I think the result can be different, not sure 100%, but caves fs mess with your directions

Single star animals drop double the amount, double star animals drop 4 times the amount.

Plus they're harder to kill and do more damage.
Which is why 2* boars and 2* wolves are so much appreciated.

Better keep your eyes open for carrot seeds and use those to grow more carrots.
Gives better food, HP and stamina regen.

Using flint arrows makes it easier.

For The elder, use bow, flame arrows and troll armor.

Nope. Beech and bushes give "wood"; Birch and Oaken trees give fine wood, Pine gives Core wood and Ygrasill trees / bushes give that Ygdrasill wood you need for some Mistland items.
And somewhere in between you find tar to create Darkwood.

Smash an dwarf crate, then in the bug places, cheese the whole populace from the entrance

The only enemies that can fit in there are ticks, which are a non issue, and very lucky flying seekers

Never stop running and you’ll survive

Yea I've only ever gotten them without a harpoon. A lot harder / more luck based tho

Gotta get a serpent to spawn relatively near the coast and have it follow you there. Then shoot it dead with arrows or spears while it's close to the coast, or trap it with wooden walls close to the coast and kill it. May have to build a bit of scaffolding into the air so you can jump and drop deep into the water and pick up any scales that ended up somewhere deep

I would also assume if you jump off your boat and lunge at the serpent with any weapon (althuogh with a secondary attack knife or spear would be extra cool!) to put the final hit on it you may be able to pick up the drops before they sink

recently paved the roads, added in a protective wolf pen and a pet wolf pen, made a socialising area with a bonfire and pagoda and started planting trees in the north east corner to get a steady wood supply without trekking to a forest

I usually make 2 pits, one for myself and one for the wolf / wolves.
wolf pit get a stair I can jump on but the wolves can't reach, floor over that pit, lure wolves on top, destroy floor and have them drop down into the pit.
Throw in food, run away, sneak back and drop into the pit, floor over my own pit and chill till wolf is tamed.

Water level is entirely uncontrollable - you can't dam anything, you can't dig holes to avoid water. It has a universal level based on on the game's "tides" and "storms".

Once taming starts, animals don't despawn anymore. It's even possible to tame wolves from a raid, but it's so tedious you're best going into the mountains for that.
