you got unlucky with mob spawns. Sometimes you get an army sometimes it's a couple mobs, build another boat and try again

Still trying to figure out what causes severe frame rate drops even on minimum settings. Rtx3070, it will go from 100 fps to a slide show regardless of where we are in the map. Multi-player or singleplayer. A friend with a similar computer also experiences these performance issues.

Well it can be the amount of items on the ground. Try using an obliterater or trash items mod if you're using one

The sword secondary is better than kicking as long as you aim well and aren't so close you stab through multiple plants, but I find it easier to plant the carrots just over a meter apart and offset from the next row, that way you still get a nice uniform look and you waste less crops.

While you are passing through the portal, enemies may break the portal at the last moment and you may pass from the portal to the other end and not be able to return to the broken end.

no to be honest you can put the portal even in a very dangerous area as long as you be sure about using the portal there is no enemy following you chances are too love to it got destroyed

for example i have putten portals in random places in every single biome but only twice my portals got destroyed in my 1300 hours play time

1 of the time was in the last biome i was trying to protect the portal it got broken and i died and second time i was running from the 2 star wolf in mountains he killed me and in seconds before area disrendered he breake the portal

so its just so unlikely but definitly posible

I imagine they mean learning to undestand everything you need to in order to survive. So combat mechanics, the value of running and jumping, use of meads to lessen things like poison, and so on.

They're quite neat: chest and leg pieces grant much more armor than Fenris pieces (||16 vs 24 at quality 4||) and won't slow you down.

swamp only can spawn a bit far than center

plains and mistlands more far away than the center than spawn

Black Forest can be found all the way out to the edges of the maps, to the East and West. So its the most prevalent biome. Its also why Haldor can be so hard to find, at times.

Just sail a bit away from spawn towards outside and you’ll see swamp trees look very different

There is one trick to make the swamp base safe, which could be a tiny bit spoilery if I tell you exactly how to do it , I have built more than 12 swamp bases

2 biomes you haven’t done can be very long due to needed lots of their resources and also depending on RNG a bit how you find things, one biome that is not that long for some except for people that love to build there will take longer if you want to get the building resources, and that biome boss is imho the hardest thing to find solo. 7th biome can be long or people quit if they are bad at fighting, meadows is very short biome, you’re maybe 10%

The ground might not be level. It's based on how many pieces from the ground it is. See if that side is lower down

Or maybe it's not connecting somewhere on that side. Use the hammer to check the colors of each piece, go around the outside until you see where it's different

A lot of people will dig steep trenches instead of walls but I think walls look so much better

If you do dig a trench, first dig directly down in 1 spot to see the direction of the square hole, then dig your trench out like a grid so the walls are flat

All preference. Personally I’m a big fan of the claws. Their secondary attack is also very underrated

Theyre random. Whenever you kill a boss, the boss of the next biome can send raids at you. It’s something like the game checks every 46ish minutes if you’re at your base, and if you are there’s a 20% chance of a raid

Pretty new player here, just started crafting things with bronze.... After meadows and dark forrest, which biom would I best go to next? I've seen people suggest swamps, are they always to the south of the starting island? And should I build an actual ship first before going there?

Yes swamp is third biome, have you killed first 2 bosses already and improved your food? Swamps are usually a little farther away from the center (spawn) of the map, direction is random not south, also Raft is mostly for emergencies where you HAVE TO go somewhere you can't swim, I would make the next ship after this for serious trips.

Swamp biome is also a bit of a step up from the previous 2, beware! You should have upgraded a bit in the Black Forest, better armour and such. Also for the swamp for new players its usually recommended to sail around where you find a meadows or Black forest to land, and make landfall there, instead of docking in the actual swamp, this is safer, you can also make a little respawn hut there or "spoilery fast travel you should have unlocked by now"

Skipping bosses and exploring some biomes ahead is more dangerous and might lead to some frustration depending how "skilled" you are in fighting and evading and things, not ingame skills but actual human player skill.

Bronze Armour set is valid choice for new players and for people who want to increase their armour rating to as high as possible in the Black Forest

Hey folks I have an interesting conundrum here- my wife and I took a break from Valheim for a few months following the Call to Arms patch and are ready to take on The Queen for the first time! Unfortunately, we are having trouble locating her. We are using the one map viewer online to locate her, as we’ve plundered many Mistlands with no luck in finding a Vegvisir. We went to a location that apparently should be her dungeon but it was not where the map indicated she should be. The world was generated before the new patch, which I’m aware can change locations up a bit.

Is there a specific console command to spawn in a vegvisir for me to touch and get the location of? I was reading up on these little cheats and, while apparently “BossStone_TheQueen” may well be the right one, some people online say that it just makes another spawn area and not a vegvisir. Any help would be appreciated… I can’t believe I’m saying this, but, we’d Ike to go to the Ashlands now. LOL

for example you have 10 empty slots in your inventory when you interact with tomb stone and tombstone have only 3 items in it you get them to you inventory instantly and you gonna get a buff named (Corpse Run)
