are solely focused on building and making things look nice and dont care so much about playing with others, genuinely- to the point you are just always busy with your own projects- do not join. We are very serious about only having people around that genuinely want and will make efforts to play with others.
Positive and friendly. Similarly, we do not want people around that are going to complain about everything, get exasperated, have a temper, and be unfriendly. We only want positive minded individuals that are around to have a good time and have fun and cooperate- not destroy.

Game progression is self-limiting meaning that in order to progress through the game's various stages, you do need to have defeated bosses yourself to gain access to specific materials. Due to the limiations of certain resources, we have a centralized trading area in which players can trade at; however, you can only trade for certain resources based on which bosses you defeated. We have a trophy case area in which you can hang your heads for all to see to keep track of what you have defeated and what you can trade for. Resources like iron and bees are limited in the world thus we do raid worlds where we go to a brand new world as a group to get resources to bring back to our main world, and we have a market trading center to trade for these items from should you need them.

Collaborative Multiplayer VS Parallel Multiplayer

We like to go S L O W, and we like to hangout in the VC and goof around A LOT! We are collaborative multiplayers- that means we are not only playing the same game, we have immense effort and energy going into playing together VS playing the same game and playing side by side with less interaction. Players still have their own homes, but players are living in player villages or player cities with a lot of focus on their clan and interacting with the events and each other in the VC. Parallel players have a lot more distance between their houses, do bosses alone, and build alone- this is a valid way to play the game but it is not how we are playing
