The seekers?
They’re very short so you can jump over them. Try to jump over them and time a secondary attack to hit them as soon as you land. This should stagger them if it doesn’t kill them, allowing you to attack again to finish them. Crafting a feather cape will make this easier.

that it's two handed you need longer to swing so small enemys in large groups are harder to kill you should play something like sword maze or mage or when you have a friend he could use Magic and you Krom that would be a good combination to kill high HP enemys and low HP Group enemys

That is the easiest way, you can also kite gjall or seekers there to kill them, you can ram a cart against their stuff and get it like that or catch a pufferfish and throw it against them so the poison kills them also works and you don't get aggro.

Only outpost and the ones in the vicinity. They are all quite dangerous, best thing is trying to isolate them and take them one by one as much as possible.
It is still the easiest way but also the most hazardous.
Another thing you can do once you have some refined eitr is taking that with you and toss a few down near the crate or ward you want to break and just wait.

Nice, in the mistlands I always try and carry around a stack of blackmetal so when I come across a dvergr settlement I can get the extractor and place one near on a root and add 2 portals, one connected to the previous sap extractor and the other to the ned of the sap chain.

Nah, wait till you are done with the mistlands before going for ashlands.
For melee it is the best armor, for mage build there is better and for ranged I would still go with fenris from mountains.
In ashlands there are better armours for all builds.

With a Staff of Embers it is quite easy to hunt hare.
Also a good way to get hares is finding a spawn spot and find the exits and block the exits with stakes, anytime you pass by it the hares get spooked, run into the stakes and voila dead hares.

You need yggdrasil wood, refined eitr and surtling cores and a galdr table.
For the galdr table you will need black cores, refined eitr, yggdrasil wood and black metal.
Black cores are found in the infested mines the dungeons of mistlands.
In total you will need 15 black cores to build all the crafting stations, you can make do with 5 and decontruct and build something else though.

True story. During one of my game sessions I caught a crash when sailing to my next planned location with a boatfull of metals. The saves somehow would not sync and I risked to load from an unsynced last save. My character woke up in its bed and my boat with metal onboard, I was sure, was left drifting somewhere in an open ocean. I located the place where the game was saved by the trace line I had done in the fog of war before the last autosave happened, and I set off to regain the boat. Having got to this Bermuda triangle I did not find my boat anywhere close and expanded the search circle wherein I spent an hour searching. I gave up and proceeded with the game progress. After a 100 ingame days when cabottaging along the shore to my base staffed with iron in the deep darkness and fog I seemed to detect white sails of someone elses boat. My jaw dropped. This was my very boat found nowhere close to the place where it could be lost, since I am pretty sure that I did not sail there during that last voyage. I loaded the metal to my drakar and left the boat drifting as a memorial of my luck. That's it guys Modder bless your sailsfull of wind.

Pin my nickname in discord I am also all for the coop and consider someone to share the world with, but i have never deployed a server so that we start a world and a server can be accessed by anyone from us at any time and all our contributions to that world are saved, and if we catch each other at the same time we could coop for adventures. I've found an interesting quirk that I hesitate to mention because I don't want it to be "fixed." 🙂 One of my bases is on an island off the west coast of the spawn continent, and there is a channel between and the coasts are mutually visible. If I swim from the island across toward the continent at a certain point the game will spawn like 100 seagulls at once (it's like a seagull explosion) that all fly back toward my island. I go back there and clean them up and get about 6 stacks of feathers.

Gotcha, that sounds like a couple experiences I’ve had lol. How do you get into the fortresses yourself? Do you build up into them?

I drop a workbench in the indent under a corner that had a skugg (which I've killed with arrows), then use the fortress itself (its spikes) to support ladders 2 or 3 wide. Get up to the top and use ranged to kill whatever's waiting, then pop bonemass and jump in.

you will definitely want a fermenter, a cauldron, a cultivator apart from tools and weapons and maybe armour (i often use troll armour at that stage in the game because bronze armour slows you down a bit and only has a little extra defense

Yes, chickens will lay eggs at night. But breeding is not a time-skipped activity. If you sleep, your animals will lose their fed state, but you won't get anything for it. So stay awake if you're in the middle of breeding anything.

A bit late reply, but for the future you can figure out what type the enemies are resistant or weak against by looking at the damage number:
Yellow = the enemy is weak against that damage type
White = the enemy takes normal damage (not weak nor resistant against)
Grey = the enemy is resistant against that damage type.

Essentially only thing that enchanted weapons need is the effect upgrading per level, even if slightly.

It depends on how many different weapons you use, more variety would result in lower individual skills. How many times you’ve died also affects it, of course. Mine are anywhere between 40 and 60 at that point.

You might think it's slow but it's cotinuous progress. They have already announced that they want 1 more biome before a full release

I think it's healthy to criticize valheim because as great as it is, it's definitely got its fair share of flaws, especially in the most recent updates, but I feel like assuming things about the devs just really might not be the move. Like they very clearly do care about the game a lot and listen to player feedback, and while having a clearer road map might help with player communication and expectations it is ultimately their game and they have a right to change what they will about the direction they wanna take

Yes, and it depends. If you have tames in the open, then move away from that area, and fight them as best you can. Otherwise, just hole up inside somewhere and wait them out (if you don't want/feel able to just fight them).

It might be a scaling issue for me tho. We play no map, no portals with very hard combat and use CLLC to make mobs even stronger and up to 5 star. I know a few items don't tend to scale doing that with mob strength, that may be one of them.

Slayer is a hefty chunk of metal, not sure if it can be called a sword.. 😉 Axes are great too. Also the Mace has become a lifesaver in Ashlands, especially Klossen my beloved.

Only if you count every weapon with the clubs skill, not the individual weapon types. Sledges and maces behave very differently, so I'd say there is a gap because mistlands has no mace, and there are more biomes without sledges than those with sledges.

It scales fine for normal mode. You don't get a buckler because it only slows you down, S&H is an excellent knife in terms of damage and speed, and also acts as a decent weapon to parry with (you can definitely parry the non-starred mobs in Mistlands). All this so you can keep going without any speed penalty which is kind of their whole point.

Oh. On my windows machine(i5 10400F, 16gb ram, 3070). on around 9k-10k instances in the main base.
I've tried:

1. All the Graphics Presets and still get an indecent fps. Although I'll try going over it again tomorrow.
2. Modifying boot.config as per reddit. (gained some fps here but as the instances grew, the lag caught up).
3. I've been using lossless scaling to try and get abit smoother experience...

At this point 60fps or at least 40fps is decent for me in this game.. ( I do get on average an fps of 100+ in anywhere that's not the base).

Ironically on my Macbook Pro M3 Pro 18gb (Balanced). I've been getting a consistent 40-60fps in the base. It's really much smoother than my PC and it goes to 100 fps in non developed areas.

I used the giant thumb as cover getting in as many hits as I could with frostner and popping boht meads, then when I got low with both on cooldown I straifed around the thumb peppering him with the silver arrows to keep up that dot and prevent boss regen

Like all creatures, bosses regenerate constantly so more damage won’t affect the regeneration. Well done with the fight though!

Anything not built out of stone needs a roof over it or it will go to 50% durability over time from the rain but it will never break
