It is night time, I do not want to mine because the visibility is low and a sea serpent may spawn. I want to mine at day time. I cannot land at any nearby shore as they are either plains or swamps. Can I get on the leviathan, place down a workbench and portal, go home to sleep and whatnot, and come back without disturbing it?

Improve the hide/show function where if you equip something else while the items are on your back, they stay that way.

For example, you put a mace and shield on your back. If you equip a bow, the mace and shield are unequipped off your back.

Make sure to isolate them and deal with them individually. Their ranged attack doesn't stagger, so you block that and try to get up close

Blunt weapons. Frostner is absolutely insane against them, arrows insta kills them if u do a surprise attack. You can dig a channel to drain the tar and collect loads from the pit.

Literally takes 15 seconds to clear any tar pit with huntsman bow and fire arrows, it's ranged and it's safe
