idk tbh its a server hosted vai bisect hosting
Well, the seed should be visible to you.
Exception for some weapons tho: Krom, Demolisher and Skull Splittur require quite a lot of iron.
WHERE
Ah... sorry, might not... I usually don't play on servers...
Almost like 100 iron each for full upgrade on those weapons
Luckily mistlands supplies you with a good amount of iron
Canโt wait for all Deep North weapons to be crafted from iron
Without a doubt, iron will be needed in deep north
Yeah, can't see it when you join servers.
i've already farmed up a BM chest full in preparation ๐
Ashlands cut the spiral of needing iron for crafting Ashlands tier gear tho.
If its ok to ask, how many crypts did you conquer to fill up the blackmetal chest? ๐
i didn't count. A lot though.
i average about 3-4 stacks per crypt so probably around a dozen
Then if you are using the longship which has 18 storage then if you manage to board the cart in there, you are like taking home 36 stocks of iron
i'm already at ashlands so i just used a stone portal. I also didn't do them all at once, just one at a time every couple ingame days.
For my initial swamp playthrough i usually just farm one longship full, craft the pickaxe and mace and keep the rest for later.
Yeah just craft the only useful stuff that needs iron
When i got my first batches of iron the first time i reach swamp, i did like crafted most of the iron and upgraded them to level 3 and oh boy that was a mistake ๐
Wasted like, lets just say 500+ of iron to upgrade those
I've started just crafting a battleaxe in swamp, then skipping all other iron weapons/shields/armor
Maybe I'll make a spear to start mountains with
Nowadays one of the first items I craft from iron is battleaxe. It's so good in swamps.

Honestly so goated against aboms
Assuming like qual 3 and some decent skill lvls can staggerlock
|| and also a great tree chopper ||
Even 1 or 2 quality can quite easily.
huge news
But usually upgrade to 3 and use it until I craft fully upgraded CBA.

Sword against bonemass ๐ค
I donโt usually make CBA
Donโt find enough good use for it in mountains
It's badass to use against Moder. Also against Yagluth and for hunting viles.
how much spirit does it do?
30 at all quality levels.
respectable amount
Yeah, only silver sword exceeds it with 45 spirit at quality 4. ๐
Is there a creative mode?
sorta with debugmode
World modifiers have passive enemy and no building material cost as available options.
My carve just got rekt mid-ocean in a storm. I didn't know that could happen. ๐ฎ
Haven't killed my first boss yet. Accidently wandered into the mountains, and the skeletons there taught me to block and parry a bit.
Much more dangerous things on the mountain to worry about. ๐
Oh, I have no doubt. I would have turned back as soon as I saw the snow, but there was a stone tower right there that might have treasure in it.
It didn't.
honestly I completely forgot about those two
Those wolves are very hungry.
New to the game SaltSong or a non-first playthrough?
Yeah, although they don't offer similar "creative mode" as some other games as you still need to pick materials to get the building recipes.
But one can just go and pick them since enemies won't attack.
anyone know a mod like AzuAntiCheat so i can enforce spacific mods only?
level 3 flint spear and wooden shield. Troll pants, leather shirt, level 2 deer cape. Gonna go visit the first boss. Wish me luck.
You could ask in https://discord.com/channels/391142601740517377/1202934289898151966 ๐
Are early axes guaranteed in every world?
Unless you're incredibly unlucky they should be
even in an old world?
as long as you have a semi reasonable amount of unexplored meadows left in your world yea
In unexplored areas they can be found in old worlds.
What's the best ax for chopping wood?
The highest chop damage would be quality 3 Berserkir axes.
I somehow never realised we could upgrade flametal weapon further if not modified with gems
But where's the fun in that?
I find it kinda funny
Makes sense
Well just to get durability to chop wood but then again it doesn't kill mobs around with lightning
Or perma stun a specific mini boss cough
For that boss on my very hard playthrough I just made a level 1 wild staff with level 1 magic, didn't even use the magic armor, just ate pukeberries at the entrance, 3 eitr food, didn't even use a protection staff, kept it in the corner with vines the whole time and I was not worried in the slightest at any time
I hate that staff
I hate that I abused it
I mean you can do the same thing with a green flametal mace so ๐ค
Just go golf swinging lol
Yep, I prefer to leave my weapons un enchanted for the most part. Able to get my weapons to quality 3
didn't want to go anywhere near the thing
More of a melee enjoyer myself as well
what do u guys think is the strongest melle weapon type
Knifes if the Ashlands had one
I might just defeat Ashlands content with non enchanted weapons next time.
i was litteraly just thinking that aswell
do u do the 5 atack combo tech or no
Nah
I think for the first 2 third of the game knife is, then sword but an argument can probably be made for axes since they are very good lategame now on medium difficulty at least
i think frostner is rly good to until u get the mistwalker
no atgeir enjoyers?
Kinda wanted another atgeir too
Atgeir one of the strongest just for the secondary attack.
Ngl, the range and damage of the bm one makes the Plains a cakewalk after you get it
did u guys know that u can do the secondary atack of early axes or berserkir without using stam
for movement
Feather cape and dual axe secondary flying combo? Yeah.
Oh, I remember seeing something like that
Ah.
That's when you just fenris, ask cape, ratatosk, nimble amulet, and just zip through everything with a skull and Hati
I tested this a while ago and couldn't find it to be better
how many attemps did u do
it also depends on how much you can slide if that makes sense
it could be tied to framerate
idk it was when ashlands came out
Is there an actual system behind, where the game puts items in containers? Seems like gear goes in the first slots and other things into the last slots of a container?
He wasn't so bad.
they need to add mistlands fists that do frost
Depending on item type/group there are different sorting patterns i believe, and for some of them they seem almost random
that'd certainly be cool
pun sort of but not really intended
chills
Or fist weapon that blunts.
genius
Heh, true that ๐ none of current ones actually do blunt do they
-# Except empty hands ofc
not that it bothers me that harshly, but having items on the bottom by default makes it a bit more inconvenient
Yeah, we have 2 with purely slash damage and 1 with mostly pierce.
they should make it so u can do the combo tech with fists ๐
Flametal knuckle dusters would be cool
Carapace knuckles?
Why would they choose to add a bug to more weapons
That would be cool ๐ tho i am kinda hoping for some DN knuckle dusters
Cause it's a bug weapon
they should add a fist with a 3 hit combo and the third swing is a uppercut that does 3x
and then also let me combo tech with it ๐
Dont fists have 2x combo?
2 hit combo with 2nd attack dealing 2x damage is quite strong tho.
yes
Left right
it would be bonkers
1x 2x 3x but with low base damage might be interesting, right now we only get bonus damage on the final hit of most attack combos
and its always 2x
also give spear a combo ๐
we also need an armour set that gives either like +15 to knifes or -25 percent stam usage with knifes
could be cool ๐ค
Would like to see 2 handed clubs gets a combo
What's the best secondary weapon? Frostner, mace, black metal battleaxe, etc? I use my sword mainly but also carry a blunt weapon and would love to carry a cool and effective plains-tier weapon
-# Blatand suggestion marketing here: #suggestions message
No shame in that, I do it likeโฆ once or twice a week

There goes Dogg again, bringing up those damned plants!
What if you wanted blueberry bushes but the big, jolly blue troll says smash
Pretty much have had that happen to meโฆ numerous times lol.
can yall disconnect kravoes in vc hes been sleeping
And Iโll be honest, itโs a mega bummer ๐
Watching your bushes and trees slowly dwindle as your world progresses brings sadness
does frost resistance mead do anything against moder?
it does if you don't have a cape that gives frost resist, fenris chest, or the wolf chest
but If i do it does nothing?
So if you have any of those it's useless
I guess then I crafted 6 frost resistance meads for nothing lul
Decor.
I provides you with frost resistance, whic the other mentioned things also do ๐ so you just need one of them to get it and more are unnecessary (in regard of resisting frost dmg ofc)
well, I'm on my way to fight Moder, wish me luck
Gl
ofc the wind is in the complete opposite direction of the way I'm trying to sail...
As Odin intented.
I swear that's how the wind always seems to be while sailing
Murphy's Law: Valheim Edition
I am shocked at how big the raft is. I was expecting much, much smaller.
Is it gonna float off? Do I need to anchor it or something?
So if I jump off, it will "anchor" itself nearby?
Thanks! Have to admit, the boats gave me a big push to get this game.
best things to fight yagulth? its my first time
and i do like no dmg w the blackmetal gear
Frostner imo
wat even is that
Silver sword is technically best
Silver weapons are nice for extra spirit damage, sword and battleaxe having biggest amount of it.
Craftable weapon after you find Haldor
But black metal weapons should be good enough too.
haldor is the dude you buy mejendjord from
Yes
its maxed out but does like no damage
What weapon?
Which one?
So, it does no damage at all? or it does very little chip damage
ice arrows are probably gonna suck, but blackmetal sword is just fine
He's just a tanky boi. Don't expect to find some weapon when you're at plains tier that will delete yag in 30 seconds
Best weapon, especially if you already have decent sword skill would prob be a maxed out silver sword, but it's not a huge improvement over blackmetal sword
It is improvement of 32 dmg, which is over quarter of the BM swords total dmg ๐ค
And it's silver
I mean people told me to bring 400 arrows for moder so the bosses in this game are quite tanky in general
exactly. Not a huge improvement
If you feel like you're doing no damage, 25% more than nothing will prob still be nothing
Especially if you have to go mine 300 silver or whatever it takes to make an upgraded sword
Still pretty significant imho ๐
But true i guess xD
equivalent to like 20 skill levels
if you have a bm sword and are in a hurry use it
yag is the easiest boss to no-hit
Generally I find 25%+ to be a pretty good damage buff, but in this situation I don't think it's really going to change much about the underlying situation
- don't use pierce
- don't use fire
ez
ice arrows actually do pretty well against yag compared to other arrows, even spirit because the frost is a larger fraction of the arrow dmg
400??? jesus. idk how people shoot arrows at a boss for an hour isntead of melee
idk, that just what I was told
her melee attacks are really easily telegraphed and most of the time she sits on a little hill and can't hit you whil we with our fancy new hitboxes can
Some people just miss that much ๐
Pretty sure I used arrows only first time I killed both elder and moder
same
i think that's the strat if you're trying to kill her with a finewood bow and no armor ๐คทโโ๏ธ
best strat is just fight her normal and wait for her to cheese herself by landing on a pebble and biting and frost breathing over your head while you freely wail on her
imean it wouldnt be terrible
Moder is, IMHO actually one of the trickier bosses, if you're not very good at dodge-rolling and your weapon skill is not at least in it's 30's. All bosses prior to her can be killed with literally zero skill levels. Moder is the first boss to punish you when you have no decent skills.
I think Yagluth is the easier of both of them.
I just did a short expedition into Mistlands with a lvl 2 Fenris armor, lvl 3 BM sword and shield. It worked surprisingly well. I killed a Gjall with no fire protection and a lvl 2 Draugr Fang and Needles for arrows.
I didn't even get a scratch. ๐
The insect population was a different story. Fought two seekers and it was calling it close.
But the Fenris set gives you SO much mobility. You just jump around nilly willy, even without a feather cloak. It was a lot of fun.
VILES are actually so strong wtf bro
Anyone else have a jerky chest filled with like 400 wolf jerky?
Yeah, I used Ashlands weaponry against them. ๐
Silver sword/frostner wrecks viles
is this the chat to find people to create a world with
Nope.
Hmm, I'd say Moder has very slow/predictable attacks so they can be dodged/outrun and she's not too tanky / resistant to damage types, but she's the first boss to do real heavy damage with some of her attacks
Whenever I play vhard I gotta break out the triple hp Mistlands+Plains+mountains food, wolf armor, and root harnesk to ensure I don't get one shot on the off-chance I do get hit
Taht would be #1024264966712340510 channel ๐
im thinking about buying the game is there alot of multiplayer still
You can either find a server that is looking for people, or you have to roll your own.
You can certainly find plenty people wanting to play with others, but the game is really designed to be played solo or with few close friends ๐
yes theres a bunch of multiplayer servers
Most servers want to have a look first at their new comrade.
oh cool, thanks everyone
But you can also enjoy the game solo, as mentioned.
ive been playing ark survival singeplayer but its not really meant for that
Not sure... but Valheim sure is. You can play it solo.
I've been playing it for the last four years or so solo.
WHAT IS THAT
It is a few biomes later in the game. ๐
Currently the last one.
It's fun running around the plains at night, getting chased by enemy X, Y and Z (don't want to spoil it) and then try to find a vile and then kill it without getting killed yourself.
Black metal atgeir works wonders against them if you're using enough health food and are decent at parrying
i have bronze
Well that's a start, but in fairness, I don't think that's going to do much to a vile
bro its because this whole time i thought i was supposed to be going to plains after swamp and i dont even have any iron and i thoughti was supposed to be beating these enemies as per the progression
i need flippin chains bro
Ah, I see, well where you are it seems it would be swamp> mountains> plains
Silver sword and Frostner make me happy versus Yag.
From wraith at night and from crypt chests
Wraith spawn consistently in specific areas.
In the swamp yeah
Their raid can gain you a decent number of chains
You just have to get it.
That too!
BR INM BEING CHASED BY 2 DRAGUER 2 WRAITH AND AN ABOMINATION
im trying ๐ญ
and then ofc its swamp so theres nowhere to go
If it gets too rough I wouldn't mind tossing a couple chains your way, I have a ton extra
im trying not to cheat
Gotcha, that's why I said if it gets too rough ๐
otherwise i would've turned off skill loss on death its so baddddd bro
you lose two stat points per death
Just wait till you start losing 5
Yeah, 5 off so many at once is really painful.
wait wdym wait ๐ญ
it gets worse????
let me guess every boss you lose more skill points ๐ญ my gosh bro idk if i can take ts anymore
Then there is the 2, 3. 4 points off everything else.
It's a flat 5%, so the higher your skill...
So when several of my skills are around 90, and a bunch of others are 60 plus, dying really ticks me off.
so it takes 5% of the highest skill?
All skills.
Yep...
wow
Yeah. Painful.
Well not everytime, only if you don't have the condition no skill drain, which lasts 10 minutes since your last death
I tend to die once every 11 minutes.
Checks out in the ash
Not really, but yeah. I rarely benefit from that.
Feels more like a pity prize for dying lol
I average 6 deaths per play through.
Not sure if itโs been mentioned, but you can tone down the death penalty so you only lose 1 point in your skills per death
Like last time was 3. 2 of which were versus Fader.
Took my raft across the water, looking for burial sites on the black Forest coast. Discovered that I can't distinguish burial sites from troll caves.
Oops.
Mhm
Died horribly. Realized I didn't have enough supplies for a second raft. Ran around the water. Recovered my body, ran to my raft for a quick getaway.
Rafts do not do "quick getaway," and trolls can wade quite a distance.
Will be running again.
Yeah, had an experience much like that. Pretty sure it was my first play through/character.
Hi I'm new. Is it okay to ask if any more experienced person or a beginner group could take me in? I am new and am playing for the first time, and think I could use help with getting the ropes down
Is mine. I'm learning a great deal, mostly the hard way.
Finding a group can take lots of hours.
๐ญ
it said if i do that im straying away from how the game is meant to be played
That's the fun of it, you don't have to do anything linear
It just makes it more straightforward if you do
It's always up to you, but I suggest the full suffering at least once.
There are people here who play on the hardest settings. Guess they like suffering.
so the wraiths only spawn when im being chased by an abomination and 5 draguer got it
*Whenever you dont want them to spawn ๐
Sorta, it smells your fear
Similarly when serpents spawn more frequently when you are sailing with boat full of iron.

another vile just spawn, yeah bro i learned my lesson ๐ญ โ๏ธ
yeah what im thinking too
spent whole nighttime looking for wratih
omg bro idk how ๐ญ
OMG ABOMINATION VS LOX?
Is there like, a list of structures that can't be damaged? Like the swamp trees, meadows stone formations, etc.? Ive tried searching for it but haven't been able to find a set list
A good way to check is to.. well.. hit it
Yep
nah the abomination got poppedl ike a grape ๐ญ
isnt that a good thing
ohhh full of iron lol ๐ญ
Free roots ๐ค
gotta get past the lox first โ๏ธ
are roots even useful man
you fighting with a knife khalexio?
They unlock the crafting recipe for root armor pieces.
Super useful
isnt bear armor better
hmmmmm
no my favorite weapon is bronze atgeir
oh same. I use bronze atgeir right up to the point where it is not strong enough to stagger anymore
Better is subjective. The chest piece itself grants you pierce resistance which is super effective for tanking hits from archers and other pierce damage dealing enemies.
On a technically the root chest it considered the "best"
but knife vs lox is so much fun if you just run circles around it
chest piece of root armor?
i just enjoy the stam regen buff from the bear armor its free stamina and health regen too
Full set grants you +15 bow skill levels. Helmet itself grants resistance against poison too.
very useful for swamp not going to lie
But wearing any of pieces makes you weak against fire.
Which is not problem in swamp.
the torch gremling:
what they called again
Yeah, torch fulings, shamans, cultists inside frost caves.
fuling*
Which can be negated by using fire resistance wine.
oh yeah bro another thing i learned is that 1 star enemies will mess you up ๐ญ
is that a mead i have to make?
Yes, it's unlocked with materials in plains.
It will be useful even if you didn't use root armor.
Oh you think 1 star is bad huh...
i've only seen 2 star leeches and greydwarfs and the leech luckily i wasnt in the water โ๏ธ
oh yeah and the 1 time that 1 star elite drauger 1 tap me
2 star bear is surely a sight to see.
2 star troll โ ๏ธ
IS IT THAT BAD whats worse the log or the hands :sideeye:
ALRIGHT night time wish me luck for chain ๐
LMAOO
Luck be with you
have to avoid the lox and viles first ๐ญ
the fuling killed the wraith for me W fuling โค๏ธโ๐ฉน
Does this game perform good with multiple people on a server?
Yes and no
Usually depends on the server, but I use IndifferentBrocilli as a host and usually don't have any problems with 5-6 people on at once if you have scheduled restarts every day or so
I hear a lot of people have issues
Personally tjough i had no issues when playing with one person un-dedicated server or with 4-5 people on a dedicated server
Okay thank you, can Xbox players join a dedicated server I play on steam?
Any leaks of their other game yet?
Yeah there's a crossplay option for most hosts you can enable
should i get hit by ts two star leech to see the damage or would i get 1 tap with 120 hp
Pet the leech
Are you talking about Begraved?
the bear:
thats iron gate other game?
Not Irongates other game necessarily, but a side project some of the devs are working on in their gf time.
i see, seems fun but no early access yet, thou a demo is good enough
Girlfriend time?
You know what- Iโm not fixing the typo ๐
What were you even typing tho, I'm curious now.
Haha was supposed to be โfree time!โ
Mm yeah, no company time used for developing that game.
Not like I would be bothered by that anyways lol
_ _
Anyone have any ideas how id keep a deathsquito as a pet (without mods)? The only thing I've really been able to think of is seeing if I can dig a hole and iron bar the top
Pretty sure you could build a stone box and when the deathsquito comes after you trap it inside and carefully replace one of the walls with iron bars so you can watch it
Fighting moder for the first time. Steaming for the entertainment value when I inevitably die.
Does anyone else get extremely pissed off when they die in Valheim?
Especially when they run out of stamina
Only if it's due to not being able to pick up all my stuff from my body and not getting the corpse run buff
True itโs very annoying when the mobs camp ur gear
I find that the biggest way to keep from getting frustrated by a death is to simply never be farther than about 2 minutes from a portal.
Might do that tbh I rarely build portals
I've watched my idiot nephew do the same 5 minute corpse run for an hour straight. "bro. just build a portal closer"
All of a sudden my Wisplights aren't working anymore they don't clear the fog at all anymore.
Hey now be nice to your nephew
๐ I told him I was going to start charging him to recover his body for him
Didn't doubt you for a moment
Will wood break fully from rain alone?
Well so most importantly I donโt have to worry about fixing bits of my base that get rained on
anything under a roof piece won't degrade
Does anyone have any interest in a Tower Lox Farm photo tutorial?
Where the babies drop down into a pit so you have "unlimited" babies?
I'm considering, taking screenshots and posting my design.
How much do you have to worry about deathsquitos agro'ing on the lox and them stomping your build into dust?
bingus why is there a staircase in the swamp leading underwater?
Yeah I know that, but I like having balconies and such
SeaWorld
NO WAY SEA WORLD?
Or you drown it's a 50/50
Plains so far has been my favorite biome I think
None, I made earth walls and have workbenches and fireplaces all over. I just have to drop in and repair the build every now and then.
Swamp is mine
Mistlands is by far mine
Aesthetics? ML for me. gameplay? 7 way tie for me
I really didnโt like the swamp ๐ญ
Iโm torn about the plains armor though
Havenโt gotten to mistlands yet, but Iโve heard itโs good
On one hand the vilebone armor set is what I want, mechanically, but also the padded armor is so cool looking
Padded I only use when I need it. Fenris 4 lyfe
A lot of unique and fun stuff yeah
I hear it's not the most fun time if you have certain disabilities or weakened senses tho
I do like my lamellar armor is cool
When it comes to looks, Mistlands is great.
Thing is, you won't see much of it, unless you are able to venture above the Mist.
Iโve been using the fenris armor lol
It plus the claws have made the plains pretty approachable to get into imo
And with how open the map is
It's funny you say that because prior to the bear claws... I've never had any use for first weapons.
Itโs a really nice contrast with the swamp and the mountain
fist weapons are so goated
I always prefered the knife.
I'm glad they made them skip most biomes, otherwise I would be tempted to use them in every biome
Despite the fact that it's much more fun for me to change weapon every biome
I used to love the knife and spear, but I've been leaning more and more towards fist weapons since they got added to BF and Plains
me too
they generally just feel like a better knife to me
that parry bonus on the bear claws just goes SO DAMN HARD and I do love it for that
I used to really like shield + spear
A knife with the stagger of a battleaxe
but the fists now feel super good
I might grab an atgeir in the plains here though, the fulings do like to be in large groups
I do so much more damage with sneak attack with fists too than with knives
I love knives for small groups of fulings because the attack comes out so much faster and those little shits run around sooo damn much
that makes sense
spend five minutes chasing them in circles
I also appreciate that the fist weapons have forced me to get better at the combat in this game
parrying and timing and such
before I used the very safe - and very boring - shield and spear poke and hide tactic
I use the Root Armor Top in the plains. Deathsquitos don't harm me with that armor on m
I love the way the bear claws shred brutes. I feel like there was never a perfect weapon for them before.
Does it one-hit stagger them on normal?
no but you can get the 2 hit combo in after each parry
they drop like a rock
and even an un upgraded paws can parry them
Once you understand to go slow in the swamp and keep your rest buff up you're golden. I always use a hoe to make paths so I'm not walking in water. I place fireplaces down to help with enemy spawns.
I dig up surtling Spawns and turn that into a coal/surt core farm.
Oh yeah I mean I got through the swamp, I just didnโt particularly enjoy it
I got a bit tired of not being able to see, for one thing ๐ญ
Swamp is the great filter of valheim. I swear half of everybody who's played it never made it through.
I'm going to make a swamp treehouse stronghold in those unbreakable trees!
I find swamp a bit on the boring side too. Still great to play through but I prefer other biomes
Swamp is where you start unlocking a lot of OP shit tho
Actually stagger power of atgeir (6x).
I did take about a 6mo break because of the swamp lolololl
Welcome back
That was now a few months ago, I picked it back up around christmas
eh, I feel like they all have similar enough stagger per second
Battleaxe secondary has 4x stagger, but half damage makes it effectively 2x of weapon damage.
But on the other hand it attacks much faster
I usually equate 1 fist kick to 2 battleaxe thrusts. Similar time and stagger to me
I've been using the black metal axe and shield for the parry bonus.
I am up for a change of pace though. You use the bearclaws? I want to change my playstyle. I like carrying an axe because I'm constantly cutting trees for wood/building while in the field.
no valheim for 5 days since pc broke, really feeling the withdrawl:(
Yeah the claws are very nice. No movement speed penalty, pretty good parries, solid damage through a 2-hit combo which is a lot more flexible than many weapons 3 hit combo.
Secondary staggers just about everything (BF fist weapon can stagger a brute in one hit, Plains can stagger a fuling berserker in one hit).
And you also get 6x sneak attack multiplier, which if you intentionally miss your first hit and make the second hit connect you'll essentially be doing 12x damage on a sneak attack
are the hildir loot places super hard, or?
if you intentionally miss your first hit and make the second hit connect you'll essentially be doing 12x damage on a sneak attack | Oh man what a genius idea.
the bosses can be parried but they have pretty substantial health pools
How does that work?
Sneak up, punch air then hit your target?
if you are in the biome relevant gear, they are pretty difficult in my opinion.
basically yeah. Takes a bit to get the hang of, just gotta turn or walk closer slightly between the two hits. You can also take advantage of the first hit being wiht your right hand, and the second with your left hand. Use that hitbox to your advantage
Often times I'll just jump at an enemy, miss a hit while travelling through the air, then hit them with the second hit when I land by their butt
Mainly loxes or what enemy do you do this for?
Eh any big enemies. Though generally I don't play all too sneaky. against big enemies I more like just kicking them to stagger them, then follow up with regular hits to stagger lock them and kill them
Oh okay perfect thanks!!
is it possible to scroll on an items description page to view stuff that is off the screen?
when examining some items, i cant read everything sincve there is too much and id like to scroll to read it
Only option I know of is the wiki.
is cooked lox meat good? the swamp food is better
bet that
How is the new update fellas?
(I've posted this in building aswell so sorry for the double message)
Heyo! I'm currently building big ol wizard tower, I've been getting along fine but I'm having trouble with a SINGLE 2x1 Stone block not being stable enough and crumbling, would anyone be able to help me ๐
My wife and I have been happy with it.
Are you using supports?
One thing you can do is using the iron grate as a supporting structure.
Another option is to put wood iron poles up as a skeleton, then build the stones around and over those poles.
I'm several floors up, I can build the bricks to the left and right higher, just a single brick won't go any higher
Which means the structural integrity is bad at that spot.
Hence my question.
Although I think you've already answered it without answering it.
Probably not "to ground" with that column.
I've just stuck a wood iron pole in the actual middle of the brick and it's staying up now, none of the others have needed it, thanks vikfriends
lox meat is kinda plentiful you can eat cooked meat and have the pie as well for cheap 2h
How long does it take for the ashlands boiling waters to start hurting you?
8 to 10 seconds I think
Hmmm, so you have those seconds of open time to swim from one grausten pillar to another
ya and if you're willing to take damage you can last just a little longer depending on how much health you have but it drains fast
I wonder if you still burn fast with the fire res potion?
I don't think FR helps with it
I just got valheim is anyone is interested in creating a world i learn survival games fast
I suggest you play through the first boss solo before joining a server
It's a bit like a tutorial
okay thanks
I was just hoping for this tree I chopped to knock down another on it's way over. Instead, my game crashed.
musta been an important tree
I just hope it saved since my last load of lumber.
you probably reverted to like 10 minutes ago
turns out the tree in question was the yggdrasil
Do you guys still rock with either bronze pendant or iron brooch in the plains?
Up to your personal playstyle
I enjoy bronze pendant throughout pretty much the entire game, lots of people love the brooch
Trinkets are really whatever and not all that impactful unless in a boss fight
In due time traveller, In due time
GTA 6 is gonna be out by then ๐ญ
Good for Rockstar
If I had a dollar for every time someone has mentioned that GTA 6 is gonna be out before Valheim, I would be a millionaire ๐
GTA6 b4 valheim 1.0 just means you can play likely a very good game while you wait for deep north
Or vise versa
Adrenaline comes in handy during quite a few of the raids as well.
yea ig that too
Lands of ash too
And in certain dungeons, late-game.
i don't find trinkets to really be all that useful in dungeons or even ashlands ๐ค
Even the nimble one?
yea, I personally just never feel the benefit
๐ฒ
I think trinkets should have both passive and active bonuses
as long as the passive are very minimal i'd agree
^
whats up?
i found this wtich person waht should i buy from them ?
i can send u a ss if u want
no ass, ty though
huh ?
really just serving tray and scythe handle,, and even then meh
Squirrel hamstring
Yum
it has no scythe handle
alr bet
it's unlocked later after killing a boss, always go to back to the witch after you've killed a boss to see what new unlocks she has
Feastables fr
alr bet i also killed the broom she hasd nad got the broom is that usefull ?
Dang
๐ค not really just kinda cool to have the broom trophy
oh alr
It comes back too after a few minutes I believe
yeah it does
can yall help me advance in this game i havent unlcoked anything new in a while
the recent thign i unlcoekd was the tar thing
In the plains?
yeah
Can you actually block yagluth's right hand slam with a shield?
whos that
The boss in the plains biome
i havent found him i recently jjust found the plains biome but there pretty samll
Should be able to yeah. Though I imagine it still leaves a fire AoE that will cook you quick
well i have the silver shiled
Yeah thats what im also thinking, the lingering fire damage yagluth will left after slamming to the ground
i can share my screen if u want to sse what i have but ill be hella laggy
Did you kill mountains boss?
nope waht deos the building look like to spawn it
teh only bosses ive beat are the elder n the dear
Always gotta kill the boss of a biome before going to the next one.
Mountains boss spawn platform is pretty small, just a round stone circle. But if you check around stone towers or even in frost caves you may find a vegvisir (red glowing stone) that shows her location
Should have also killed Bonemass (swamp boss). But if you managed to get silver without him, I guess you're okay
yeah i got silver
well i ahve found 3 moutians but no boss
and aslo like 5 diff swamps n no boss
Do you look for the vegvisirs? Usually coming across the boss spawn place itself is rare, but coming along the rocks that will mark it on your map is common
for the mouitian i odnt think ive found any but for the swamp i have
yeah mountain ones are definitely a bit more rare. I'd just check the stone towers around the mountains for one, but may have to search a few mountains
I really don't recommend skipping any bosses, at least on a first playthrough.
Technically you can progress through the game without beating them, but it tends to require special tricks / exploits. Mountains boss is the one boss that is almost impossible to skip and still progress
i take it back atgeir best weapon in the game
I'd rank bow and ||magic ||above it, but yeah it's pretty OP
theres || magic ||in ts game?
Some forms yea
i just got ||poison|| arrows im ngl
sorry for asking so many questions but this is my first time playing this gmae and ive only been playing for like 1-2 weeks . so what i need to do rn is look for hte mountain boss or waht else can i do ?
Yeah pretty much. Go search mountains, look for stones with red symbols in either stone towers or frost caves
ive found one thas one with the wolf loking things right ?
Yeah frost caves have ||wolf people|| in them
Most the time I find the stone with the location in stone towers tho, they're more rare in caves
alr bor thx for the help ima go double check if i missed it
waht weapons its the best to kill that boss when i find it
Much like the deer boss and Elder, it doesn't matter much. Most weapons will be very effective.
Bringing a bow can be helpful tho
fire, needle, obisidian which arrows?
Personally I'd recommend not asking for too much help, some things are fun to discover for yourself!
The needle arrows are from 1 biome later though, so they generally are more powerful
After this boss though, I would try not to bring Pierce weapons to boss fights. The bosses start resisting that damage to make it harder for people to just sit at a safe range and shoot them with a bow
oh alr then no more question sorry about that well thx for the help
If you get really stuck anywhere feel free to ask though, but I had a lot of help first time I played and kinda regret it
for me i wanna know whats ahead so i can be prepared yk
yea valheim is best played without info
many of us here wish we could wipe our memories and go back to our first playthru
what i would usally do in the situation is make one of my firneds buy the game n paly with at there pace so its basically ur first time playing
I've been searching through Mistslands for several hours now finding one Cave, that didn't even have a Core inside
I suppose this is just bad rng and the caves aren't even that rare?
many such games
If anyone is ready and willing to, could they hop onto my world and hunt some serpents for me?
Hello!
I am new here can sm1 plz tell where I can buy valheim steam keys at a discount humble bundle always says restocking keys in your region....
If this is not the right chat to ask this where do I ask?
Unfortunately, they may have to bring their own Karve components. Greydwarf pricks smashed my old one
As for how, it was mostly left lone near the river for a while
is there an ETA on the final update?
not yet
if im holding a wood round shield with 6 armour then i a have a knife with 4x parry bonus in my main hand would i get 24 parry armour or would it use the 1.5x parry bonus of the shield
Probably guessing shield
I watched a video by smittysurvival showing how to detail exterior walls by adding layers but I want too see other examples, do any of yall know where some are?
Ninebyte is very good as well. And "Hi, I'm Klaus". Very nice, cozy buildings.
But I love SmittySurvival.
Nobody answered your question so I will. Best way to find those infested caves are to look for stone stairs that lead upwards somewhere and usually that will take you to an infested cave, the other way is to look for those Dverger houses/buildings and sometimes there are no Dverger there but there are Seekers hanging around it, usually that means an infested cave is inside, down the stairs
And some Mistland areas simply don't have one, or maybe just one. You might have to try your luck somewhere else. Usually you will find tons of Mistlands continents and islands in a wide ring before the Ashlands or Deep North. So, there's plenty to go around. Don't hesitate to explore!
Valheim goes on sale every now and then, where it will be available for as cheap as 10 Euros/Dollars. So if 20 Dollars is too much, I would just wait till the next Steam sale.
Do you have to change the locations for the Sap Extractors. I mean is there diminishing returns on the same spot at some point?
The production rate does decrease over time per root but if you dont collect after quite awhile the extractor will still fill up and the root will fully rejuvenate
Most people have several extractors on several roots and some people rotate them around
yeah, I asked since it really seemed to me like it slows down siginificantly, thanks.
Yes, I would have either two roots that you source in an alternating manner, or just wait till the root refills. If you hover over it, it will give you a hint.
If you parry with your weapon then it uses the properties of the weapon, if with shield then shield takes priority and parrying uses shield's properties.
Bouta try valheim with a gtx 570ti someone wish me luck
You can get cheap keys from reputable sources like loaded or instant gaming.
Would anyone be down later this evening to hunt down some serpents for me?
Bonus if you can get the scales and head. The main 2 prerequisites are to be somewhat experienced with this and likely bring your own Karve components. Environment and Greydwarves destroyed my old one
So my friend and I finally got around to landing on the ashlands
He jumped off the boat, ran into a bit of trouble and sensibly escaped. But then couldn't jump out of the water onto the spire and died.
It's okay! I can just place the portal, right?
Nope. I am short 10 finewood for some reason
So I turn the boat around, pick up a bit of speed, and start cruising ahead. Voltures attack!
Like an idiot I jump off the helm briefly to kill them, but can't seem to land a hit with my sword
Crunch! My boat is halfway up the beach and cannot be reversed
Charred are destroying it. I kite them away and kill them, build a workbench and repair it only to discover that a drakkar cannot be pushed like a longboat can
So I spend what feels like half an hour hacking at my own boat while my friend sails a longboat to the edge of the ashlands with the remaining 10 finewood I need to make him a portal
Surprise! The drakkar drops the finewood I need for the portal anyway, so I build one and return to base, intending to go straight back with the total finewood required, except the only finewood we have left is with my friend on a longboat at the edge of the ashlands
Long story short, we finally got established at the ashlands and found a putrid hole right next to our portal with the vehvisir and enough molten cores to get started on moving stuff over
So honestly I don't know what people are complaining about. Ashlands is easy, it's my own idiocy that's gonna be harder to beat
I love reading Ashlands stories.
There is this saying that we are our own worst enemies.
My landing this seed wasnโt too bad. Found a ruin about 60 meters offshore, killed a bunch of voltures and set up a portal. Then started on the beach. Died a couple times, took out two spawners and found a pit with no morgen in it. So now I can transport everything to make a base. Buddy used my portal and managed to clear a fortress by himself so he has a safe spot too. And I tamed two 1 star asksvin but that was a pain
Oh and killed at least 8 bonemaws while sailing there
the cunning player beats ashlands easy ๐ค
A mighty story to tell your grandchildren one day
"I was there, pre-nerfed ashlands"
โI was there, Gandalf Smiffe. I was there three thousand nearly two years ago. I was there the day the strength of Men failed.โ
I actually did make the journey to the Ashlands pre-nerf... but not with the Drakkar. I didn't have one, because I had yet to beat the Queen. I used a throwaway Karve, and sailed as fast as I could to the first spire that came in sight. I just made it, before the boat fell apart and sank. From there on, it was spire hopping, one after the other, and hoping that I didn't die.
I actually made it to the Ashlands.
I also would've survived there, if I would've known what I know now. But I did make it. ๐
Our first group to hit Ashlands was a bloodbath. So many sunken drakkars, so many deaths. We would distract the mobs while our builder focused on earth walls. Took a lot of attempts before we had a portal that didnโt get destroyed
Yeah, took me a while to realise to just build a portal on the last spire in front of the beach, where the mobs on the beach can't reach it.
From there on, it was pretty smooth sailing.
Not that it was easy... ๐
For me it takes the fun out of the game to build on unreachable spots. I like to engage with the enemies
Oh... there's enough "engagement" in the Ashlands. ๐
And they're not completely unreachable. Voltures can reach them easily.
I had to defend my portal from voltures more than once.
Valkyries come to mind as well.
Voltures aren't a challenge sir ๐
In packs they are, especially when you're just arriving there for the first time.
I took them down with a finewood bow and wooden arrows ๐คท
I was pre-occupied with tons of charred, as a pack of voltures gangbanged me.
ALONE, they're easy.
Even in a pack tbh
Maybe for you. Not for me. ๐ Especially when being harassed by tons of Charred.
I just dislike earth wall strats, don't mind me.
I thought the charred couldnโt reach the spires
Well, I meant on the beach.
But tbh never been on one for long
Not when I'm on the spire. And yes, the point is not to stay there for long.
Yeah on the beach anything can be challenging when thereโs a lot approaching you all at once
Exactly.
I usually can deal with Charred and Voltures... but sometimes, when you're health is already fairly low, a pack of Voltures that arrive seemingly out of nowhere can be your death.
I've never had that happen, but I also keep that Tasty Mead stocked
Again, just Voltures I can deal with. The problem is when you're already swamped with Charred, and then all of a sudden a flock of them arrives.
Voltures can't move while they're attacking and also they avoid fire so you can hold a torch or step back
Swamped isn't a thing when your stamina can essentially jump to full in 1 button press.
You still need to get away from them, and I don't like to just sprint of in one direction that might lead me into even more Charred.
if you press c to walk slowly that can still be enough to avoid a volture's attack
But yeah, I'm also old and slow...
Running away is key in a lot of engagements
Depends on where.
In Ashlands it's rarely a good idea, unless you know you can make it.
And yes, running away is often a valid strategy.
Ashlands is fine, nothing can keep up, you can lead anything following into dvergr, or dip into a putrid hole.
My point is, in the heat of battle, when you're health is already low, and you're surrounded by Charred, a flock of Voltures can be your death. Doesn't have to be, but can.
I have no problems with Ashlands. ๐
I guess I am just offering advice if your point is that it can happen, it can, but shouldn't with just one helpful mead and knowledge of how to shake a tail.
That's alright. I was just retelling some of my adventures in Ashlands. I rarely use Tasty Mead, and I know I probably should, but I often do forget in the heat of battle to apply potions. I'm just an old man with bad reflexes and too much panic. ๐
Too much panic, not enough disco
hi everyone, I just come back to Valheim after a bit. can someone help me understand which branch should I be playing on ?
The one that connects to Midgard
my understanding is that default public has early axes changes, and public-test have the bear update ?
well steam game version is the right world I guess
I see, thanks
any plans for better inventory? trinket has shrunk it even more
They made a post asking about inventory changes a few months ago but no confirmations
Do ashwood buildings survive in the ashlands?
Nope
I'm building the floors and stairs of our little base out of grausten but I don't know if I cbf making the walls and roof too
I think its probadly safe to build ||shield generator|| just to avoid any stuff to get caught on fire
Oh yeah I forgot I have those
Weird fkn things
Now I have the stone portal, which by the way, is exactly too fkn big
I guess I can bring them across
The test branch and live branch have the same updates currently. Thereโs nothing actively being tested
Do the vendors get anything new after bearing the queen?
Bog Witch will have a new ingredient for you @red coral
๐ hey k2
Hi Scales ๐๐ป
Are the bog witch candles permanent? ๐
they will burn down but you get the wick back
just have to use another resin to re-craft it
Okay well that's not so bad lol
they look really good with the new garlands
I wish there was another permanent light source in the game lol
Surtling trophy is the only one I know of
dvergr lanterns
hanging braziers are my all time favorite. they burn forever and put out a really nice light
So true lol I love them
I always budget for 4-5 of them in my endgame base
I have one hanging on the top of my house so the entrance is always lit when you come to the doors
oh yeah, they look so good outside too
My friend has his entire base covered in the blue standing braziers ๐
I'm too much of a portal-holic to be able to afford spending eyes to keep those lit
Yeah I run into that problem with the blue torches
But yk if you dig out a pit around a greydwarf spawner so that it's levitating, you can put some tame wolves in the pit and farm the greydrawfs that spawn and get killed
been playing five years and I've never once built any sort of auto farm.
Only "farm" I do is finding a swamp with surtling cores and making a route for free coal/cores
Nice. I don't mind it. It's something an expieranced player in our world set up
I just think it's neat, being creative with everything the game gives you lol
Oh I love me some cheese when you can get it. Like building earth columns in boss fights to break LOS.
I like creative but hate cheese
In games yeah
IRL no, but I do try to go easy on it bc it's not the healthiest thing
how long do you guys use bear equipment for?
plains
I'll usually swap to root armor once I get it, to get poison and pierce resist
seriously though, i'll do the legs and chest until I can replace them with fenris
Bear -> Fenris for me.
If playing on normal and having access to poison resist mead, I'd probably do bear until fenris
I will say though, the plains vile armor is so nice
Been a while since I farmed them but didn't seem like a big grind to me
I'd find 1-2 per night which is decent, and if iirc you don't need many drops to craft/upgrade the armor and weapon if you have some hide leftover from killing regular bears
If you're not maxing them out it's not so bad but you need 24 ribs for q4 everything which can take a while.
That's fair, I may not have brought all the armor to q4
I enjoy the hunt.
My group was also thrilled by the addition of viles to the game.
The buffs are far superior to bear though. Compared to bear, that +25% stamina feels sweet, and 10% more damage (applying to both pierce and blunt, rather than just slash) feels really nice to me. Makes it fun to pair with a spear or crossbow.
I imagine the blunt is cool for embers or porcupine
I do like them. They make plains properly dangerous at night.
I like dragging them over to a tar pit to kill them quickly
I recall I might have suggested something for plains night long time ago, maybe berserkers.
Viles is good addition for plains nights.
although night fulings are a true danger, god they're hard to spot, doubly so if there's stars in the mix.
I'm a fan of armors having useful set bonusses too
Too much optimized mix-n-match with root and fenris and heavy helmets
#suggestions message
-# Indeed it was bersekers you suggested
Root armor should have pierce resistance as set bonus instead of just chest piece.
Yeah that's how I play. Not allowed to equip root harnesk unless I'm wearing root mask and leggins too
eh. one of the things I love most about fenris is the benefit from one or two pieces.
Not saying all bonusses should be set bonusses, or that non-set bonusses should suck
Just nice that the set ones are actually useful and the non-set ones are not ridiculously OP comparatively
Like I personally feel troll set bonus sucks and I would never run full troll armor specifically for that bonus, but harnesk bonus is just too good and I'd be willing to run just that armor piece for that bonus 4 biomes later
they could also just nerf root chest bonus
I died in a troll cave and every time I go back in he kills me instantly before I can click to get out
what do I do
Get good at dodging to avoid his attack, grab your stuff, and run out
Or grind back new gear to make it safer to go in and get your stuff, or potentially kill the troll
nah he's literally right there at the enterance
like he's got a shot wound up before I can even get out
and he won't leave
like I enter, he's right there, I turn around, and BOOM dead
Maybe eat 3 health foods, should be able to tank the hit. At least if its a punch and not a slam
I'll try that thx
But I think with good timing you should be able to dodge before he hits you. Dodging gives i-frames
honestly, even once I'm in AL and have stone portals I still get my iron from swamps. Getting iron from ML is just such a PITA.
alright this the second time i see a dark shadowy figure disappear in front of me
whats to come ๐ ๐
๐
I love posts about him so much because it means new people are still playing the game ๐
Bastard was standing in the middle of my turnip patch once. scared the sh*t out of me.
Shhhhh, you don't see me here. I am simply a turnip. shhhh
lox = lizard ox?
LOL
im not new i have bronze ๐
oh my sweet summer child ๐
i thought he wsa from the mountains but he just appeared near the ocean ๐
Language! Show some respect to our father.
you may be onto something
How did I never work that out before...
yeah. how?
Nope ๐ those are not for farming
they are used for another use.
1984
technically you can plant them but only in one particular spot and they grow something... pretty big.
- Father
I am so glad that you can teleport nails
How much luck have you all had finding the "Early Axes"?
wha should i do with this cooked dear and boar meat throw it away?
hmmmmmm
or just build another chest and forget about it
Atleast boar meat can be used for sausages
he already cooked it
Ah
cooked boar can be used in a feast
Feed the rest to the wolf
oh that's right!
I often dont eat the early feast
yeah, and probably not a lot of it if at all
i only know cause i use the feasts for decor
god i love feasts so much.
Only until I get to plains is when I start incorporating feast in my diet
really? I'm all about that seafarer's and swamp feast
Theres feast for every current biome
finally made the AL one for the first time last week. Looks really good
Vineberries and magecaps?
Well maybe not eitr
makes it really easy to get to being able to summon skellies
and that ๐
But more specifically foods that give decent values for all 3 stats are really nice
Yeah, prior to feasts all the split stat foods were pretty terrible
ML and AL feast are currently imo the best feast imo
mist + ash feast combined with a stam food is a pretty good hybrid build
I run magic heavy build so marinated greens
looooove me some marinated greens
Quite strong with access to magic and decent survivability
I always hate it when I struggle to find a vineberry village on a new world.
vineberry village?
eh, those apartment buildings where you find the grapes
are vineberries still bugged?
they seem better
Nope they good now
I'm skeptical
But the vineberries do need a few seconds for them to pop into existence
Similar to blueberries in BF
I don't usually bother with farming them. Can usually just stock up from an existing structure easily enough
yea that's what i do
might plant a few for aesthetics though
just pondering if it would be wise to get an actual farm going for the deep north prep
Yes
although I hate that they won't grow under an overhanging roof
Pretty or not make prep
I have an iron chest full of potions
And chest full of food all 3 types of the best and the 2 best feast atm
eitr, stamina, and health respectively
So im well stocked for deep north
Yeah but do you have any sweetbread?
just got spend 1000g on one ๐
yea if there's eggs gg for me
my chicken coops are always so much nicer than my actual house
The thing about chicken its a has 2 different important resources
Chicken meat and the egg itself
and feathers
Chicken meat for the honey glazed chicken
Eggs for mushroom omelette
So its hard to farm
I usually just let em free range around the base as a decoration
You'll have plenty even all the way to ashlands
hmm maybe i'll make a plains base and have a chicken farm there, they also give feathers right?
I still have quite alot of feather
and if a deathsquito gets em then <shrug>
eh you can make a nice shack for em
Asksvins still don't have a limit to their entity cap

So just breed an army
I have like 2 sides of the my ash fort completely overrun with 2** asksvins
And they're like a giant wall

Even a valkyrie dont stand a chance
Alternative strategy: Ballistae
Ballistas
either or
Oh shoot, are we discussing chickens? ๐
aaaand that's 5k hours played.
huge

In commemoration, you should build 5000 bases on your current world
5 000 000 bases.
1 million bases, for 1 million dollars
yooo! new valheim playa here
Welcome to the "club". Maybe we should create a name for it.
welcome playa
My most played game on PC had 400. On PS4/5 it's 700.
5k is impressive
Valheim is my most played game I know of (just shy of 1k hours)
I did play quite a lot of minecraft and destiny once upon a time though, wonder how long I spent on those
People with far more hours have posted here, and they don't work at IG either.
Grimm is in the 5000 hour club, and I believe Smiffe is at least close to 6000.
So to be on par with people who work on the game...
I'm not sure how much I have, since I play mostly the App Store version these days, but I bet it's at least 3.000 plus.
Probably more.
Probably.... WAY more.
Mine are all via Steam. So it's accurate in my case.
My wife is closing in on 3000, and she still works, and does a fair amount of over time.
Man, I always struggle to name my new characters
If I can trust the "stats" command... which I'm not sure I can since it does show obviously erroneous information, my most played character has over 1030 hours accumulated in his two mostly played worlds...
If it's not your job, it is pretty crazy
Add another 50 from the other worlds...
I only have the hours I do because I am retired. I have been since 2017.
This game has quite a few people who are on the older side, no offense, I've noticed. If I had parents, I'd like to think they'd play.
Retired here as well. But I've been playing before I retired. ๐
I can't wait to retire. Still got 32 years to go!
I wish our kids would play with us, but they only like games we don't. ๐
Yeah, my wife sadly doesn't like Valheim either.
Then you should get a new wife
I am very glad mine does.
We've been married for over 30 years now. ๐
Mine loses interest after mountains
My wife and I are working on our 36th year.
I might be your wife ๐คฃ
I'm not sure the stats command is accurate... Oh well...
nah, she wont be seen dead on discord ๐
This is our 32nd year.
Incognito then? ๐
25 years as domestic partners.. we both got burned with first marriages. We might make it official soon just to make will/funeral planning easier
Working on my 7th with mine ๐
maybe, we don't even tell each other our social media aliases.. But she would know mine in a heartbeat
I've used this name since early days of WoW as an undead priest ๐
And now I play an undead viking... I have a type
Necromancy
Ok, Valheim-Steam says over 1600 hours... and that matches roughly what the stats command shows. But I have a lot of hours under my belt in Valheim-AppStore... Hrm...
My wife stays off media now a days. For work related reasons.
Yeah we are real careful with what we put out there. It shocks me how much people share online
They track you, so you should be able to know what they know. Maybe they just kinda hide it?
And this aint general chat... oops. So anyway When is deep north (kidding)
Undead priest and mage as well.
What can I say? I like my undead. ๐
Maybe get a second wife then?
No?
Swamps has the best ambiance for me.
Yes.
Not Ashlands?
I like spooky more than hell on earth
I'd be happier if Ashlands didn't even exist, so not going to argue in it's defense.
Ill be happier when we finally get the deep north update lol
I'm nervous about that update tbh.
After this winter, I want exploding trees in Deep North.
Anyone not aware of this phenomenon can find plenty of videos on the internet from this winter.
I am aware of this, and also that quite large chunk of the videos are fake ๐
(Still plenty of real ones tho)
I second this idea
I just worry for how much they are going to change in the final update.
Yeah, they are faking a wide range of things now a days.
That's a good point also
Satis was like 9/10 until 1.0 when they over-casualized everything and (to me, personally) dropped to a 6/10.
dimensional depots watered it down a lot
Those were the biggest ๐คข thing they did, but they also changed a lot of recipes and building costs to make everything easier.
Imo, not everyone wants to play a game where a single mistake can cost you hours, if not days or weeks, of work and effort
That's a very valid opinion to have.
I don't think we have to worry about IG suddenly wanting to be merciful.
My concern specifically about Valheim mainly is in "what are they going to do with inventory?"
Because there are logical answers and then there is the "add the 32 slot backpacks so I never have to think again plz" people...
I always wanted a flametal cart I could hook up to an Ask
I still want my trader wagon with a lox team. So don't hold your breath
Yeah I'm not. I've made due for 5k hours no mods. I'm sure I'll be fine with DN
5300 and no mods, so yeah, I will survive.
I always say I've never used mods but I've got a world with some 2 star loxes on it because I wanted to make the game harder before they put in the world modifiers.
it was not fun
I stopped using parry and dodge roll way back when for the same reason. Maybe with the new settings I might use them again
honestly backstepping is so OP
Yeah. I don't do that either.
