rotund parrot
#

Even if it was, or let's just say that it is, the sneak level change nothing to the damage you would do if you sneak up on an enemy

It changes your detection radius with audio and visual

You can move freely through more dangerous areas easier.

rotund parrot
#

I have never seen someone move in an area while sneaking, it is so painfully slow

#

Level 6 sneak which takes like 3 minutes of sneaking total in 300 hours is about right

#

I'd say average

chrome badge
#

It's not that slow tbh, but I am never in a big hurry anyways.

dim trellis
#

sneak is neat but im bad so they spot me anyway

#

thre should be a boating skill i spend tons of time in a boat

rotund parrot
#

Even if you think sneak is important and actually use it, just take a few minutes to level it a few levels to where it's higher than what you'd get with the troll set and just get the extra armor instead until you have extra troll hide

dim trellis
#

if you're not getting hit then the "extra armor" isnt useful, and anyway it often comes at the cost of movement speed, so

#

maybe Evo wears heavy and also doesnt sneak which would then actually make sense

chrome badge
#

Yeah that makes little sense, if the goal is making sneaking better, train and use the troll set.

Just had a crazy fight with Moder on this playthrough.

Had TWO golem adds, and they ended up destroying my portal home, so I couldn't retreat back to base.

Ended up relocating to a different part of the mountain to get away from the golems, taking out wolf and drake adds the whole way.

Fight took longer than 20 minutes, and my rested bonus ran out. Used all of my health and stamina meads, 1/3 durability of the Draugr Fang, and 4/5 durability of the fang spear.

Finally beat Moder in the middle of the night.

Most satisfying boss fight I've ever had. Was shaking afterwards

I'm curious about stanima meads. Do the medium/major meads give you a stnaima boost over a quick period of time or do they all just fill up your bar once? Bc for me it takes too much time to open my inventory and select the stanima mead and drink it when kinda just walking would get my bar full as fast. I only see any point in using them if the bigger ones fill up your bar continously for like at least 10 seconds

Stamina meads will regen the available pool, not increase how much is available. That would make stamina foods less important.

Obsidian arrows are better. Most mobs/bosses have poison resist.

You may want a melee option as well for the 4th boss. Depending on how comfortable you are with dodging, that can net you the most DPS

I’d argue this game is centered on three concepts

  1. Base Building

There are settings for base building, there are settings for combat, there are practically no settings for travel.

Just because you enjoy it doesn’t mean it’s not a dealbreaker for others.

Whatever idk im not arguing weather or not you personally need it. Im arguing for further customizing how you want to play the game, especially since time and time again friends ditch the game for being too punishing even with death penalties minimum and portals everywhere.

I don't think I have had the same problem with dying tho cos I play with a duo

That’s not up to you or me. That’s up to the player. You can list a thousand strategies to avoid dying and losing progress, but all I ask is a lower death penalty for those who really don’t want to have one. Yes it’s weak and pussy like, but a lot of people want that kind of treatment.

polar mulch

That's how the game is designed tho

It's ok. I'm not against it. It's just not necessary IMHO.

polar mulch

you can adjust the game difficulty to your liking, just do it5

That's what sandbox is for right?

strange cradle

I would argue, that if you think that next biome mobs are so difficult that they will one-shot you with proper equipment and food, that you really haven't understood how the game is played. And that you want to abuse a "no-drop" setting to avoid having to learn how the game works.

pliant hatch
# strange cradle Because you NEVER should encounter 10 seekers.

Yes you can when you enter an explored infested mine at least 4 hours after you have cleaned it out. As everything respawns after that point.

Then there are the Dvergr excavation sites where more seekers could gather because of the fighting sounds.

So it's possible, but usually it's due to player influence.

strange cradle
#

Seeker soldiers ARE very tough.

strange cradle
#

So usually, you don't have to fight them at once. That would be "bad(tm)".

pliant hatch
#

Not unless you lure them there.

Mistlands is a huge step up coming from the plains. I won't argue that.

The Mistlands is just the absolute opposite on how you played the Plains.

pliant hatch

And that's usually the problem players can't cope with.

They're used to run along and being able to see the monsters from far away.
And all the sudden they have to adjust to walking, low visibilty and using other senses to know when they're under attack.

But instead of adjusting, they keep acting as if they're in one of the previous biomes and then complain about the Mistlands being so "harsh".

If the troll can see you it will attack you and not the base

#

Dig a pit and cover it with wooden floor. When the troll attacks lead it to the pit and destroy the floor so it falls in. Now you're free to practice archery until the troll leaves

Afraid I have a crazy schedule. Just got off. Probably won't be able to play again for another couple weeks.

#

Had a similar issue with onion seeds, though. Had to scour three mountain biomes

#

Bear trophy has been nuts as well. Still haven't found one

Say what you will, RNG is the hardest boss in Valheim

I wonder, was Vile design in any way inspired by shadowbeasts from Gothic series? Because I can kinda see the resemblance

Should Fader, as the final boss, deal less damage than Yagluth? My friends and I just finished the game. But we're terribly disappointed after the fight with Fader. We felt like he wasn't dealing any damage. (We don't play with additional mods.) Does anyone know if this will be changed?

my first attempt with my friends we died like 15 times each lol

We didn't die once, and the boss didn't deal any damage. The creatures in the biome dealt more damage than he did.

near furnace
#

you can change all aperance with a kit from one of the ingame traders

#

and if you want to swap gender, there is a developer command for that

near furnace
#

the aperance is hair, hair color etc
