You dont need a floor, the only thing you need to do is cover the workbench preperably in a shelter or your base and put a roof above

My first needle-hunt ever went terribly wrong, the amount of tombstones at that house was ridiculous.

sounds like #mods-issues to me, you could uninstall them and play without to test if its that, I have not heard of this being a Vanilla game issue, don't know what the code means though znetscene especially which is meantioned a lot, maybe someone will come along that knows more than me

Yeah it was the smoothsave mod, not sure why there wasn't a HUGE warning that it's for dedicated servers only... (says "only required for server" in the minimal text that is even there)

Please, for the love of Odin, play the game at least ONCE without mods, before you start screwing with it. Mods are definitely not needed to enjoy the game at least once in its vanilla form, and - as you have experienced - they can lead to unpleasant experiences which can give you a false impression about the real state of the game. You didn't build them, the rules may not allow to grow grapes on structures you didn't build.

I just search on the wiki about raids, so the charred raid has two activations, 1. Queen is defeated 2. When you establish a base in or near ashlands, so as long as you dont built a base in ashlands you will not get the charred raids in your meadows base or any base in any biomes?

You can have a base in Ashlands, the raid will only activate if the queen has been killed and near base structures in the Ashlands. Meaning if you have a base there, that won't result in that raid happening in the Meadows. It can only happen within the Ashlands.

Consider giving a try to Embla chest plus leggings, Flametal helmet and Ashen cape. Helmet and cape grants lots of armor, helmet doesn't slow you down and those Embla pieces grant more eitr regen than hood.

Yagluth is very manageable with proper preparation. You don't need any cheese, but good gear, good food, fire protection and determination.

Even with not so high skill levels the fight should be done in less than 10 minutes.

I fought him with lvl 3 BM armor and round shield and a lvl 3 silver sword.

No running, no dodge-rolling.

The Queen... is the worst boss. I hate her with a passion. 😉

Yagluth is easy, you can beat him in 5 mins or less once you know what preparations to make and how to fight him. When he does his right arm attack where he does the huge area of effect damage, you can stand close to him and dodge roll when he slams his arm down and you will take half the damage. It lets you stand in close to him and do the most damage you can before his next attack

Use the smallest flooring piece, then after you get the wood chests on them, you can remove the one closest to you. So 2 per chest, though with multiple chests you can get more onto one.

You can attach those pieces to walls, or use posts.
