I tested: they don't target all of them with one type trophy. So base fuling trophy won't activate it to shoot berserkers or shamans and vise versa.

Some use doors in front of the ballistae, so it can be held shut and it won't shoot you, but opening doors let it shoot enemies.

Like real life, if you're utilizing it, it's recommended to create a pathway for the cart.

they take a little practice, often i run with an axe out to chop bushes as i go if i dont already have a path. go a direction you dont have to go very uphill. theyre very worth if it you have a completely full cart of wood or ore

Cliffside is the easiest place to path to, the terrain will shift quicker with just one pickaxe strike.

You just need to determine if that effort will pay off, and if you should create a path for the amount of silver on the mountain.

If you're playing with portals I found the easiest way to avoid a cart is to set up 2 portals that go to the vein and to the spot u want it. Make some troll meads, run the ore down, tp back up, repeat. Imo this is lamer than pulling a cart full of silver down a mountain at night on two foods bc uve been out for a while and having to kill the wolves that gank you

And a 10 stack of fish allows you to craft 5 meads so 30 endurance potions... hardly a grind. I really only use them when building and ore mining

Girll no!!!! Once you get the gear for each biome everything is doable. You have to at least do Mistlands, it's so much fun. And beautiful. And the feather cape! Don't leave without the feather cape!! It is tough, but by the time you get there and mess around a bit, die a bit, you'll get a foothold in. And you'll learn the rhythm of it, it won't feel nearly as hard anymore. You'll be where you should. The game is not at all impossible to do

The duration of frost effect depends on the amount of frost damage and the max HP of the target. If the target is wet and not resistant to frost then they take more damage from the damage.

84 armor when using fully upgraded Vilebone chest, loincloth and Padded helmet plus cape, vs. 52 with full Fenris and cape.

Sure, Fenris has +9% to movement speed, but no movement speed penalty from Vilebone armor and significantly higher armor is very nice too.

Fair. In that case, build a roof ramp going down into the water that you can move underneath of, it allows you to then be under the water and you’ll need to figure out then how to build it close to the rocks you want to pickaxe away, When ur feet touch the bottom. You can also build easier under water this way too, so long as u get good at ur camera angles.

Be prepared for a bit of pain and suffering until you figure out the best way to build it etc

Yeah you can stand in a cart and literally “walk” it around in the water, which is more camera friendly and building friendly.

Other than that, wait for a storm and stand in the water until it all gets sucked away to form a wave, this gives you about 5-10seconds to go mad with a pickaxe.

its tempting to say “i need wood” and making a portal to go 100 meters to the trees you plants next to your base and putting a portal next to a chest labeled wood and just having your existence consist of portal loading screens. i know its slower but id much rather drag a cart and make a path and little railings or lights or whatever to where i have trees or ore smelting or what not. with no restrictions theres no need to even build a real base just portal to a spot with furnaces smelting, portal back to a workbench, portal to storage, portal to your farm, portal back to your smelters, portal home, yay portal loading screens

and yeah you’ll win the game more faster, woohoo

server host services do very often give you super underpowered servers and kind of are not exactly fully truthful in their package descriptions unfortunately. dealt with many different providers for many games for a long time. now i just host on my own server machine

Haha yeah I enjoy making stone tree houses in a way that they don’t require ironwood supports but cleverly sticking them into trees to make it all float, there are usually a few forever trees close to each other that you can “stick” stone into and then stone stays put when you wedge stone between other blue stone etc.
use grid snapping along the ground to bring them up in the right places so you can easily drop stone into between later.
You end up with so much stone anyways or there is usually a plains somewhere near that you can knock out a stone pillar for some more.

I just got a troll raid of one of my outlying bases, which isn't prepared for something like that.
There was pretty much no loot left there. So I just left.
I know the raid won't end till I go there are deal with it.

yeah, that can be tricky. i always make sure i have a lvl 3 bronze buckler before beating elder for when that raid happens. when i see a tree troll spawn i beeline and kill it first cuz the unarmed trolls just get stuck behind each other and u can 1v1 them easily

You can also run around and kite them until the raid is over, only 3 max spawn at any one time.

You are right, it's a little hard time it to take one attack and dodge the other but its possible. That thing makes the ||trollstav|| the only thing could damage you even with the shield bubble active, right?

the trollstav only damages you through the shield because of the pure damage type
fall damage, damage over time ticks, fader spawning, drowning, explosive payload and unstable lava rocks are the first other sources I can think of

for the damage over time ticks they'll need to be applied before the shield
